Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera 4k G2 on an FPV Drone (Setup, Review, and Flight)

- I forgot to include that this camera has a built in gyro, allowing you to stabilize your footage in post. That's a game changer for a professional pilots work flow. No more external data logger needed.
This camera is the best cinema camera you can get at its price of only $995 in my opinion. You can potentially get a Zcam, but that has its own drawbacks for a FPV pilot.
Lmk if there is something else you'd like me test, like low light flight, etc.

Nice cinematic setup for a drone, that’s a great little camera. You are an incredible pilot!
Great flying!
nice one, got the same camera, can't wait to test it soon
Nice flying 👍
Bro this is my gold dope drone my guy 🔥🔥🔥
Jealous of that backyard setup bro!
Good video bro. respect what you do
I appreciate that
👋awesome! THX
Dude I ordered this cam to test bc of your video lol it seeemed money!
Nice video - I subbed. Think you could put the G2 on something smaller like a 7"?
bro has some "tiny" whoop gates on his effin roof rippin' them slow-style with his "tiny" "whoop" lol
Hey! This video popped up like magic because I've been thinking of doing the very same thing! Do you think this rig would be light enough to put on a 7/8inch quad (not x8)?
Ya kno, I thought it could, but after building it up, I don't think it would work well. Maybe you could eventually get it off the ground but it wouldn't be the best.
hey man, thanks for the review.
I Have Blackmagic 4k Camera and I Fly it on 7inch drone. flies well but not powerful (heavy weight). so I have two questions
first: do you recommend the G2 over the pocket 4k in form of image quality?
second: is QAV lifter worth it? (I will build it my self), if you have the option to get a lifter now, would you go with another option?
thanks man, keep it going...
Tbh the image quality is very similar, and I love this lifter. But make sure you have a use case for it, otherwise, go with something ducted for around people like a smaller qav and use the g2, It should be able to lift it.
Whats with the gyro data for post stabilising?
Yo how you like those hrb LiPo? Was gonna try those on Amazon
I like them, they work well
sorry another thing:
what motors you have on QAV Lifter? Size and KV
Hi, what motor do you use?
Nice one bro ! Did you stabilize with gyroflow ?
I did. It will look better in the next video. You have to use a davinci resolve plug-in to make it work, and it was my first time on that software.
@@indigodrone Nice ! Because , can I ask you a advice ? Look my situation is I have a a6700 Sony , like a fx30 , and ibis create jitters ! I’m interessed with this bmpcc g2 for the lock sensor but it’s not as good as aps-c since you try it ! I saw you have a a7iii right ? What about u ? What do u think of this situation ? Thanks anyway I follow you on ig now !
Bende bunu merak ediyordum. Görüntünün titremesinin çözümü var mı
@Prinxfpv Ibis is a no-go for cinelifters. The micro vibrations will get to the sensor and cause jello. I got my Cruise Master to carry my A7iii, but I couldn't tune it enough to remove all the vibrations, and the footage became unusable. The bmmcc was my solution, and it works great. Especially with the internal gyro. I think your gonna have to buy this to solve your problem.
Would it be feasible to BEC power the camera from the drone's lipo?
The camera comes with a lipo power cord adapter
Awesome, but not sure the average person would tell the difference between this footage and a GoPro HERO12 Black (or newer)?
😂😂😂😂😂
How does it look like once you have used gyrostabilisation on it?
It looks great, I'll post a nice highlight video asap
I have the black magic pocket 6K 🔥 for me to carry that I don’t have to get my skills up because I hate to destroy my camera
😂😂😂 I already crash this once lol
Dam I know you was shook bro that’s not a bull shit camera 👀
I won't lie, I wanted to cry. I have the video, and all I did was tap the edge of my roof gate smh.
Known black people good music masters))) now FPV going also with you ))
Did you get a configuration to run gyroflow?
Not yet. I'm gonna make a testing another testing video. I'll work on that for you.
@@indigodrone thanks Brow
@@indigodrone stiill waiting for a gyroflow solution for micro studio g2
@laikknowsprodukcja4226 I got you. I've been a little busy, but I'll start working on that asap!
@@indigodrone i got it done. The Gyroflow Davinci plugin cant handle the gyro data inside Davinci, because.there is an gyro data delay in the camera. You need to use the Gyroflow program. 1. Import braw to gyroflow. 2. Import lens profile 3. (Most imortant) synchronise gyro data 4. Export project using corrected gyro data. 5 (in davinci) import braw file. 6 import corrected gyro data file. That's it. The footage is stable :) we need to do it this walk around method untill blackmagic relases new firmware. They are aware of the gyro data issue.
Whats the flight time of this kit?
About 2-3 minutes
@@indigodrone Wow. Thats what I was expecting. I built a naked Blackmagic cinelifter that gets 18+minutes flight time. Not quite as responsive as your quad but built for long range flights.
@@ValleyFPVwhat was your set up for these flight times?
Are you on IG ?
Indigo_drone
That's a sutdio camera not a cinema camera. Your titel is wrong as well as the description. other than that very helpful video man Thanks for sharing
🤓👆🏽
it uses the same sensor as the bmpcc 4k so then the bmpcc 4k isnt a cinema camera then?
@@gadielsantellano4275studio is the name blackmagic gave to this camera, makes it easier if you wanna look it up, now a bit confusing.
It’s just called studio camera, it shoots BRAW files with gyro data so it is perfect lightweight substitution for BMPCC 4k
@@gadielsantellano4275 Blackmagic have a cinema camera micro that has internal recording if they didn't have one with the same name, sure name it whatever you want. but the name is taken. So this is a clickbait. because it's not the cinema camera micro G2. It's still not out yet
@@gadielsantellano4275just because it has the same sensor doesn’t mean it’s built for the same use or performance platform. Canon and Sony share sensors across their lineup but it’s other things like the board, I/O, body, etc that move them from photo to video or production use.
