The older I get the admiration and respect I have for Japan and its people only grows. That country has endure a lot over the last 100 years and not only do they endure, but pick themselves up and thrive.
It’s amazing to see how the employees and workers at the station are so calm and saying “is everybody okay? Is anybody got injured?” , running to secure the exit. It must be scary for them too.
Im a Filipina. But if I am in Japan on that long time earthquake, I would me calm too. I believe their infrastructures are very well built and mostly earthquake proofs. If i see calm people it will help me calm. If we see panicked people, the more we will be panicked too.
I remember this earth quake I lived in japan for 7 years and I was in the shopping centre and I was 5 at the time i was in the middle of Tokyo so it’s wasn’t too bad but it was one of the big ones I’ve ever experienced
as a veteran of earthquakes myself(sylmar, whittier narrows, northridge, and much more) what was the weather like that day in Tokyo? was it weird? Thank you and were you scared?
How did you feel as in not "what the fuck do you do in that situation?" More like........"was it intense, scary, pretty damn cool?" That kind of question.
Honduras 125 1. that wasn't her question... 2. most tsunami's go WAY higher than any building and sometimes knock buildings down or destory them. 3. the way you put it made you seem like you're just trying to act smart..
I'm in California, and I can tell you that if such a huge or earthquake (or any seizable earthquake for that matter) were to go off, people would panic and begin freaking out. I have such respect for the Japanese people and the calm and self-restrain they show. A true civilization..."civil" being the key word.
I said it before but it bears repeating. If an earthquake this big (9.0) hit LA with an epicenter anywhere within 50 miles of downtown, the city would lose 80% of its structures within 5 minutes, not only from buildings collapsing, but from gas explosions and the following firestorm. Wind swirls in the LA basin and it would carry the fire all around creating fire tornados. I estimate at least 1M deaths and another Million casualties not resultant in immediate death but at least half of those would die within the next week. All of this because Los Angeles architecture and building codes are nowhere near as strong as Japans plus most of the residential buildings in the LA basin were built pre 1960. That means lead and asbestos in the water supply. This doesnt even take into account the 2 reactors at San Onofre or the resultant tsunami if it is a strike-slip earthquake with an epicenter under water. Los Angeles is a deathtrap, and not because of the gangs........
It's called training. Japanese children are trained to remain calm from birth and at school, high school, and at work. America thinks that's too expensive, so they don't do it.
the discipline and calmness of the Japanese people always amazes me....
Um, that discipline you speak of? That's called being scared shitless, to where you can't even speak!!! lol. . In other words, shock. :)

“Yeah man I saw a raven yesterday.....
Oh but look there’s a rainbow right there soo.....”
😂😂😂😂😂
LMAO "Mom did you say the S word?" Dude that was hilarious!!!
In middle of all this, the boy picks up on that. Kids 😒😒😒
His mom looks his age 😐
The older I get the admiration and respect I have for Japan and its people only grows. That country has endure a lot over the last 100 years and not only do they endure, but pick themselves up and thrive.
The way the mom was comforting the woman crying on the floor 🥺
It’s amazing to see how the employees and workers at the station are so calm and saying “is everybody okay? Is anybody got injured?” , running to secure the exit.
It must be scary for them too.
Escalator is probably one of the worst places you could be during an earthquake
Yeah, I don't think they planned it, bro.
Imagine elevator
Glad you guys were okay. Thank you for staying calm. Love from Japan.
I love it that she found the highlight of that whole moment. Yes see there's a rainbow the rainbow will keep us safe. Got to love his sense of humor.

Damn if that was America everyone would’ve been screaming, crying or cussing. Great composure!
Im a Filipina. But if I am in Japan on that long time earthquake, I would me calm too. I believe their infrastructures are very well built and mostly earthquake proofs. If i see calm people it will help me calm. If we see panicked people, the more we will be panicked too.
Para ser filipina estás curiosa.. 👌🇲🇽
It's hard for me to belief it's been 5 years....
amazing video man, i know how it feels i from 8va region here in chile also i live an earthquake close to that intensity... is a terrible experience.

Japanese are really trust their building. People are so calm.
I remember this earth quake I lived in japan for 7 years and I was in the shopping centre and I was 5 at the time i was in the middle of Tokyo so it’s wasn’t too bad but it was one of the big ones I’ve ever experienced
The intense noise alone is enough to freak me out!
I would have been freaking out laying in my stomach on the ground lol
Kayla W id be like im out bye
"that rainbows keeping me safe"
LOOOOL
as a veteran of earthquakes myself(sylmar, whittier narrows, northridge, and much more) what was the weather like that day in Tokyo? was it weird? Thank you and were you scared?
Dude that looked like it was intense. How did you feel after going through that and having to deal with a tsunami warning after that?
Get off the first floor and go up the highest floor duh
How did you feel as in not "what the fuck do you do in that situation?"
More like........"was it intense, scary, pretty damn cool?" That kind of question.
Honduras 125 1. that wasn't her question...
2. most tsunami's go WAY higher than any building and sometimes knock buildings down or destory them.
3. the way you put it made you seem like you're just trying to act smart..
Many compliments to the engineer that made the project of this rail station!!
