So great to have the family dynamic in this video! I was fortunate enough to meet you, your mom and Grayson, at little Talladega GP track when you were Younger and your dad was working for the local BMW dealership in Birmingham. Your mom was gracious to allow my son Mason to hang out with you guys and invited him to the RV. We have been watching your career ever since. Keep up the hard work! We miss the Gerloff clan in Birmingham!!
I love these vlogs so much. What a great family you have PLUS a top weekend! This is definitely great signs of things to come for BMW. Also hilarious bit of Garrett rewinding his favorite part of the weekend! 😂😂
One of the things I love about GG- he’s “smelling the flowers” while working hard to achieve his dream! I’m old, and I’ve seen so many promising young racers that didn’t understand that they’re LIVING THE DREAM! They were living a blessed life, but couldn’t see it at the time. Even when the results aren’t what you’d hoped for, you’re still LIVING THE DREAM! We all want the results to come, of course, but don’t forget- you’re livin the dream!!! So cool that La Familia was able to attend a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP weekend! Garrett- you’re living the dream! Do what you can, enjoy it all! No matter what happens!
Really digging these videos Garrett! Cool your family came out to watch. Also, I really hope you get some merch out soon. Would love to show my support and I know others would too! Keep grinding man 💪💪
Neat people Garrett !! thank you for sharing - really dig these vlogs and following you in WSBK !!! Keep up the good vibes and continued progress we're rooting for you !!
Congrats on an excellent weekend. Whereas others complain about the BMW ( name rhymes with Scott ) you are getting better by the day with much less experience on the bike. BMW has won this year in USA and UK, next will be an American winning on a BMW in WSBK! We are all so proud of you
Another top notch video! I really enjoy your editing throughout your videos. This mix between humour, casual / documentary style, team / family interactions, the fact that you also, from time to time, insert people (the Assen’s firefighter) that have and indirect impact on your racing weekend and the non self centered style , all this makes great and entertaining videos, I am sure, a lot of your fans are craving for! To sum it up: Thanks a lot! Keep the good work! And all the best!
Awesome video! Great to see the reaction from the fam too, glad they made it out and had a good time. Good job on the finish, keep up the hard work! I'm rooting for you!
Great job! Seems like it’s starting to come around. These vlogs are great, really enjoy them. You’ve got a great family and a great team. Pulling for you back here in Texas.
I saw your first pro win in 2011 at NJMP aboard that Graves R6. My youngest son was in that race too. He finished mid-pack due to technical issues from a crash the previous week. Both my sons had success racing motorcycles and I think it taught them how to compete in life. Both are professionals today, the oldest in tech and the youngest on Wall Street. Anyway I've been following your racing for years. I am glad you found a better home with BMW. With Toprak coming the development of the bike should speed up. Great video!
Cheers. Can’t wait to get out. Shopping list. Bike, jacket, jeans and helmet. Makes me wonder how you guys can be arsed if you take a tumble. Hospital is no fun so I’m sure it’s even worse in foreign countries being away from home and family etc. Stay safe and keep her upright.
Hey man!!! Was a pleasure to meet you last week in bcn!! Hope your trip to misano was cool. Now you're in the track, rock it!!! You know you have a new fan supporter and friend here! Stay focus, stay fast. Wish u the best man. BMWGERLOFF power!!! ⚙️💥🏁
That's awesome that your family was able to come to the Catalunya race! And neat that they were able to see how your team is sort of like an additional family for you.
13:56 did your mom say “support from Tulsa”? Cool! I’m just about an hours drive from there in south central OK. Watched the race and was screaming for you the whole way. Awsome! And yes we definitely need more riders here in the states. I used to be all about F1 but am much more motogp, WSBK and MotoAmerica now. Races aren’t as long but much more exciting. Two wheels are definitely better than four. We need to get your “extended sister” on a bike STAT!
@@GarrettGerloff31 Yes, a mullet for Les! But, you should stay proud of your glorious mane, fellow Leo!🦁 They're all just jealous! BTW: I can relate to your parent's late night, early morning race watching hours-I'm cheering you on from central TX! Keep kickin' ass, GG! 💪✌️🇺🇸
You said nobody can see you when you make a pass on palce 15! But I always look for you on the graphic on the side. And at every start I watch what you are doing! And belive it or not you do appear on the TV screen! xD Greetings from Switzerland, can`t wait to meet you again on the next race that I will visit #31
Great weekend you had Garrett!! You looked so happy having your family with you!! I’ll always cheer for you even when you are in 15th🖤 (Again don’t cut your hair)
Another great video. If I could make a video recommendation: tell us about the transition from MA to WSBK. Going from EZUPs in the MA paddock to full garages in WSBK is quite the change. How did it feel? Was it intimidating being on track with people like Johnny Rea, Toprak, etc?
Appreciate the comment! There’s a Pipe Dreams Podcast with me coming out this week where I talk all about that stuff and more! Hopefully there’s some good stuff in there for you 👍🏽 I’ll make a post letting everyone know when it comes out, but I’ll also put the video on my TH-cam page under the “Featuring me” playlist 👊🏽
Yeah! He raced motocross back in the day. Pretty sure he did one rage in the Houston SX in the eighties and won the Glenn Helen World Vet Championship in 2005 👊🏽
Another nice vlog. Very positive vibe, as always. But the next day I realized it also came across as a rather lonely lifestyle. On the outside it's all glamour and positive and 'I've got your back' but when push comes to shove the race-team is NOT his family, it is a business arrangement. When Garret can't deliver the expected performance, or a new sponsor brings a rider, or whatever, the fun and games are over and he's out. Same goes for everyone in the crew. Even his teammate is also his opponent. And everybody knows it of course. Pretty impressive to stay so positive for so long while living under that stress. That is ALSO what it takes to be a professional racer (or athlete or musician or ....)
At the end of the day that’s how life is, doesn’t really matter what job you have. There’s never really much security in life, so might as well enjoy life to the fullest! Yeah things won’t go your way all the time but it just makes the good times even that much better you know. I love the team tho, and even if something happened and we had to split ways I’d still love those guys 🫶🏽
Yeah! He raced back in the day but decided to take a different path in life instead of continuing to race. And he’s killing it, managing a big company in North Texas 💪🏽
