Flying to Vietnam with Shenzhen Airlines

What was the entertainment like on the long flight? Heading to Manila end of this month 🎉

Mainly Chinese films although these had subtitles. Some English films too but nothing good imo. I would recommend putting some films/tv shows on your device before going.
I just sat with the map on for the entire flight but that's just me 😅

Great info thank you and I have the same problem with not being able to access my booking online. Doing the same journey to HoChiMinh via Shenzen, Did they book your bag straight through and are there plenty of seats during the 6 hour transit?

Yes, my bag went straight through to Vietnam. I didn't have to get it in China. There were plenty of seats in the airport some of which were very reclined and great for napping. Enjoy your journey I'm sure you'll have a blast!

At what stage did you get an actual ticket from SA? I have a cornfirmation of my booking with a ticket number by email.

At the desk in the airport. The ticket number etc was useless until I was at the desk in the airport where they gave me my physical ticket.

As a british national, did you need a transit visa? Im looking at a flight with Shenzen Airlines, from Heathrow via China to Manila for £500

I did not require a transit visa, just straight through for me.
