OH MY GOODNESS YOU ARE BRILLIANT X. I have tried and tried on TH-cam AND Apple and no one knew how to move and not copy to a usb. One agent in the Apple chat wanted me to take my Mac back in Safe Mode then do some things to see if I could get it to work. I just found you and now it works. OMG Apple should hire you, you are so easy to follow and you understand.
Thank you so so much, you are brilliant 🙂🙂🙂XXXXXXXX

perfect Greg - just what I needed and explained clearly. Next, I want to know how to move my entire Doc folder to external HD and leave an alias on my main drive!?
excellent
Thanks!
Hi Greg, Thanks for explaining so patiently. I have run into a scenario where I dont wanna the actual file size upon moving them to SSD but somehow the files size is getting significantly reduced. Is there a way to avoid that? TIA
Great video, but I cannot seem to find out how i can paste content from an external drive into my mac’s internal drive without my iCloud’s interference!
I would be great for these training videos to get a really wide circulation.
If you want to learn Apple stuff, who better to teach you than an Apple expert.
Agreed. One day ... Im happy to train anyone that wants to learn.
i just came here to ask why mac doesnt have an easy system to pause copying like windows does. I have 4 files copying a the same time, each 100gb each andi just wanna pause 3 of them to continue one of them at full speed. Mac is wack
There is no good reason. There are scores of missing functions in Finder.
