Good job. He has the perfect shaped head to be bald. I rock a baldy with a mustache too. Very easy to maintain. I'm glad you mentioned that you usually use 2 razors on a headshave because I had a blade go dull on me yesterday and I thought I should've gotten a little bit more out of it. But then I realized that I had previously shaved my face and head with that same blade. Once I changed the blade for a new one the shave was back smooth with no passing over hair. I think I might just start using a new blade after each shave.
It depends on the blade you are using! Some blades increase their sharpness as you use them. As their coating decreases, they become sharper. I am a DE safety shaver, and imagine the same applies to single-edge razors.
Yes so if the hair was longer I would have used trimmers first or if his hair is thicker used trimmers. But because it wasn't too long and his hair is really fine blade has no problem going through it.

I use the tomb 45 straight razor with the dorco prime blades. A lot of it is the process of hot towel and the lather.

Use the trimmers first to take off the hair. Then towels and lather. Just the way I've done it for years now. But hey everyone is different.
