This is a simple video but is a feature that is very useful. How do we copy or move files on a mac. And what is the difference between copying and moving a file? In this video, we show you how to both move and copy files while using a keyboard command to help the process! Hope that this helps some of you out there. Please remember that we put up training videos on both Tuesday and Thursday nights!
We look forward to reading your questions and comments, and if you have any ideas for future mac training videos, please make sure to leave them in the comment section below.

OH MY GOODNESS YOU ARE BRILLIANT X. I have tried and tried on TH-cam AND Apple and no one knew how to move and not copy to a usb. One agent in the Apple chat wanted me to take my Mac back in Safe Mode then do some things to see if I could get it to work. I just found you and now it works. OMG Apple should hire you, you are so easy to follow and you understand.
Thank you so so much, you are brilliant 🙂🙂🙂XXXXXXXX

Hi Greg, Thanks for explaining so patiently. I have run into a scenario where I dont wanna the actual file size upon moving them to SSD but somehow the files size is getting significantly reduced. Is there a way to avoid that? TIA

There is no good reason. There are scores of missing functions in Finder.
