I pulled this up meaning to look it up for nostalgia, but I started crying out of nowhere listening to it; Texas is dealing with the fallout of energy/water failure after the deep freeze, and while I was super fortunate to only have lost water/heat for a few days, it was some of the most stressful days of my life. It's far better than most of mainstream "pop" music, not only does this song hold such a deep meaning, but also the music video and the song match each other perfectly. So yes I'm finally gonna post what I should have said already far earlier. Ok *my* interpretation/analysis of the song and video: At the beginning Kerli mentions having comen back from a traveling a million miles. I'm quite certain she means something like coming back into the world (remember "It's the hardest part when you feel like you're fading" in Love is dead?). The complex surface that's laid out right in fron of her eyes symbolizes a state of total understanding of everything. She's hanging in that special crystal landscape like an unborn butterfly, with the realization she just had and the help of two other persons ("I'm not alone, searching for the starlight in the darkest skies") leading to her being reborn. We are then presented by a princess Kerli flying over the clouds. She mentions endless love for someone and the state of completely being unchained of what was pulling her down for so long. The wise Kerli (the one with the really awesome dress!) comes into a room with a gift in her hands and looks towards to another Kerli who's dressed quite spacy. The wise Kerli has a blue tear in her face, whether it's because of seeing something really wonderful (the dance of the other Kerli) or because of being sad about her dancing in a less classy way isn't really clear I think. Though, they walk towards each other and the wise Kerli first wipes out her tear and then gives her gift to the other Kerli. We are then presented by some really visual images of something like an illumination. Maybe this last part, starting in the scene when the wise Kerli appears with her gift, is a prologue to the beginning of the video and the song. The total understanding of everything, the gift she was given. Ok, maybe my interpretation isn't the best (because I actually don't manage to express myself correctly the way I want xD), but I hope it will give some of you some idea that this song has quite some deeper meaning than what it may just look at first. Also I don't think it's right to compare this to other artists like idk Katy Perry. (I don't hate her!). But the style of Kerli and of Katy Perry are so completely different, it's almost like comparing pineapples with iPods. So please stop saying this video is boring if you think so, well, keep it for yourself. And also I don't think the video is directed badly, I actually think it's done quite well and as said it really matches the song and actually even extends the meaning in my opinion. #music #interpretation #kerli

I really love how soft she looks when she's in the clouds with the robe and that cap thing over her head. it's just really visually pleasing. but I also love her with the platforms and rainbow pigtails. the star-crossed geisha look is fantastic as well. I pulled this up meaning to look it up for nostalgia, but I started crying out of nowhere listening to it; Texas is dealing with the fallout of energy/water failure after the deep freeze, and while I was super fortunate to only have lost water/heat for a few days, it was some of the most stressful days of my life. This song brought me back to middle/high school and just to a simpler time and I felt a lot better than I had this whole week. Thanks Kerli ❤️

Louise Forrest There is nothing wrong with her general fan base - if there even is one. After drastically changing her sound, I'm guessing a lot of people were sort of confused, and it's not that they didn't necessarily like her style anymore, it's just that her old music was so particular that something new wasn't what they expected/wanted. Regardless, Tea Party was released like 2 years before this song, and it was from the Alice In Wonderland soundtrack, so she had a Disney endorsement.

It's far better than most of mainstream "pop" music, not only does this song hold such a deep meaning, but also the music video and the song match each other perfectly. So yes I'm finally gonna post what I should have said already far earlier.
Ok *my* interpretation/analysis of the song and video:
At the beginning Kerli mentions having comen back from a traveling a million miles. I'm quite certain she means something like coming back into the world (remember "It's the hardest part when you feel like you're fading" in Love is dead?). The complex surface that's laid out right in fron of her eyes symbolizes a state of total understanding of everything. She's hanging in that special crystal landscape like an unborn butterfly, with the realization she just had and the help of two other persons ("I'm not alone, searching for the starlight in the darkest skies") leading to her being reborn.
We are then presented by a princess Kerli flying over the clouds. She mentions endless love for someone and the state of completely being unchained of what was pulling her down for so long.
The wise Kerli (the one with the really awesome dress!) comes into a room with a gift in her hands and looks towards to another Kerli who's dressed quite spacy. The wise Kerli has a blue tear in her face, whether it's because of seeing something really wonderful (the dance of the other Kerli) or because of being sad about her dancing in a less classy way isn't really clear I think. Though, they walk towards each other and the wise Kerli first wipes out her tear and then gives her gift to the other Kerli. We are then presented by some really visual images of something like an illumination.
Maybe this last part, starting in the scene when the wise Kerli appears with her gift, is a prologue to the beginning of the video and the song. The total understanding of everything, the gift she was given.
Ok, maybe my interpretation isn't the best (because I actually don't manage to express myself correctly the way I want xD), but I hope it will give some of you some idea that this song has quite some deeper meaning than what it may just look at first. Also I don't think it's right to compare this to other artists like idk Katy Perry. (I don't hate her!). But the style of Kerli and of Katy Perry are so completely different, it's almost like comparing pineapples with iPods.
So please stop saying this video is boring if you think so, well, keep it for yourself. And also I don't think the video is directed badly, I actually think it's done quite well and as said it really matches the song and actually even extends the meaning in my opinion.

I really love how soft she looks when she's in the clouds with the robe and that cap thing over her head. it's just really visually pleasing. but I also love her with the platforms and rainbow pigtails. the star-crossed geisha look is fantastic as well. I'll shut up, but I also have to point out how I love how she was a cocoon in the beginning and grew her wings by the end of the video. one of my favorite songs of hers and I'll never get over it.
