Hi , mine doesn’t have the music or sound , do you know how to fix it ?
Lemax items are very hard to repair because they "design extra bits and pieces" which have no function - just put in to make them harder to repair.
Really interesting and useful tutorial. I repaired my Village Skating Pond with you instruction.
I've a question even if I know Is off topic. Do you know how to open the Garden Ballroom code 75189 so i can change the motor?
I can't see any screw and I don't want to break It

Sorry, I don't have that item so I don't know ALL the facts. Usually, the screws are under the rubber pads, so try there first. I had heard that in some items they actually glued the base to the top to make it even more difficult to repair!!

I currently have taken mine apart as I can’t have both sound and movement on together. Only one or the other works. Any ideas please? X
DO you know where I can get gears like this to create my own design or who manufactures mechanisms such as this one?
Your best bet is to buy an old one second hand and use the components within. But if you are prepared to spend the time and money, there are many options, such as stepper motors, which already come geared down to a reasonable speed of rotation. My youtube channel has many such projects. Cheers.

hi i would like to ask if you have an instructional video on how to dissassemble lemax flying reindeeer. Mine doesnt spin anymore and would like to try to fix it.
Either the connection to the motor is loose or the adaptor is burnt out!! Try a different adaptor first, then if it still doesn't work, then it means the motor wire is disconnected or the motor is burnt out!!
I have music but there is no movement? Can anyone help or recommend how to fix?
Have same issue, testing to see if it's the motor. If you're still wondering reply in a week or two and I might have replaced that part
It is a broken belt - no spares ever sold by Lemax - they want you to buy a new one, not fix old broken rides!!
I tried posting the part that I found and fixed, but my comment keeps being deleted. Look at the motor and you'll see a set of numbers, type that up on a search engine and you'll find a set for two for like ten dollars.
@@tomtcom Yep, Lemax has paid trolls who go through and delete anything useful!!!
Does anyone know where I could find a new motor? Shows voltage to the motor but it does not run :(
Paul, you are out of Luck! Lemax has NEVER made spares available for ANY of its inner workings because they purposely design them to fail - planned obsolescence paradigm. That is why every working item uses a an O-ring final drive - the rubber stretches or breaks and that's it - your investment down the toilet because of a 2 cent part!!!
In case you're still wondering I found some on Amazon. Currently trying to fix three lemax which all have dead motors. If you're still interested I'll update you when the parts come in and if it works.

@@tomtcom Lemax has trolls scanning Lemax youtube pages specifically for any USEFUL INFORMATION which is then deleted - they really don't want people repairing broken Lemax items.
@@dezzodarling wow...that's shady of them. Literally the belts and the motors that are problematic go for a couple dollars each. Like two adequate motors are about ten and I saw a set of gears and belts being sold for about eight.
Unfortunately, don't function the music and the moviment. Could you help me to find the problem? Thanks
If there is no music and movement, it probably means that the wiring has become loose, or your adaptor is burnt-out - try a different adaptor first before asking someone to re-solder the wires!!
Where can you get more small belts ?
You can't ! Lemax have never sold spares because they want you to keep buying new items to replace all the ones that break-down!!

@@tomtcom Yes, Lemax trolls ALL the pages on Lemax and delete any and all pages with USEFUL information!! I used to be a Lemax retailer and even I got cancelled because I used to help people fix their technical issues. You do know that Lemax is owned by 2 Chinese brothers right??

thank you mr Derrick Windsor the only question I have is about the relation between magnets and characters, do the characters interchange the moving magnet tracks ? do they pass from a magnet to another ? you know I would try to build it on my own.. Thanks a Lot for the video
Each figure has its own magnet. All the magnets have their polarities aligned the same way, so the figurines are interchangeable. You can easily make your own skaters by putting your own magnets. In fact, I have even used bicycle riders and racing cars - here is some more videos:

Ha po 'di musica e suoni di bambini che giocano, ma la qualità del suono è male e la sequenza del suono è meno di 15 secondi e poi si ripete. C'è controllo del volume, quindi suono può essere spento.

The on and off switch no longer works, does anyone know how to repair this.
Just by-pass the switch - connect the wire from the "switch in" to the "switch out"!! You will probably loose the "music"!!!

Fabio The problem is the belt - it is very weak and stretches easily so after a few months, or even in one season, the skaters will stop moving even though you can still hear the motor running!!

No luck! Lemax does not offer spare skaters as a spares set!! The only option is to buy someone's secondhand skating rink.
I have the Lawley village skating rink. The skaters no longer work. Everything else works except the skaters. When you open it up, it has massive wiring going all over. Can not see anything but wires. Anyone know how to fix this one?
They do this on purpose, so that most common folk not technically minded get confused and end up throwing these items into the bin and buying a new replacement! Look for a broken rubber O-ring - 99% of the time, that is the culprit!! Good Luck!!!
@@dezzodarling Our O ring is good. The motor burned out. Thank you for the help. We will be getting O ring to replace this one just in case it needs it.
@@deborahturtura1393 Very unusual for the motor to burn out!! There is hardly any "load" placed on it, precisely why the engineer would have designed it to use an O-ring - so that it would "slip" rather than "burn out"!!
