Hey gang, I was a bit experimental in this video trying to expand more on the concepts and worry less about keeping things really tight and concise. What did you think and do you prefer this style? Please share any feedback you have :)
Yes, this is nice - a half-hour discursive video talking around key aspects of a topic is really nice, and allows for reflection as you reinforce the points being made.
I would actually love some unedited content from you, something Hamza-style. Young viewers might now have the attention span for that but I'm sure some people would also find that valuable
I’ve been watching your videos since 2020, when I was searching for effective study techniques during my masters. Because I watch you regularly, your videos something feel repetitive (which is ok, since the messages are important) but I feel like this is the best video since a very long time. Thank you!! I’m excited to read your book soon ☺️🙏
This was so good! Amazing book Lewis! Really enjoyed your podcast with your fiancé, y’all’s vulnerability and openness is what I strive to encompass more myself. Congrats to you both!
My GPA Accelerating in business 5.0/10 Accelerating in relationships 4.6/10 Wining in wellness 6.6/10 Everything can do some work, but it's obvious where the most work has to be done :)
Ali is all over my recommendations right now. I'm not complaining though. He's the reason why I finally got thr courage to start my own TH-cam channel. His videos now just add another level of inspiration. So... thanks Ali!
I really love the longer content. It does feel like a podcast and the way you worked through the exercises with us, significantly helped my understanding and fulfillment from the video. Your videos are really great and I will be implementing your suggestions in hopes of making this the best year of my life ! Thankyou
I am reading your book right now, and did the Wheel of life evalutation at your suggestion around the new year. It helped me see that I need goals and strategies in the areas of relationships and health. Workwise I'm doing better, which is how I connected with your work. I became a nurse at 53, and now, at 57, I am almost done with my Masters in eldercare and I intend to become a specialist with the mindset of an entrepreneur, showing my work (yes, I read all of Austin Kleon's work too, when they came out) and working with different projects to improve how we ease the end of life for our patients. Which is a real calling for me, one I found after years of being a disgruntled systems analyst trying to write a novel.... I am inspired by all your videos, but also every time a bit sad that you don't find medicine as fulfilling; I would love to work with a doctor like you! 🥰
I really love the long form videos, Ali. Keep them coming. Whatever feels better for you to do will certainly resonate with the right people and that way the flame you've got for producing this wonderfully valuable content doesn't die out, which is great. Awesome prompts, can't wait to journal about all of this.
Ali's approach to productivity is amazing. I bought his book. It reminded me of his advice to stand out on TH-cam. While generic, he implements it in his businesses, emphasizing enjoying every step. In the self-help niche, where discipline and hard work dominate, Ali stands out, showcasing that enjoying yourself leads to effortless productivity.
I really liked the new video format. I'd especially appreciate a mix between longer and shorter/condensed videos. Thank you so much Ali and keep on going! I've been following your TH-cam Journey for quite some years now and there has always been something new I've learned, thank you!
Hello Ali, I always watch your videos to the end! I’m in the 55 to 60 year old bracket. I’ve been following you for over two years now. I thought this was a terrific video because each part of it was interesting, insightful and worth watching. Yes, it was longer than some of your other ones but I didn’t get bored. Good luck with your travels. Thank you.
Thank you so much! The GPA score got me really scratching my head about few things in my relationship and wealthiness. Longer videos feel a bit more personal and conversation-like (in a really good way) rather than short, more condensed ones. I’ve started the ideal week planning with the annual calendar and it’s a game changer! Thanks again❤❤❤

I was definitely impressed by the length of this video - I always love your book summaries because it makes me add a book to my list, and every few minutes or so I was like …. Is he done yet? But not in a bad way - I was so happy to be getting extra information about how you felt about this book in particular! Thanks for the positive vibes in this one!
Great video, I love all this content where creators talk about making money, becoming successful, etc... I am currently doing some dropshipping as a side hustle (started with almost nothing), and it's paying really good last few months. I have north of 10k USD income each month :) Consistency and hard work (with a little bit of winnerzila of course) will always be a good path to success. I am still not making millions and millions but I will be there one day.

Hi Ali, a few days ago I decided to take a step (after a year and a half of just thinking about it) and start my journey as a guide for moms that are struggling with achieving balance in their life. I do not have any followers anywhere, at this point I am just an another mom on social media, but as I decided that my purpose and my Why is bigger than when and how, I feel free of fear and ready to do what my heart sings for. And now, as I stumbled upon this video, you gave me a greater understanding and perspective and idea about steps that I can take next. Thank you for your time and outlook 😊
Hey Ali, I absolutely ❤ long videos. As a person who thinks so much everyday, having these prompts and activities helps to consider what’s important in life and to ground myself. Please do more they are so fun and helpful!
Hey Ali, I've been watching your videos for sometime now. What started off as wishful thinking as I watched your videos while cleaning has now turned into thoughtful insights, that have unlocked trains of thought I never imagined. I am currently a college student, figuring out who I am and what I wanna do, but I know I want to make a huge, positive impact on the world. I usually don't comment, but I am incredibly grateful for your contribution to my growth. I hope you see my name someday on a big screen.
My GPA: Business & Career= 6.0 (Winning) Relationships= 6.2 (Winning) Wellness= 3.0 (Rebuilding) My Meaningful Mission: I want to help people improve their mental health and therefore live a better, happier life. The problem I’m trying to solve is that people feel like there’s no solution to their mental health struggles. I want to help as many people to see there is a way out and that they can heal. I’m passionate about helping people and it plays to my strengths because I’m an empathetic active listener. I want my legacy to be that when people talked with me they felt heard and supported.
the feelgood farewell, this resonates with me so much '...he knew his work could be heavy, but he approaches it with lightness and ease...' that's really the ideal state I have been looking for
Ali and me have a thing in common. I wanted to go for computer science too but ended in medical like him, and I also want to be an entrepreneur. It really connects me more with him and looking upon him as lowkey role model.
Personally, this is the only video which I watched all the way from the start to the end without even looking at the progress bar. Absolutely loved the way you did it Ali. I would love to see more book summaries in the same style.
I like how you can break down difficult concepts and make them easier to understand. I enjoyed doing an exercise from one of your videos. The exercise was called the wheel of life.
My scores were: - Business/Career 6.6 - Relationships: 5.2 - Wellness: 4.2 I preferred the longer format and really appreciate the effort you put into helping others. After going through these exercises, I'll definitely be coming up with some more long term plans to improve the three domains of my life. First step is wellness, which coincidentally lines up with some goals that I've decided on recently. Thanks!
Hi Ali! I think this version is a great compliment to the other book videos. For some books, it is convenient with simple highlights. But this version urged me to actually do the work. Not just listen and move on to the next part of my life. So now I have my GPA as a basis for reviewing my goals this year, and I have also started to dig deeper into my meaningful mission. This felt like doing the homework together with a like-minded friend that you don’t know 😊🎉
This was heart-felt, genuine, intelligent, and not at all too long...it took me 4 sit-downs to get to the end as I have a two year old climbing all over me and had to stop to play with him, change diapers, naptime, lunch and so on...but I got to the end :) Your obituary made me cry. Keep up the wonderful work! I do look forward to your life chapter of having small kids and how that will influence (for the positive) new videos! Your beautiful home in the background will get some colorful upgrades with crayons and markers on the walls :) You will be a wonderful dad one day!
It was a super amazing video, got me very emotional when u read your obituary, kudos to the self esteem and the confidence you have in yourself, Thanks for always being a positive light in our lives and making us push ourselves to be the best version ❤
I loved this form it's really enriching... Much more gems in it And I also love how vulnerable and honest you are about yourself it shows that you also are in constant progress in your life. Anyway keep up the good work and thank you for your insights 😊
I am following you for years, when you were still in med school. This Video reminds me of those days, because it felt very authentic again. Your honesty showed that you are still a normal guy and it really connected with me and gave me hope that I can change my life, too.
I loved the format! The more specific sessions explaining the exercises were super helpful. Also, it was more spontaneous and we were able to see how much the book resonated with you. Many thanks, Ali!
Hi Ali, I'm one of your silent fans and never commented before. But I really want to appreciate your videos because they are factual, informative, and inspire me to exercise my goals, my relationships and my well-being. This is why I can't just listen for fun on my way to work or while knitting, I literally have to prepare a work document or have my book and pen ready to take notes while listening your videos. Your content really makes me put in the effort and helps me learn more about myself and my goal. Thanks a lot.
To everyone reading this: Remember, challenges are stepping stones to strength, and every step forward is a victory. You're capable, resilient, and deserving of happiness. Embrace the journey, and let hope be your guiding light. 💪✨
I love this but hate the idea of writing my own obituary. I don’t like the idea of thinking about my death - especially knowing how that might impact my wife and children. All the other advice from this book was extremely helpful (as always) Thank you, Ali!
25:02 Hello Ali!! I'm changing my life now, thank you for inspiring me with this video! I like this concept on being more detailed about a book, longer videos about the book is much worth watching for me. Keep this experiment up! It worked. I love it that you expand it even more to see each detail what the book is really talking about:)
Not only did I listen to the end, but I watched it twice. The first time a bit distracted, while cooking, the second time while listening attentively and doing the exercises. I very much liked this format, to answer your question!
I like this format a lot. It felt similar to your 2024 video where you walked people through the wheel of life (myself included). I don’t think you have to apply the format to all book reviews forever, but use the video format as part of your content toolkit…apply it to the things that you see fit. Personally, I get more involved in this style and I have shared your 2024 video with others who don’t know you…and now they do!
My scores were: - Business/Career 5.2 - Relationships: 4.8 - Wellness: 7.1 To spread kindness to everything starting from myself, and to innovate in mathematical solutions that helps us in real life. Lastly end hunger problems globally.
Love the long form vid, specifically because it is more podcast-like and I can fill more mundane tasks with education (“how can I make this fun?” 😉). What stood out to me most in this one is that so much advice is the same, it’s just packaged differently and that’s a GOOD thing; everyone speaks a different “language”, despite the fact that they’re speaking the same language, if you get my drift. Big life lessons like these need to come in different forms to be understood by different brains. Exercises can have the same essential objective, but have more or less of an effect depending on who does them. I guess that can also contribute to us getting a bit obsessed with productivity/success content, too, though, because consuming it makes us feel productive/successful (essentially “fake” productivity/success), which, in turn, causes us to pay less attention to what’s being said, so we don’t actually recognise that the same essential messages are being sent. It goes over our head because we like the short term pleasure of feeling sophisticated over the long term gain of actually doing the work (calling myself out here, too!). Aaaaanyway, thanks for the content, I promise I’ll act on it 😁
I cried after watching & listening attentively 🎧 to this video. I am everyday grateful for your intense concern on my growth. Thank you for the so much wisdom inserted here. I was excited and was so surprised as real as you Scores were... Thank You Ali Abdaal. I know someday I will meet you in person... Someday Soon 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank You Ali Abdaal
Ali you are making the videos very very concert ,easy to apply, gives a lot of memories in our mind, what a creativity you guys put in to it is clear and amazing...Thank ALI...real respct...!!!!!
please do more topics like this. this is the best video ever. there's so much value here. so much stuff resonated with me. i'm definitely reading that book and i can't wait. thank you for sharing this, ali.

I’ve watched this twice now and have found it to be instrumental in my goal-forming process. Thank you for breaking those down so concisely! I do enjoy that it was longer and that you shared your work, as well. That was encouraging and inspiring for me, as I struggle with defining my goals, too. And also, thank you for advertising Brilliant on your videos. I’d been searching for a platform to refresh my STEM knowledge and it has worked out perfectly. You advertise quality content that you personally believe in, and I find that refreshing in the world of trying to make a living on TH-cam. Thank you for what you do!
Comment on the length of the video as requested: I am on the treadmill right now and thanks to the length I have just burned a few more calories 😅. So please keep going so I can continue my I-am-going-to-pull-through-until-the-end-of-this-video-STRATEGY 💪
In a way, it's pretty long but the thing I love most in this video is the inclusion of actionable ways as to how to unlock your true potential. Many videos talk about the "what's" but few on "how's."
My ultimate fulfillment in my work is to see tangible results of how my showing up improved the life of the person in front of me. Rediscovered from this video that I need to prioritize the people closest to me. I like asking for an answer to questions in the comments section. Feels more like a conversation that way.
I really like these longer "llife" style videos where you ramble on for a bit with the relaxing music in the background, it's the perfect video to listen to when I'm doing my stretches in the morning.
I have been watching your videos for 3 years now you seem to always give me insights on how to lead my own life rather than feeling lost this video made me start journaling and start taking the lead of my own life starting my journey to unlock so many questions so yeah that's my intake of this video it helped me honestly and gave me insight about my life thank you Ali seriously for all of your efforts on these videos it truly mean something to me and iam pretty sure to Alot of people ❤️
The obituary was so nicely written and is true to who you are right now. You’ve helped me in my post grad studies get straight A’s and complete two certificates with honour roll. You are a wonderful teacher Ali!
"Grasp your mission securely but hold the mechanism loosely" is such an amazing quote. I do have a clear, meaningful mission, but once I set a "perfect" direction for myself to work towards the goal I find it very difficult to have to deviate from it. I needed everything to be perfectly aligned with my plan, but really, reality doesn't work like that. There will be uncertainties and unpredictables, and not everything is within my control. This quote serves as a great reminder that as long as you have a clear, meaningful mission, you'll get there eventually, there's no need to frantic. Love it :)
I enjoyed the change. I like how in-depth you were about each book and the fact that you shared your own thoughts and experiences. I see how well you connect with books like this and see you enjoy it, which makes for a fun watch. I also just love doing journal prompts and writing my thoughts down so thank you for the questions afterward. Overall 100%
Hey ali, you have really changed my life for the best in many ways, from studying, to knowing what missions to take all the way up to relationships and becoming a better human. Really liked this video, instigated me to rethink some things that i wasn’t paying as much attention as i should. 26 min that flew by. Longer videos that feel more intimate and feel like a conversation are always a win.
Edoardo here, from Italy. I watched the video till the end and I must say, for me, it was one of your most meaningful videos. It resonated with me in a way that other videos on your channel did not. This is not meant to "insult" the other videos, not at all: if I've followed you and watched lots of your contents is because I find true value in them (both topic-wise and making-wise). I think that the length of the video, paired with the way you approached the topic (in a very chill way, with, I believe, fewer cuts and a more continuous flow to the way you spoke) made it seem more like a conversation than a "presentation" (idk if this makes sense). In the end, really great job. I don't know how to express how useful your contents are to me, as a 21yo university student you helped me greatly. Thankyou
I was watching this video in morning.(great way to start a day😅)But for some reason I had to go off and at night I was thinking bout my day and thought pop up that this video was incomplete. I instantly came on yt and finished it. LOVED the whole video❤ And your farewell written was genuinely great and I truly hope it will be more better than what you've imagined Thanks a lot
Many good learning here. But what really changed my life is the learning that dividing by 5 is the same as multiplying by 2 and adding a decimal. Mindblowing
I love the longer version of book reviews Ali. I can feel your soul as you speak more when you share the insights of your mind, which really resonates well with me. Thank you Ali ❤
Thank you for making this video, in your new style. It felt like a personal entry of your authentic thoughts, like a conversation with a friend. My GPA score is: Business and Career front: 4.8 (accelerating) Relationship: 4.6 (accelerating) Wellness: 4.6 (accelerating) Excited to take this learning forward. -Ritu
That type of long form detailed video is so much inspiring and insightful.. 26 min video but it took me about 1 hour to finish because I was taking notes . Thanks Ali .
OMG 😢Thanks for being apart of the revolution of opening the doors to unlock the minds of my generation and others. Keep up the good work of being selfless.😊
I love when he does book reviews! He actually inspired me to start reading books (I'm dyslexia and hate reading) but the books he recommended helps better me
I think this is one of your best videos or at least the best book review , the way you were honest and thoughtful of everything you said. Everything you said you meant it and were not afraid of it , it didn’t seem formulaic or written to avoid judgement people , you were truly portraying yourself. Great one. The length depends on you it’s your art. If you think it should be 5 mins long let it be and if it’s 50 that’s good too. Do it the way that makes you enjoy the process. I personally gained a lot of value so this 26 minutes was worth my time and wouldn’t have minded if it was longer.
I love this new format - it's authentic and gives me a direction on how to approach and internalise the book. For example, I am very moved by your obituary, and it gives me an inspiration to write mine. I am a fan of Lewis Howes but when I first read his book, I was like, gosh, how am I going to draft my obituary? Reading those obituaries on New Nork Times featuring famous people is no help. In brief, I appreciate the way you highlight your key takeaways from the book and your own reflections. Therefore, the length of the video is less a concern - as long as it's authentic, which is totally the case here. Thank you for this video!
Saw this video accidentally as it was recommended by TH-cam... But I ended up watching the whole video til end and also subscribed your channel... Thank you so much 🙏
it was perfect and personally, I wouldn't say that this was a long video I prefer this over a short video, it's just feels so much more natural it's like having a peaceful conversation for some time, I loved it❤
I thoroughly enjoy the extended content. It gives off a podcast-like vibe, and your guidance through exercises has significantly enhanced my comprehension and satisfaction with the video. Your content is excellent, and I plan to apply your suggestions to make this year the best of my life. Thank you!
My GPA is low right now 6,4,4, but i just switched career path last year from pharmacy to stock market and things are working well now and i wrote the whole video and every point you said in my notebook because when i write i remember forever, it took me more than 1 hour to complete this video, it was worth it Ali ❤❤❤, love from India, Maharashtra ❤.
I was doing a maintenance task while listening to it. I really like the book brief by going through the best lessons in your personal perspective, I feel I could take way more information than the overall brief that normally people do and I still think like reading it, since it will bring foundation for my current goal right now.
I really appreciate your honesty and humility in showing the areas you are working on & your obituary was more helpful than i thought it would be for me. I want to do this exercise with my husband so we can succeed together. Thank you!
Hey Ali! I absolutely LOVED this style! I could listen to your voice for ever. I put my AirPods in and listen to you when I need motivation to tidy my house and put tidy ‘systems’ in place. The essential thing you provide is hope. And that is what is missing when I look around at an untidy house and lack the motivation to tidy: we feel hopeless. This longer style video was great to accompany me long enough to get one room sorted 🤣 loved the mellow relaxing music too. Remember long videos talking about productivity helps people while they are trying to do productive things (tidying/sorting/planning etc)
Hey gang, I was a bit experimental in this video trying to expand more on the concepts and worry less about keeping things really tight and concise. What did you think and do you prefer this style? Please share any feedback you have :)
Your videos are getting better every time, perfect ❤
was surprised to hear you say good shit lol

you a youtuber?
@@ColleenPatricia2 no, not really. I do some videos for fun from time to time but that's all :) editing isnt fun enough for me to keep consistency

the feelgood farewell, this resonates with me so much '...he knew his work could be heavy, but he approaches it with lightness and ease...' that's really the ideal state I have been looking for
Really appreciated the longer format, going through the exercises with us and sharing your own experience. Made it feel like a 1 on 1 with a tutor
My scores were:
- Business/Career 6.6
- Relationships: 5.2
- Wellness: 4.2
I preferred the longer format and really appreciate the effort you put into helping others. After going through these exercises, I'll definitely be coming up with some more long term plans to improve the three domains of my life. First step is wellness, which coincidentally lines up with some goals that I've decided on recently. Thanks!
Awesome! In my opinión perfect in time, content, thank you! Now I see you every night , you are part of my new good habits 💪
I really liked it. Makes me wonder about what I want in life. Thank you so much for the advice. ❤
I loved this form it's really enriching... Much more gems in it
And I also love how vulnerable and honest you are about yourself it shows that you also are in constant progress in your life. Anyway keep up the good work and thank you for your insights 😊
I am following you for years, when you were still in med school. This Video reminds me of those days, because it felt very authentic again. Your honesty showed that you are still a normal guy and it really connected with me and gave me hope that I can change my life, too.
Definitely reading this book
My scores were:
Business/Career: 7
Relationships: 5.9
Wellness: 10 (never skipping gym 💪)

I loved the format! The more specific sessions explaining the exercises were super helpful. Also, it was more spontaneous and we were able to see how much the book resonated with you. Many thanks, Ali!
Hi Ali,
I'm one of your silent fans and never commented before.
The longer video helps serve the viewer with a more in-depth summary of the book and your thoughts, love it!
At the end of the video...
I appreciate you sharing your exercises and what resonates with you and why.
My scores were:
- Business/Career 5.2
- Relationships: 4.8
- Wellness: 7.1
To spread kindness to everything starting from myself, and to innovate in mathematical solutions that helps us in real life.
Aaaaanyway, thanks for the content, I promise I’ll act on it 😁
I like your videos. Thank you for your effort to make us better from yesterday everyday😊
Glad to see the notification. Am here watching. Thank you Ali for sharing this great topic, steps to unlocking our full potential! 🧡🌟
Love the longer format. Short summaries don’t stick as well, they go in one ear and out the other. Thank you!
I cried after watching & listening attentively 🎧 to this video.
I am everyday grateful for your intense concern on my growth.
Thank you for the so much wisdom inserted here.
I was excited and was so surprised as real as you Scores were...

thankyou
thank you Merlin
Golly😂
The length of the video doesn’t matter when the content is so greatly helpful and enlightening. Thank you friend !
I will run a mile for every like this comment gets. Seriously
Keep running
It didn't feel long to me. I find your videos are increasingly mature and valuable. Thanks, Ali!!
I will do one push up for every like this comment gets.
Do it regardless. I won't like
I hope you get a million. 😂😂😂
🤡🤡
Why?
I'm investing on 94 likes 😂
In a way, it's pretty long but the thing I love most in this video is the inclusion of actionable ways as to how to unlock your true potential. Many videos talk about the "what's" but few on "how's."
I will do one push-up and read one page of a book for every one like this comment gets.
Absolutely love the new format, it feels more intimate and humane!
You are a wonderful teacher Ali!
have been following you for the past year every single week i think for now the best video of yours that i have seen
You Rock. No matter length of video . I m here for learning new things. Thank you
Hey ali, you have really changed my life for the best in many ways, from studying, to knowing what missions to take all the way up to relationships and becoming a better human. Really liked this video, instigated me to rethink some things that i wasn’t paying as much attention as i should. 26 min that flew by. Longer videos that feel more intimate and feel like a conversation are always a win.
You simply have the best book recommendations. I was never disappointed by picking up a book from your suggestions
My GPA score is:
Business and Career front: 4.8 (accelerating)
Relationship: 4.6 (accelerating)
Wellness: 4.6 (accelerating)
Excited to take this learning forward. -Ritu
This is like hanging out with a friend a listening to his passion, u make my study break filled with inspiration
That type of long form detailed video is so much inspiring and insightful..
26 min video but it took me about 1 hour to finish because I was taking notes . Thanks Ali .
I like the structuring of this video. I feel the length wasn’t actually too long
OMG 😢Thanks for being apart of the revolution of opening the doors to unlock the minds of my generation and others. Keep up the good work of being selfless.😊
I love when he does book reviews! He actually inspired me to start reading books (I'm dyslexia and hate reading) but the books he recommended helps better me
I heard of this book and I’m glad you’re talking about it, will definitely have to read it and apply it to my own self improvement!
The last key point was so great that the only thing you need to do is practice that thing you are fearing. You'll get the results. I really love it.
I really like this channel because it's not "toxic productivity". You can apply many of his advices to your everyday life, Thanks Ali! Keep going
Recently got back into watching Ali, good to see he's still doing his best. May Allah bless you brother.
I love these long book reviews or long talky vlogs because I listen to it when I craft and make things for my business
Thank you!
I'm trying and trying and I just want to say you Thanks. Thanks alot Ali. 26:19
Watching until the end really felt magical ..thank you for this video
Love the long form video! Specially the intimacy we could feel when you were being honest with your own answers and perspective
