I wish I could meditate. I’ve tried, I’ll keep trying of course, but man my mind won’t shut the hell up. The thoughts are never finished. It’s just noise. I’m not sure how to deal with that, as I feel some thoughts slip through without me noticing only to then fester into something destructive. I know practice is often the only way, I guess I’m just wondering what you would suggest to work on first when learning how to meditate.
@nocturne000 what helped me is to just meditate 5 min a day in bed before you fall asleep. It's a good start. Keep it simple, observe your breath. When distracted by thoughts, emotions, sensations just return to the breath. Keep doing it. In time your focus will grow, you can meditate much longer and you become more relaxed. Its about accepting reality as it is. That is what's the breating exercise all about. Observe your breath, when you notice you are distracted, return to the breath. Thats it.

@@XTRABIG I find it difficult to focus when I have to keep switching between tasks. My problem is the impending work-related task acts like the elephant in the room and when I try to do one thing and focus on it, I completely forget that the world exists let alone the other task/work-stuff. I am so on edge about forgetting my work that in the end I can't do anything. It's more of my ability to 100% completely focus on a thing gets in my way and since I live alone I don't have anyone (apart from alarms) to nudge/poke/remind me that other things exist. It is easy for me to get stuck in doing a thing in full focus and deep detail like the protagonist of Tolkien's Leaf by Niggle. Any ideas? I am aware that for certain types (personality types?) of people this seems easier to do than for others.

I feel multidimensionally constipated. Our society collectivizes as instructed by media and the ensuing dog-pack mentality. I wish there was someone i could talk to who knew the roads to navigate. I feel so alone, yet know there's plenty of others in the same situation. Good luck to everyone in limbo.
To fully grasp Jung, I recommend studying Kant and the Gnostics. Both shaped Jung . John Vervaerke has an encredible 50 segment lecture series on “The Meaning Crisis” that touches on this
I do agree with the power that lies within the shadow. Fifth year into shadow work, and I have developed a sort of shadow persona, that's an amalgamation of all my trauma. Its so good to let the little rat out once in a while, especially when people ask for it😂 (I'm not violent, just a bratty lil twink)
I just don’t like the reference to dark and light which means good and bad. It just is. To me I don’t like negative and positive, good and bad - judgement. They are all real and just are there, all mixed up together one reflects the other.
The darkness is where everyone including you came from. There is no light in a mother's womb. Only darkness. The darkness is the "unrevealed". Darkness has been demonized by those attempting to oppress and control peoples minds.
You ever become who you really are, then turn back from your real self to your old self? Knowing that one day you may need the new self, you keep him on a shelf? I’m a combat vet…. I’m a father of 3 and a husband…. I’m not the guy I used to be, but he’s certainly in standby in the event he’s needed. I carry a pen because it’s mightier than the sword…. But I always carry a sword….. sometimes diplomacy fails, and when it does, I’m your huckleberry.

My shadow is being average, normal, nothing special. I wasted countless opportunities in life due to lies , i lie to myself and others im more, better, that i am in fact. I would hide, change jobs , manipulate... Literally anything to face myself, my average performance, maybe a little below average... I nearly ruined my whole career, .. i almost lead myself to death not to reveal the scale of this catastrophy. Thre. Meet my shadow. Avarage man. It took me 30+ years to name it. Finally. Im speechless. Really don't know what to do with it. Wish me luck. Be smarter then me. Bless you stranger.
I dont think we are able to grasp our entire personality at once it's paradoxical. To be both creative and organized. To be logical and psychic, empathic and happy. Yes, They're gray areas between these. balanced finely... sure but I haven't found a solid middle point on the fence that isn't shifting one way or the other. Like there are paradoxes between these two even. Areas between the poles uncharted. Like the coin flip paradox, using historical coin flip data to predict future flips does increase probability of correctly guessing above 50%. And that's logic and intuition or psychic skill combined. Can I change my bone structure from a 6'0 man to a 5'7 woman? Im not saying its impossible, Im saying the opposite. I Encourage discovery of the shadow. If quantum physics is a paradox to Newtons and with every piece of new knowledge attained, all previous knowledge is more moot today than yesterday... how long does it take to rewrite the universe where things seen impossible today become possible? What do we have to forget in order to learn something more fundamental and more true?
It takes a lot of work to be a complete, well-rounded, disciplined, insightful, emotionally balanced, compassionate, spiritual person; countless hours, more intensive than any university course, a lifelong endeavour, I'm still working on it.
This is something trans people used to teach within indigenous cultures as berdache shamans and healers, and in the current time they embody that journey openly for all to see. So we could witness what it takes to embrace our shadow, because if it does not destroy the norms or beliefs, it is still a victim of the sociert afraid to come out. Our shadow hides our highest potential to rewire the nature of reality and bring great destruction to the world in order to re-build it from the ground up. Our shadow is a beast that is needed because it contains the fire necessary for the passion to lead one's life.

That which you were is the womb of your becoming
Brilliant take on the “shadow”.
I am impressed by your tone, soothing; the depth and conciseness of your expose! And your illustrations, amazing, wjat is the software? Is it your drawing?
On the content reach, i appreciate the Yung's horizon summary that you provide here. Much love...and Integration! 🎆
Ultimate BEST video ever. Thank you for the knowledge and TRUTH.
Well done ... very well done
my shadow is an absolute monster.
Incredible wisdom
Great video my brother!
My👣shadow is light✨because my☀️Soul is🕯️Bright🎺😎!
Thank you so much! I like to listen to your beautiful voice

i love carl jung so much what i love more about him is that he is deeply rooted in christianity and god
To fully grasp Jung, I recommend studying Kant and the Gnostics. Both shaped Jung .
John Vervaerke has an encredible 50 segment lecture series on “The Meaning Crisis” that touches on this

Amazing content, thank you so much!
Thank you ❤😊
I do agree with the power that lies within the shadow. Fifth year into shadow work, and I have developed a sort of shadow persona, that's an amalgamation of all my trauma. Its so good to let the little rat out once in a while, especially when people ask for it😂 (I'm not violent, just a bratty lil twink)
How do you know if what youre believing is false or not? How do you find your way back?
Well done. Thank you : )
Thank you for your work bro
If I fave my shadoe does it mean ill I get a cool ghost I can summon for battle?
Wow!!! How profound! And also what a treat for my eyes and ears! 🫶
I just don’t like the reference to dark and light which means good and bad. It just is. To me I don’t like negative and positive, good and bad - judgement. They are all real and just are there, all mixed up together one reflects the other.
Simultaneously 'One and Different'
Darker as in hidden or unexpressed rather than negative
Observation is not judgment...eliminate self importance
The darkness is where everyone including you came from. There is no light in a mother's womb. Only darkness. The darkness is the "unrevealed". Darkness has been demonized by those attempting to oppress and control peoples minds.
Think SPECTRUM.
Even with such things as love, hate; ice cold, extreme heat, etc.. 🤔

But I always carry a sword….. sometimes diplomacy fails, and when it does, I’m your huckleberry.
i am learning that my shadow needs to express himself and thats why i often feel imbalanced and anxious. What is my shadow telling me?
Carl Jung began to call his work Analytical Psychology so he could differentiate his work from Freud. Freud continued to call his form of psychology “Psychoanalysis”. In short, Jung was so dope he outshined Siggy & the neurotics!

I would have liked to have heard some practical advice for the intergration part though
Love you mate

Beautifully sums up Jungian theory 🙏
Thank YOU ❤
Thank you for the video..
I had two shadows. A father and a son I believe within. They were only trying to help me. I know that now.
It takes a lot of work to be a complete, well-rounded, disciplined, insightful, emotionally balanced, compassionate, spiritual person; countless hours, more intensive than any university course, a lifelong endeavour, I'm still working on it.
It's more of a journey that you can enjoy, rather end goal
Thank you for this powerful share
This is something trans people used to teach within indigenous cultures as berdache shamans and healers, and in the current time they embody that journey openly for all to see. So we could witness what it takes to embrace our shadow, because if it does not destroy the norms or beliefs, it is still a victim of the sociert afraid to come out. Our shadow hides our highest potential to rewire the nature of reality and bring great destruction to the world in order to re-build it from the ground up. Our shadow is a beast that is needed because it contains the fire necessary for the passion to lead one's life.
Man. this is tuff. how i do tap into this power?
