- Unboxing the Motorola Moto G62 5G, a budget smartphone with a £199 UK price, 50MP camera, enough gaming grunt for PubG and CODM, and excellent battery life. This hands-on review of the Motorola Moto G62 tests out the camera, performance and other bits, to see if it's one of the best affordable 5G phones of 2022.
For under £200, this mobile has pretty standard specs, but also that next-gen connectivity. It's a 6.5-inch smartphone with a triple lens camera setup, including ultra-wide and macro options. The optics are limited, so don't expect sharp results in less than ideal light. Video tops off at Full HD as well, which is a shame.
Performance is also restricted with a Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset powering the Moto G62 5G, backed by just 4GB RAM. That said it's fine for simple everyday use, including media streaming and quick bursts on games like PubG. Battery life is one of the highlights of this Motorola phone, offering a day or two of use between charges, no worries. Although you only get a 10W charger bundled in the box.

Picked one up for £165 and for that price, incredible value!! Smooth performance, nice screen and decent camera. Can’t complain!
Just bought one for £95 from my mobile company. Only required the plan i was already on... so yes, amazing value for me too.

how is the haptic feedback, are the vibrations decent when you type on the keybord... etc??????
@Nikolaj I just use my phone for the standard TH-cam, Netflix, email etc. I'm not a gamer so didn't need to consider that. The only slight thing is it does take almost 3 hrs to charge from 1% to 100% and it's not got fast charge tho it does have adaptive charging feature. However because the battery is 5000mah so I do only have to charge my phone once a day even with heavy usage on TH-cam etc.

I have G51 and running best in stock Android 12. Fallen down once a day since last 7 months but running well.

I'm extremely happy with my new G52 pOLED phone. The screen is great, has good battery and looks really pretty in white.
@@Niyaz916 After installing GCam I find the camera good enough for me (taking family pics etc. I'm no content creator) and I don't game so the performance is good for browser and media.

is that the moto g stylus 5g 2022 ? does it works with USA carriers ?
I have owned this phone for over 2 weeks and can say this review is spot on. My only problem is the outdoor visibility is poor, though I find this on most phones at this price. I can confirm device does get warm(ish) but have had no issues and same again no more so than on some other devices. The one big issue is the lack of gorilla glass as the device in time may pick up scratch's easier (or it may be better ?). I am one of them tech users who lives to find fault with my device lol and can honestly say my OCD has yet to find any major issues, I purchased at rrp of £200 and I am extremely happy with my Moto g62 5g and I now see it retailing for £179.99. Yes I see many other devices advertised though it seems at the moment at least these devices are extremely difficult to find in stock, or you have to order from a destination with no after sales care. Another small issue is that for a few pounds more you can pick up the Moto g82 which I could not find in stock when I purchased the g62, still suppose you could say that about any phone..spend a bit more etc. Would I recommend this Moto g62 5g ? YES go ahead you will not be disappointed!
Interesting points. I actually prefer the G62 5G to the Moto G82 because I prefer IPS screens as I tend to use the phone in the dark a fair bit, and find the OLED screens give me headaches when on low brightness, presumably due to the rapid flickering of OLED screens. While I've never had screen burn, that in theory can occur on OLED screens too. For me I think the IPS screens look fine to me, and don't have those issues of the OLED. On the flip side, I would prefer a couple more GB of RAM on the Moto G62 5G, and also a faster charger, but aside from that it's solid. For the price, not much to complain about.

You can always get a faster charger head like Qualcomm 3.0 and above

I do like this phone it has a lot in common with my Nokia 3.4 and the 5.4 only that for the Nokia's the front camera was better placed and to me yo can not beat that well done Nokia circular camera chassis but then again this one has 5G unfortunately no Motos in Uganda but yeah I think this is a sweet device too.

I have the Edge 20 lite. The screen is great. Bigger than the g62. Camera is not the best though. But for £200 it would be a good buy. I'm waiting for android to upgrade to 12.

This or a Samsung A13? Need a budget phone, the g62 is £129 at coda phone at moment. Are the both reliable?
In terms of overall specs & battery, the G62 is incredible and fits all of those requirements. But at the end it all comes at you to really decide on what phone you'd like.

There are 2 versions I believe.
In India it's launching with SD 695
Indians want cheap phones so they manufacture cheap quality phones for India. Earlier moto phones which had amazing quality costs around 20k now their midrange is 15k so what can you expect.. Indian cheap tech Reviewers destroyed the brand

I got the Motorola lite 5G and it is crap. The one I had before was better oppo A53. This Motorola is toss it doesn't record audio when doing screen record it freezes and the 5G is garbage and the reception is toss it is really hard to get online when out and about. No I would not have another.
