- Starting up Discord just to see a grey screen or an infinite loading screen? Well, this video is a good solution for most issues that cause this! After following this video, you should be able to use Discord as normal.

@@JeanRB1 i didn’t know what to do but then I realized there was a new windows update then I just updated windows and after the reset it worked

Loved it, still works, had a lot of latency issues, followed the ending processes and flushing the DNS (uninstalling wasn't needed on my end) and it works good as new. thank you so much!

Yeah I always come back to it. If the issue still persists after doing all of that, I've found removing the discord folders from my desktop bin will settle it back into place, too.

this is still helpful 2 years later! you have no idea how thankful i am. The grey screen has happened twice to me now, and the first time i completely factory reset my pc it was horrible 😭😭 i found this video and followed it this second time around and discord is running like normal again, you are truly a hero in my eyes
yup. mine decided to do this, tried the usual close and reopen, uninstall etc. followed the steps here until it actually worked. thanks for still having this up!

Have you tried updating your graphics card driver ? I swear i tried this didn't work but someone told me to update my driver i did and it works now
my discod keeps being stukc on the starting screen. also when i go to the discord site it wont work trying to conect with it. i have tried turning off my virus defender but that doesnt work. discord worked like 4 days ago fine and i even reset my pc. can you help me? i followed all of the steps. the thing is i downloaded a phone emulator and it works fine on that....

@@thesmugz830 hey man, so after having discord deleted for a week i followed the staps again. This time i had discord browser open. It then ask me to logg in, using my phone i scanned a barcode and that made me log in. I do not know if it still works after a reset and i dont want to try
if you want it to work on computer, this only works for me, and i figured it out go to incognito window and u can use discord there.

Adding to this tutorial: If you cannot download the Discord folder in Local, do what he said in 0:47 and try again.
the thing in the command prompt doesn't work, it says "discord.exe not found" and i can't delete the discord folder in the roaming folder because it says that it is open somewhere. please help

When I close every discord task in task manager it then gets stuck on the "checking for updates" screen. The only way to fix it is to restart my entire computer

Good explained Video. But I found a much easier solution for my infinite loop update problem (NOT the Rename-"Update"-File one): Simply as it was, I just needed to delete everything in "...appdata/Roaming/discord/CACHE". May this helps someone.
