Check the film called The Darkness... It has hand prints in black over it... Basicly the kid is Autistic... And they find caves like your doing and it's about the Anasazi. And he took stones that were sacred and meant to be left. They got into the house of the family and demon stuff happened. So yeah... Not all that good!

I'm a member of the Hopi Tribe. Our reservation is located in Northeastern Arizona. Our tribal people are descendant of the Hiisatsinom. The name we use for Anasazi is Hiisatsinom. To us, Anasazi is a derogatory name that tour guides of these ancestral dwellings have yet to correct. During the time of the "early days" various clans (groups of people) migrated in all directions, each inhabiting the ruins you see today of the "Anasazi" for a period of time until the lands were no longer fruitful or uninhabitable. Kivas and a lot of the stone houses are still in existence today in our current tribal villages. And the men still do the weaving just as you learned on your visit here. I'm so glad you made it to this place of our Hiisatsinom and enjoyed yourself. I hope you've gained a lot of good spiritual medicine from your visit. Asquali! Thank you for sharing.

The Alcove site looked "familiar" to me.
I have not been there in this lifetime, but am working on building a building like that here, now.
I seemed to have thought there was some discrepancy as to who built or inhabited or was related to or allies of ..Bandelier, Gila cliff dwellings, etc. I know the area is a mix of Navaho, Pueblo, Hopi, Apache of various tribes. And probably Comanche and Ute and maybe Yaqui at some point?
I am now 75 years old and I always wanted to go there. But! As life would have it, that is not going to happen! Soooooo -- you took me there!! Thank you so much darlin! I actually think if I had gone my self, I might not have been brave enough to do that climb anyway!
I am from the Hopi tribe. So I am an “Anasazi”. There are many dwellings you can visit here in Arizona. In our villages we still use Kivas and keep the tradition alive. We are still here. Go to Colorado and visit Mesa Verde. Best one for dwellings. Thank you for being respective to our ancestors at the dwellings. Have a good day!

@@Varangian_af_Scaniae I guess a lot of people define natural as lacking make up and plastic surgery. Braces and dental adjustments usually do not effect what people feel looks 'natural', but you do make a good point!

I grew up in the Southwest. @ 8:21, those are sumac berries. Yes, they are edible. We make a porridge & "lemonade" type drink. High in Vitamin C! My mom also used it for dying her wool to weave rugs & also the branches are stripped to make baskets. Alot of use for ailments. In Navajo, it is called, "chiłchin." ♥️ Also, I would suggest buying some sage & cleanse yourself. Be careful out there.

I grew up in NM and this is one of my favorite spots, in my younger days if you hike another twelve hours from there you can find the Stone Lions.

Thanks for this documentary. As an old geezer with bad knees and bad back, I would not have been able to ascend and descend those 140 ft. ladders on a daily basis, maybe once a week.

Whoa, I didn't even know about this park. Great tour! Mesa Verde National Park in Cortes, CO is very similar, but it is cliff dwellings instead. It also allows for people to walk through the ruins and has an even taller ladder climb on one of the cliff sides.

Yep. We have ruins of ancient sites dating back thousands of years. The Indians were very productive

Well, since the education that most Europeans seem to get about America is that we are all fat, don't use the metric system, and all basically stupid; we generally don't hold it against you when you don't know something about us. It's just the average Europeans nature to assume that the country is completely full of McDonald's full of assault rifle totin people eating quarter pounders and talking about Donald Trump.
I'm never sure how they reconcile the fact that we clean up at the Olympics and have the best military tech when we are all fat and stupid, but I don't dwell on these things very long.

Yes my friend, there are many all accross the country. Search for native pyramids in US, old stone fort in east Tennessee, and pinson mounds in West Tennessee... Tennessee was originally Tehnase, or Holy Land to the indiegenous people. Much to be learned there...

Those brown things you were not familiar with are known as “Cat Tails” (that’s what Midwest kids would call them) we would burn those and the smoke would keep mosquitoes away. They burned slowly and were effective. They are abundant where there’s slow moving water. Edge of lakes, swamps. Etc...

Awesome video. we took a trip there in 2019 before covid. My son was only 2-3, and we climbed into a few of those cliff dwellings ( the wife was scared lol) Anyways, I'm not normally into "energy", but I could of swore I felt like an epic calmness when we were walking around. Maybe is the fact you are walking around where people have lived for a thousand years...has anyone else felt that too? Hobo love your channel
What an awesome place! I'm disabled so I'm not able to travel so I live vicariously through your videos. Just curious do you have to sign some sort of safety waiver when climbing the huge ladders? Years ago I traveled through the Southwest but it was quick and I didn't have a chance to see so much of what it has to offer.

Check it out in the fall.The fall colors are so beautiful in the canyon.Then,if you drive up towards Los Alamos,you will see incredible golden iaspen leaves everywhere and incredible vistas. I lucked out in drove through an early fall snow in the higher elevations once...magical.

Cool. I knew this place existed but I’d only seen a fraction of what’s there. Had no idea how extensive it is. Imagine living there - so beautiful and quiet and in touch with God’s creation.

I thought I was in shape. I walk around 8000 steps a day but that full loop including that climb too the wind completely out of me, to frigging levels of out of breath but I lived and rested now.

There is a whole national park full of Pueblo cliff dwellings in southwest Colorado called Mesa Verde. The cliff dwellings are cool, but the real attraction is the beauty of the place. It's unbelievable. And the driving in the park is awesome too. Twisty roads for miles. Highly recommend.
The campground there also has some of the best showers of any campground I've been to.

Yup it is cool. I worked on a ground crew on a military base and tried to identify poops as I'd walk.
wow! what did you film on and is it hard to carry a camera? when i travel i like to catch everything especially the walks for my dad who is in a wheelchair but i find it difficult to carry a camera and climb and the camera rarely does it justice!! this was amazing im sending it to my dad!!

If you drum on the floor of that room like you're playing bongos, the whole room reverberates and it goes right through your head. Dunno if that's by design or just random, but it's fun. I can tell you for a fact that at least some of that smoke on the ceiling is from weed.
