We should use named moves, with a start and an ending, small mini-dances, as little as possible. We should focus on basic figures of one count of eight in order to have as small building blocks as possible. The smaller the building blocks the easier it is to improvise and be music driven. At almost any moment, for each count or half-count of eight, we can continue in some new way forward.
Basic figures are equal but some basic figures are more equal than others. We should look for good pairs, triplets and quads.
"Reína, Enchufla, Coca-Cola, Rodeo" is an example of an excellent Quad. "Reína, Enchufla" is an excellent Pair. "Reína, Enchufla, Coca-Cola" is an excellent Triplet. As we discover good Pairs, we soon come up with several good options for one or more Triplets based on that Pair. Et Cetera. The idea is not to focus on how to remember and start and end moves but on how to combine and continue the flow of basic figures.
I have made several tutorials about good pairs, triplets and quads: E.g.: "Coca-Cola con Exhíbela", "Pancake, Coca-Cola, Rodeo", "Coca-Cola, Enchufla, Rodeo", "Coca-Cola, Enchufla, Coca-Cola, Rodeo", "Enchufla, Adiós, Saloneo", "Vacilala, Rodeo, Enchufla with Hook Turn", et cetera.
