You must be kind of young. This guy was legendary in the 80s, left standup for Broadway, and only a few years before his death, came out of the closet.
He was a regular on the Jay Thomas Show, a SiriusXM radio show for a few years around 2014, 2015 or so. He was hysterically funny as a sidekick, just hysterical.
I believe there is a 30 minute or so version of this....bits have been edited.... remember watching this 30 years ago on channel 4.... really tickled my funny bone....you know?....
I recorded this from the original HBO airing in the late 1980s! This has some of the performance left out... not too much. The most noticeable part that's missing is when he sings the classic "I DON'T CARE, I DON'T CARE!" before he goes outside. I watched it 100 times, easy. The coincidence of meeting Lawrence Taylor and John Salley is off-the-charts!
@@vhscomedyandmusicvault8874 yeah... CC probably edited it also. Most of it;s there, though. That crowd was weird. They laughed more when he went outside.
What a genius this guy was. How did I not know about Kevin Meaney until now? It's not right! Thank you for posting!

His mother said the same expressions as mine did like get that puss off you face
There are so many important memories I have of my life centered around this, specifically "I Don't Care". Thank you for posting this.
I don't care, I don't care,... I don't care! I still sing it today.😂
Thank you for putting this up. The other ones I’ve seen have the outdoor segment missing.
Thank you! been wanting to see this for so many years.
Funniest guy ever.. thanks for posting!!
I liked Kevin Meany back in the day. I wish he was still around today.
He made his act appear so spontaneous, that was the appeal of it to me.
Thank you for finding this. It settled a 3 year old bet. 🤣
I need to know what the bet was. 😄

That part at 7:25 about the "Jack sauce" has been on my mind all day, so glad I found it :)

I remember this when it was on HBO. A little chopped up, but still hilarious

I recorded this from Comedy Central, which wasn't ideal.

"Don't be doin' it in the butt! That's not right!!"
Who's here because of Joe Rogan?
Yes ! & I was thinking about acid when he started talking about it , But that is because of Joe & THE DMT.-
Early Richard Cheese
Came here sfter Sandler was on Joe Rogan ta check him out
I wonder what he would think to know that so many years later…after he passed…
People are still laughing their ass off at his comedy?
What is wrong with the audio?
It's from a VHS tape.
@@vhscomedyandmusicvault8874 That shouldn't matter really.
It's terrible, but I'll try to get through it.
@@vhscomedyandmusicvault8874 Love Him , Love You , I hope this reminds everyone About How much we LOVE HIM !!!!!
Holy shit what a dead crowd. Kevin killed with this routine all the time. Figures they went crazy for the Beastie Boys bit.
I didn’t laugh once.
I'll alert the media.
