I have Nissan leaf 2021. You never get mileage that Nissan displays. Instead of 220 miles per charge you get 180 no matter how you drive it. Won't buy another electric.

It's frustrating when real-world mileage falls short of estimates!

7k to 30k for battery replacement , 30 on the high side ? In Canada there were instances of 60k for two Hyundai Ioniq’s that had minor dents in the belly pan from hitting road debris when the drivers had paid 55k for them earlier in the year new .

It's definitely concerning to see such high costs for battery replacements, especially with minor damages. It's a reminder for all of us to be cautious on the road!

My takeaway is see what part cost are for the vehicle you wish to purchase be it either EV or gas . Another example some headlights and taillights will blow your mind on what they cost , think you’re extra careful ? Can’t discount deer/moose hits where I live .

What is it that is breaking down in these EVs and why is it so expensive to fix? Only because so little needs to be done most of the time. So, dealers and mechanics need to gauge us to make anything. Or is there a real reason? IF the big pricy fix is always the battery, we know that going in. And the battery should be good for 8 - 10 years or 100K miles Not unlike a gas car. I have to ask because my Leaf goes so well knock on wood
