Here's my worse period story: When I was 14, I was hanging out with some friends at one of their boyfriends house and had a REALLY heavy period. I was sat on the carpet, got up and there on the floor was a big red blob. I'd leaked through, and the fact it was a boy's carpet.. I knew I'd never live it down. But then I had a genius idea. My friends had pizza from dominos and with it, a sachet of ketchup so I secretly "split" the ketchup on the floor and covered up my leak 🤣 probably my most genius moment

Hey! I was on holiday when my first period started. We went to this restaurant for my mum's birthday. (About 10 people were there) Right as our food came I decided to go to the toilet as I knew something wasn't right. I went to the toilet as normal but then noticed blood EVERYWHERE. I panicked but knew I couldn't cry because everyone would know somethings wrong. I cleaned myself up and then had to walk back into the room acting like nothing ever happened. I lost my appetite and kept thinking about it all night. Thank you so much for making this video. It is so useful to watch! ❤

The first embarrassing moment that comes to mind is when I was living in an apartment and someone rang the doorbell.. I went running down 3 flights of stairs to open the door and missed the last 3 steps and went sliding on my belly towards the door and they were able to see me through a small window next to the door 😅

Hi Darren, Georgie, Mia, Sienna, Karma and Koa!! I'm a 13 year old girl who has now had their period for around 1½ years! I used to be really awkward when it came to talking about it and hated it sooo much! I think this video is amazing for so many reasons and can help so many people, including educating young girls on how periods work and introducting them to period care, helping girls like me realise that there are ways to make periods a fun thing (because lets he honest putting together an aesthetic kit with body spray and hair ties too is fun!!) and that it really is and normal, and just for women and girls alike to celebrate period care together. As I said earlier I've not had my period for long so, luckily, I haven't had any embarrasing period moments but I can tell an embarrassing story in general! I like to call this story " The gym mixup". I was at the gym with my mum and my mum said to wait for her outside the showers - so I did. Then my mum came out the shower and I said to her "Oh hey mum" and started chatting away to her... however when this woman turned around it was NOT my mum. It was a random woman who who was standing with no clothes on right in front if me!!!! I'd love to share an embarrassing period story with you especially going through high school it's really difficult but it's NORMAL, no one should make you feel uncomfortable about periods ❤ Anyway story time, I'm going to try and keep this short. One time my school decided to have a camp this was last year and my period tracker had said I was due the week after so I was like sweet I'm alg, anyway I was wearing WHITE and I felt a leak and assumed it was probably just hormones and continued chatting with my friend. This bus trip was about 3 hours so you can only imagine how I felt when I stood up.. anyway long story short I stood up and bleeded in a bus with all people in my grade and I didn't have a jumper either 10/10 most embrassing school day of my life 😂😭 Anyway thank you so much for reading, the kits look so amazing and I've never made or had one before but watching your video made me realise how bad I needed one, haha. You guys are so inspiring honestly, I’m so glad such icons moved to the UK so I have a chance at meeting you! I have a really embarrassing story and I’m gonna share it, I was at school and was on my period, my pad had gone lopsided for some reason and was no longer sticky, at the time I had no spares in my bag and was too afraid to ask my PE teachers for one so i used tissue as a tampon and carried on playing netball, let’s just say, it didn’t end well. The tissue ended up falling out and I had to ask my PE teacher to rush to the bathroom. Anyway even if this kit isn’t up anymore, I would have loved to win it because 1 it’s got some really good stuff that I can’t afford to buy myself because I have to buy myself stuff like that. Also I have no emergency kit for school and this would have been really good in my situation!! I hope you notice this LY GUYS SMMMM ❤

I love how you are all so open to talk about growing up and normalizing periods as many young girls get embarrassed about it, i know most of my friends do and we r 14 and have had them for over a year or two. My Awkward moment was when I was trying to scare my mom in a public bathroom and instead scared an oldish lady, i was super embarrassed and said sorry right away but later seeing her round the other shops we went too! I got my period when I was 12 and the pain lasted for over two days and I am 20 now and have a way more heavy period but never really thought to make a period kit, this was actually inspiring❤️

I recently had an awkward situation. I'm 20 and over the summer I took part in a course to become a lifeguard. It took place at a lake and there was this cute boy. Now, the water was really cold. What happened was literally like in a movie (when you are interacting with someone cute and you do something embarrassing/disgusting). We were swimming next to each other to get back to the pier/platform and he asked me if I was cold and when I was replying I don't know how it happened but I blew out of my nose and some water and snot came out lol I was mortified and hoped he didn't see it. It was so bad. I would love to win the kit bag, because when I'm at uni and am studying a lot (I'm in med school), I often forget when my period is due so often have to ask people for pads etc. I love you guys 💕

My Awkward Period Story: i went with my family to Thorpe park and we went on the fastest ride stealth. We were climbing into the seats and i saw some blood on the seat i was so embarrassed as there was a stranger sitting next to me. She was very kind and asked if i was alright but i froze in embarrassment we then went on the ride and i had the worst tummy pain ever when we got of there was a huge pile of blood and we didnt have our bags with us so now wipes tissues! Anyway thats my story. Love u guys x

this video has been so helpful and makes me feel way more reassured about puberty and periods! it is nice to hear it be talked about as I don't hear much about it and I always feel nervous about talking about it, but I really enjoyed this video 😁my embarrassing story was I was once at school sat on the floor which was creamy beige having a group discussion, usually I get really bad cramps before my period starts warning me about it, but just this time I didn't get any cramps and I stood up and there was smears of blood on the floor and everyone saw and the teacher rushed me away to find some pads!!!!I think being young made me have a big shock when I saw all the blood on the floor but now I realise how I shouldn't have been embarrassed as it is completely normal but I just never heard anyone talk about it! I LOVED this video!! It made me feel reassured about growing up and knowing that it’s not just me that turns a bit psychotic when I’m about to have my period 😂. One embarrassing moment I have had is when I was sat in school and felt a weird sensation, so I asked to go to the toilet but my teacher told me that it was almost the end of the day so I waited . When I went to stand up I saw a bit of blood on my chair (which was luckily red) so I quickly whipped out my tissues and then realised it had probably gone onto my skirt, I had to wrap my blazer round my waist and go on the bus praying no more blood would come out and ran home 😂 I would love to win the period kit as I’m still in school and have many emergencies that I wish I could fix !!

This video was really helpful for me and other girls who might be finding the different struggles that come with growing up and periods difficult. I remember how embarrassed I was to ask for help or advice, so had to resort to the free products I could get in the school bathrooms initially. I definitely found the hormonal changes overwhelming, as it was so hard to make myself feel better and less stressed. All the products you found look amazing and really helpful; it honestly looks like the ultimate comfort and care package, which is something I know we would all love to have. In terms of an embarrassing story, I think I would have to say it was the time when I accidentally knocked a glass in a cafe, and everyone suddenly stared at me in silence for ages! I know it is not related to puberty or periods, but it was certainly one of the most embarrassing moments I have ever had, even though it was small and short (it seemed like it went on for ages in my head). Luckily, the staff were really nice about it and told me not to worry. I still feel bad to this day! Thank you again for a really helpful and informative video. ❤

One of my not so embarrassing stories that haunts me to this day is when in 9th grade (I was 15) me and my classmates organized our final prom before leaving for high school. Each class had to give speech before an audience of teachers and other classmates, but none of my friends wanted to do it, so I volunteered. At home I sat down and wrote this really good speech by hand (which later came out to be a really big mistake due to my very personalised handwriting). The day of the prom I got my period, but before that I never have had been more emotional or in pain, but that period was more painful than usual. I didn't think much of it and just took some painkillers. Around 6pm I went and stood before the audience and I was given a microphone. I started to read the speech and around the third sentence I couldn't contain my emotions and I just started sobbing so much I couldn't breathe and see through the tears. That went on for a few minutes before my friend decided to come over and help me. He took the paper and wanted to read the rest of the speech, but he could NOT read my handwriting, so he just stood there beside trying to decipher at least the last paragraph so we could end and leave, all while o was still standing there with the microphone in front of me gasping for air. In the end he had to make up a few sentences to thank the teachers on the spot and took my hand and we left the room so I could calm down. I don't know what happened, it was probably because after 9 years together we were leaving the school where I have made so many nice memories, that it all just fell on me and due to the period, I just couldn't contain so many emotions and I just broke down in front of everyone. The worst part is that our computer science teacher had decided to make a video/short film of the prom for each of us to have, so everyone from my grade has a video of me crying in it like a toddler gasping for air while trying to give a speech. It was so humiliating, but I'm still thankful for trying to talk in front of that many people and stepping out of my comfort zone, even though it didn't all work out that well in the end haha

My daughter hasn’t started her period yet and she’s the same age as sienna and she’s just started secondary and she said that she’s worried about it staring at school and she watched this video and wanted my to enter so here’s her embarrassing story. She was once at a restaurant and there was a bit of ketchup on her chair and she sat on it and when she stood up to go to the toilet it was all over her white skirt and she ran to the toilet with it on her skirt! Thank for this video it was very helpful for my daughter to understand it. Good luck everyone! Xx
One thing I would really recommend is putting a nail file in because if you break or rip your nail it can be really snaggy and annoying! I would definitely recommend this!

Hey Fizzfam! Such an inspirational video to help young girls feel reassured and educated about growing up. I'm a bit older than Mia so have been dealing with periods for years already now but still found some helpful ideas from your video! I have been watching for years and remember when I used to watch Mia's videos about puberty and periods I felt I had someone to relate to (as we are only about 6 months apart in age). I will definitely be trying out products by Flo! It is so important to use kind and organic products! I would also love to try the essential oil rollers which is an amazing way to use natural ingredients to take care of our bodies 🥰 My embarrassing period story is a couple years ago I was wearing a WHITE skirt at school. During our lunch break I had leaked through 😅 It is all part of growing up! It's amazing you guys are giving away a period kit which can benefit us all, no matter what age you are. Love seeing you continue to normalize periods as many have started to do and emergency kits... i make and use cloth pads and only if in case of emergency i get quick to use. Making cloth ones also avoids all the chemicals and just had to get used to cleaning them- always have to get used to cleaning if using reusable or cloth products for period.

My embarrassing story is….
At school, there is this really busy corridor where it gets SUPER crowded and everyone pushes and shoves their way to get through. I went into it and these other kids pushed me forwards and i stumbled over and lost my balance and FELL onto this much older boy who was about 17 and my elbow accidentally landed ‘down there’ and he looked at me so strange and his friends started laughing out loud and I literally got up so fast and immediately ran away!!!

Love this video making periods and puberty more normal. To be honest I can be nervous and awkward when talking about it but watching Mia growing up and family fizz has really helped ! My awkward story is that I started my period on an airplane! Luckily we were just landing so I was able to run to the toilet as soon as we landed but super awkward and scary! My Awkward Story: I was performing in a ballet show and the dress rehearsal had been cancelled. I got on stage and realised my costume was too small. It was falling down at the front in front of the whole audience, while my ballet teacher was shouting at me from the side of the stage. Afterwards I had another performance almost immediately and I had to change in a corridor in front of a bunch of people I didn’t know. That was pretty awkward 😅. it is so lovely to see the dedication you put into educating your children. my embarrassing story was that once in dance class i was wearing a light top so during the warm up i sweat so much that under my arms it was completely dark so i spent the lesson trying not to move my arms😅xx

Wooow i loved this one specially because is based on reality and is gonna be beneficial for all girls out there to be prepared for their periods and avoid getting stress, crying, embarrassing. I remembered exactly when i got back from school when i was 13 i got blood in my trouser i crieddd alot and hated pads and my self getting nervous for my studies because of overwhelming about the period
So many girls would benefit from seeing this, its a natural thing to occur and it cant be stopped! One thing i always make sure i have for having friends over who are on them is a heat pack & paracetamol/ibuprofen so they dont have to worry. I remember starting my period and no one knowing, so i didnt wear any protection the first time and i used to sercretly wash my pants in the sink and dry them in my room so no one knew as it was a taboo subject when i grew up. This would have been a massive help when i started my period.
My embarrasing story goes back a few years, i was out with my sister and grandad at a local park fishing and there was a nursery group, i leant too far out to catch some fish and fell head first into the water infront of all the little kids and had to go home soaked!

Those packs look great! I’d also add peppermint/chamomile tea bags. I have endometriosis and herbal teas are what I drink whenever I have period cramps etc. I swear by them, herbal teas help calm my body so much.
My bad experience while being on my period:
I was at my first boyfriends house and I was sitting on his lap while watching a movie, when I stood up to get some snacks there was blood everywhere including on him 😬😬 but luckily he was very sweet about it 🥰. I would really love to win the period kit and I love your video’s ❤️❤️❤️

This is amazing. When i was going through puberty (20 years ago now) periods as a topic were seen as very secretive and almost shameful. A much healthier approach!
aahhhh I’ve not got anything embarrassing to share to do with my period luckily 😂 but one thing is one time we’ll I went for a number 2 and i flushed but it didn’t go down and um my siblings were fighting because they thought it was eachother and I was too scared to own up 😂😅but I would love to win a kit this is my fourth month on my period I’m 13 and yk I would be really happy

Hey! Thank you so much for making this video and sharing your awkward stories aswell. You sharing you’re stories really have given the courage to share this as I was really embarrassed when it happened but…I was at gymnastics and I was about to go on bars and then I felt a weird sensation and saw blood running down my leg. There were loads of people around and I didn’t know what to do so I waited till the end of my class and ran out as fast as I could horrified. When I got in the car I broke down in tears and told my mum. I’ve only had my period for a afew months so this is the first of many to come so this kit would really be helpful. I’m 14 in afew days and would love to win this (I probably won’t win though) thank you for sharing this and I love watching your videos, they make my day. An embarrassing period story is I waited 8 hours in A&E with my fiancé as I thought I had a tampon stuck in there turns out there was nothing there I was just heavy on my period and couldn’t remember taking it out 🤣❤️

Hey fizz fam thank you so much for your tips about periods. I grew up without a mom😢. So i had to struggle on my own. Expecially when i was 12 i yust started my period and i was in school and everybody started laughing because there was blood everywhere on my dress. I had to go home and tell my dad i didn't have eny pads or sort of things compared to that, so my father didn't really know what to do.but ever since i watch your video's i managed to get out my my comfort zone.
