We were just there today. Super nice park with a good trail next to the river. Small building with historical info and visitor log. Its amazing to me how this natural "drain" at the end of the river is exactly the right size to accommodate the amount of water flow. Also enjoyed the small rapids. The kids liked the playground.

Great review and I agree with points. For kayaking, we put in next to the swim area and paddled upstream then turned around. It was a short trip but very beautiful (always nice to get on the water!)
    Water was super clear.

Thanks for the input from your experience. I loved the hiking there. Glad to hear that the water is good to paddle in. All the best!

We stayed at O'Leno State Park campground just a few months ago. Your review is quite good. We were traveling up I-75 and it was a good stop over. And we used it as our base to visit Gilchrist Blue Springs (whose campground is worse than this one ). The hiking at O'Leno was really good!

Great review as usual John!! Since you called out the narrowness of this park, it made me think that it might be a good topic for a future video. Trailering tips and dealing with tight back ins...I know its taken some practice and work for my wife and I to get use to the 25' RPod 202 we tow in some of these situations...patience and the promise of a cold beer always prevails 😃

Yep, we are planning a full backing in video. Needs lots of planning but should be worth it.
