Thanks for tuning in - always appreciated - had to take great care with my steps - although helped towards my 10,000 a day 🙂and the view was amazing from the top!
Very interesting to see what the archaeology of the tower and stairs was at Egmere. Pity that there is no conservation effort to consolidate the ruins. I cycled there in 2002 from Walsingham.
Thanks for tuning in - it is a wonderful site and a beautiful setting for a church - stands very isolated now - amazing to think it has survived so long 🙂
Fantastic video i very much enjoyed
Thanks very much for commenting - amazing church for such a tiny village 🙂
What a shame it is being left to degrade. Thanks for sharing the backstory.
Thanks again for tuning in - it is sad - such an amazing structure - built to last back in the day 🙂
Great video, though watching that climb up and down the stairs made my legs turn to jelly!
Haha cheers David it was rather precarious at the top 😅
That's was great ! You were really brave to climb that tower, the steps looked lethal! I need to see it for myself, it looks such a beautiful ruin 😍

So a cool place!! would love to explore with you one day!!
Cheers 🙂 - there are over 100 church ruins in Norfolk - some more substantial than others - this is one of the more remote and lesser known ones!
I loved the never-ending stairs 😮
Thank-you it was quite a climb 🙂
This looks great, do you have a rough location?
Hi Stephen - it lies between Fakenham and Wells not far from Walsingham
Great video as always BUT coming down that staircase is one of my worst nightmares!
Hi Sylvia - trainers with a reasonably good grip were required 🤣
Where is this?
