I honestly really like both, but after playing through The Surviving Lucem, Liv’s new voice fits really well. It has that youthfulness that I would expect her to have after finding her true family with Gray Raven.
I think Ai Kayano is better imo. She just has the “graceful yet shy” kind of voice, the one that soothes my mind. Itou Miku, she’s great and all, but she doesn’t fit Liv at all. She sounds…younger to me. And a little too “hyper”. The original is better to me.
Old VA Ai has soft and shy but mature girl voice which fits Liv perfectly. New VA Miku has smaller and higher voice which indicates veey much younger age than Liv actually is. But strangely, Miku's voice fits Empyrea. 😢Old VA will be missed still😢
Just comeback the game, and noticed after battle something wrong with the liv's voice, she sounds wrong in my head, and searching about the seiyuu and I was right😅
I love the new voice better than the old one. Liv's personality is supposed to be younger than Lucia, charming, kind and shy. The old VA is like Onesan version of Liv , cold and lifeless.
It's fine to like a more cheerful Liv. But being younger doesn't mean anything for soldiers in a post-apocalyptic war, especially Constructs. Lucia is not a high bar to surpass either since she was the coldest member of Gray Raven, while Liv was the most mature member (despite being the youngest). Of the original 8 characters, Kamui and Nanami were the only ones with charisma.
@@order5904 "Despite being the youngest", you already mentioned it. Despite being construct soldiers, you can't totally neglect their mental age. Liv can be finally at ease and act her age when it comes into relation with Commandant.
@@moonlightshadow4140 You ignored the first part. "Despite being the youngest" was about her actual age. In terms of her mental state, she was more mature than Lucia, which is who you were trying to compare her to. I do not think the mental age that you are thinking of means what you think it does. A prime example being that No.21 has a mental age of 22 but behaves freely like a baby.
@@order5904 But I hate to say No.21's mental stability is not normal. Kinda like a psychopath character who acts in a repulsive manner regardless of her age. So that might not be a prime example, it's more like an exception.
@@moonlightshadow4140 No.21 is not an exception. She is that way because of her backstory. Just like how Liv is the way she is because of her backstory. Liv served directly on the frontlines as a medic even before becoming a Construct.
@@cheapgaming3252 That's why i heard the old one again at some point, I actually thought they brought the old one back and I was so happy when I heard it
This might be my personal preference, but I like Miku Ito way more. She has way more emotion in her lines and feels like she’s actually talking to you. Kayano Ai sounds like she’s bored and talking to herself, treating you as a child, has an acting feeling or has to talk to you- like she’s reading a script half the time. Not bashing Kayano, but I’m glad I got the Miku Ito experience since it suits her role imo. Liv has never been an introvert after joining Gray Raven, but a strong independent woman (like most females here). To summarize, I feel like Kayano was slacking on her job in PGR. Miku did really well for her role as Liv.

You know honestly her new voice suits Emprya it seems more self assured & more older I’ll miss Ai but at least the new voice suits her

Ye.., Miku sounds like too Miku to me, Liv is now has an extrovert's voice😔
I know..I wish we could still have Ai Kayano’s voice, always loved it.
Agreed.
I missed her a lot today (she's not dead, I just really miss Ai Kayano as Liv's voice :

Welcome back I guess...
Or farewell again if this is enough to turn you away.
Just came back too, and while in a battle Liv sounded weird lol
RiP liv.
Just personal taste, but new Liv reminds me of sidekick girls in harem anime trying to gain shikikan's attention. 😭💔
Will take time for me to adjust.
We have Kokkoro now lol
Kokkoro: "Algae-sama"
Me: "Algae? ...Sure, I guess you can call me that."
At least they should keep her voice for the older frame.... I don't hate miku but Ai feels more liv to me

Oh damn when did Ai get replaced
For Global, it only just hit with the Survival Lucem update (F Liv update). However it was replaced about 1.5 years ago on CN server.
@@order5904Not sure permanent but, she is back in Selena amplifier patch
Edit: NVM they said is bug. Her voice is replaced back by Miku

Why the old va got replaced?
Controversy
Because of Chinese Snowflakes
Ai Kayano, the old Va visited a temple that commemorates the Japanese war against China and...
Politics can be stupid sometimes
Oh my the voice of japan is better than
Both are Japan
Battle Over and Signature voice lines are the biggest L here.
