The pilot of this flight really knew how to handle a plane ! It was a smooth flight in spite of thunderstorms ! I notice the captain kept the slats down most of the trip !
Bogotá is a high city level over the sea, so due the weight, low air pressure, they cannon full the plane, for that reason they landed in Cartagena, picking up some people and loaded full fuel to go Amsterdam.
It's indeed a stopover in CTG to continue to Amsterdam, after a quick stop in Bogotá the same crew flies to Cartagena. In Cartagena a new crew boards the aircraft for the flight to Amsterdam :). Indeed the 787 would be quite performance limited to fly all the way from Bogotá to Amsterdam, a flight to LAX would be 2000 miles shorter.

Was this stop layover in CTG to pickup then continue to Amsterdam? I would never expect a 787 doing such a short leg. Quite powerful landing 10/10 !!!

in 2017 KLM introduced the route CTG-AMS then they added the route BOG-CTG-AMS

For those who dont know or never been, landing a 787 here is challenging. Shorter runway and taxi backs. Im surprised they fly these in!
It sure is! A very short runway compared to what we're used to. In this case the FO made a perfect firm landing right in the touchdown zone :)
