  • In this video I go over some of the ways to use your side scan . The more you use your side scan the better you will get at recognizing structure and fish .
    I use my side scan all the time to find brush .

    Sam. Been fishing all of my life even before electronics were introduced. To give my age away, the first depth finder I ever used was an old Ray Jeff flasher. I initially was very intimidated with all of the options available now a days- all of the buttons, settings etc. Thanks for breaking it down for an old timer like me. Renews my optimism. Thanks. Also, found the app you were using. Gonna try it out. Thx.

    I enjoyed your video 9/6/23 but I do wish a couple of brush piles or trees you marked, you had turned around and showed them in MEGA DI or some form of DI so we could see if was holding fish or just what it looked like!
    But I enjoyed you video!
    Thanks 😅

    Appreciate all the good fishing points!!! Just bought a Garmin 73sv and really don’t know how to use it! Bought it for my new Sportspal canoe and haven’t use either one yet,so excited to get good information from you to do better out there on the water. Always been a night catfishermen and just started bass fishing three years ago,and I’m hooked! Love it! PB is 6 pounds and can’t wait to beat that! Keep up the awesome content! Thank you

    Excellent video Sam. I was out the day and was messing with my settings. 855kh. What I noticed was the definition was sooo much clearer and could actually pick out individual fish all on a treetop about 8-12feet deep. I marked it to fish it and when I went back over I couldn’t find it. I believe my cone was so narrow that if wasn’t directly over it I would miss it. Thanks for the explanation of the side scan 👍🏼

    I noticed you were moving your side scan left and right on the screen with your finger is this a setting?? My 93 sv won’t do this out of the box. Good informative video !! Subscribed !!

      You should be able to move it if its touch screen, sometimes if my fingers are cold the screen will not respond.normally it responds to a very light touch.

    Do you have problems with side scan not picking up brush piles but livescope does?

    • @wildlifeadventures-13
      @wildlifeadventures-13  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes,sometimes I do. If the brush is older with thin limbs its hard to see sometimes. If it looks different on the screen I will mark it and check it with my Live-scope.

    Great Video Mr. Sam!! Also, I didn’t know that I could move the side scan screen that way!! That’s awesome!! Also, I don’t know if anyone has ever told you this or not, but you have a clean channel and what I mean by that is….no cussing 🤬 or mean gestures and that my friend is very nice 👍🏻 compared to some….not that we are supposed to be comparing folks…..One more thing….I don’t know if anyone has asked you on this platform yet or not but I would absolutely love to come and fish with you for a weekend either in the fall or spring and learn firsthand how you operate with livescope and your Garmin 93sv? I have the same setup except for I only have one Garmin 93sv….anyway, see what you think about that and I live in Hopkinsville Ky and I have been to Texas crappie fishing and I have a ACC Crappie Stix and will travel Brother!! Have a great God blessed day Mr. Sam and again thank you for taking time out of your busy week to help us!!

    I think using a split screen is more effective. I want to see the sidescan running at 80’, a sonar down image, and my map with waypoints. Just sidescan alone isn’t enough intel for me when looking for new spots. Also, never hurts to have a buddy watching for boats and debris while you are studying the screen! Thanks for the videos.

    I have never been able to read my helix 7. I pass by boat docks and can't see the posts in the water. None of my actual readings look like the demo. I don't know if the unit is even working like it should. I wish there was a school where you could go to on the water to learn how to use this stuff.
