Some novelty fuels are very harmful. Expect very good service from a modern air cooled Chinese diesel, if you treat it well. They have superior castings and tolerances.

Its manufactured by Wuxi Huayuan Kaima Engine Co. Ltd. China Hengtian Group subsidiary of Kama Limited they also make engines for LAUNTOP, LIFAN, CUMMINS, SDMO, HONDA, YANMAR, just to name a few.

You can but it will bog down and stall under load the generator version increases the engine speed under load the governors are different
