So good to have met you at the race Paul! I cherish the time and conversations we shared. It was a real honor to be mentioned/featured in your TH-cam video. Thank you for that. Huge congratulations on your 79+ miles in 24 hours! That is an amazing accomplishment for your first ultramarathon. I didn’t run my first ultra until I was 46. That means you’ve got a good 4-year jump on me. So, now I’ve got to step up my game and run more 100s, before you catch and pass me for the new WR! Hope to see you and Brit at another 100-mile race soon. Continue to passionately pursue your Extreme Dream Magnificent Obsessions ever UPward & ONward my friend . . .
Thank you very much! Congrats on your 2nd place as well 😉. It was awesome seeing you in action doing your thing. I learned a TON during this race! I'm ansty to officially get a 100 miler under my belt. I'm still searching, there's a lot to choose from. I still chuckle... I was bragging to you about being able to eat anything while running. Then I ate pop tarts and was a mess for 8ish miles 🤣 I'm addicted, so yes, I'm sure we'll get in more miles together. Keep being you, keep inspiring others like me that you can make the impossible possible 👊💥
Patti and I were so looking forward to this recap! This was a lot of fun. The fact that you knew these icons in this space and had a chance to meet them, I was like, "oh wow." I just thought it was a bunch of locals going out and participating in this, and I imagine the majority of the participants were local, but there are those who just travel for these events, too. Am I right? For instance, Ed, the "Jester" is he a local guy? Thanks for the shoutout! It was our pleasure to come out and see what this is all about! 🥤
I'm glad you liked it! I had fun editing it 😉. It wasn't until about a month prior I did research into some of the runners. When I found out who the Jester was in the running world, I was in disbelief! Then I found out a lot of legends were there. It made the event that much more exciting. And yes, they travel to these events from all over. Ed is not local to my knowledge. This event was the education I needed to know how to run 100 miles. When I finished, I had so much more in the tank! Britt kept telling me to take breaks, I should've listened 🫣. After my Catalina runs, I plan on doing a 100-mile race to officially capture my goal. You guys are awesome. Thanks again 🤗🙏.
Thanks, Charlie! I had fun making this video. What an experience this was. I'm now just using Epidemic Sound. Artlist needed to be reactivated, and I don't feel like spending the money.

way too many subscriptions 😅I feel like epidemic is picking up more quality lately 🤷♂@@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle
@@wollertz I agree. I was happy with their options. And ya, I'm cutting back on subscriptions.
wait. You are going to run more? this should count for a lifetime of running.
🤣. I still gotta get in 100 miles. The training continues 💪
