The Guenther's are such a nice family. Thank you Miss Holly for sharing your knowledge with us. Thank you Mr. Ward for another amazing video. Blessings 🙏
These people are super. America at it's best. All are so intelligent. Mark's knowledge is very impressive. Thanks for showing some really good people. Great video, we will keep watching.
I love the Muddy Pond videos too! ❤ Such a cute little store and operation they have going there. Sending positive vibes for the inspection to work out for them. 🙏🏽
Good morning Holly, you are so beautiful and amazing. You are the lady every man dreams about having as a partner. But anyway thank you so much for sharing your family history with us all. God Bless you and your family. Have a beautiful sweet day.
I was thinking the same thing while watching, imagine having her as a Wife, She's Pretty, Intelligent, Frugal, and a Handy Homemaker...I can only dream to be so lucky😁
Is there anything this family can’t do,what skills and hard working mindset they have,I find it hard to believe what the head of the family can turn his hand to,probably why America is such a great country, thanks again John loved every minute 🇺🇸
I visited the store when I was there in May. Holly was running the register and is as friendly off camera as she is on. Smiles all the time and emits positive energy. I tried some Michelle's Cookies, Muddy Pond Chewy Sorghum. And they are divine. It's definitely a stop you must do. Thumbs up 👍
Interesting video John. Had no idea there was such a process to making sorghum. Thanks for sharing.😊 Addendum...Mark is such an interesting fellow. Very hard worker and very knowledgeable.
I lived in Cookeville for 42 years and have always heard about the Muddy Pond area but never took the time to check it out! I am now living in Arizona and on my next trip to visit in TN, I will be stopping by!!!! Many friends go by here and purchase items. I should be ashamed of myself!!! Thank you for a great video!!! 💞💞💞💞💞💞
That house with the flowers in front has nice cabinets in fact the cabinets are the Very best because they are well made. Keep them! They are like the ones my mother had in her house.
When I was a little boy my uncle made this syrup out in the yard in Mt Olive, Jefferson County, Alabama. He would cook the juice very dark almost burned to make a great dark syrup for biscuits and other treats. The time was 1958 or so. Uncle Troy , the syrup maker was a member of the greatest generation, that fought in and won WWII and Uncle helped the Big Red One Army run General Rommel out of the mountains of Northern Africa. This video brought back precious childhood memories. Thanks
I remember being at our neighbors sorghum making in Va. He had the big pans outside in the field with fires built beneath etc. etc. This was back in the mid 40’s and early 50’s. All the farmers/families came to watch and this went on for days. Happy memories. So sorry this dear gentleman had to suffer the know it all bully. Thank goodness the older man is rectifying his arrogance etc., and that he will learn from the lesson Mark is trying to teach him.🎉
I like that little outside museum on the porchfloor with the old wooden door and the crazy horse-shoe handles. Great. Thanks for taking me along. Best wishes from Germany
My husband and I happened upon your video and channel. Never heard of the Guenther Farm but would love to visit. Really enjoyed listening and watching Mr. Guenther. He is a WORKING MAN and they don’t make many like him anymore. My son and I try to “help” our Sunday School teacher every November when he makes cane syrup. I’ve shared this video with him because he will be able to relate to this process. I hope you will update us on Mr. Guenther’s inspection. Praying that it will go well and a new and productive relationship will be made with this new inspector. Also hope you will go back and video more of their syrup making for all of us to see. Thanks!
Ah yes. Sorghum and Peanut Butter Sandwiches, what I was raised on back in the 40s. It used to come in 5 gallon cans. The Neighborhood kids used to raid mine! No wonder after hearing about the inspector I am unable to find Sorghum any longer in the Stores! The Inspectors put people out of Business with required replacements! Has anyone heard of anyone dying from Poisons from Jars of Sorghum? I hate it when Local Government puts people out of business with Horses Rump inspections,
I wish the variety store had a website so people could buy all their goodies😀 I know the Mill does but would love to buy other things besides sorghum for those that can't make it over there.
Men and women like this are the backbone of America! I really am interested in that liquid she adds to her sourdough bread. Did you by chance get a recipe?
Thanks for another interesting and informative video. Praying that the inspection goes perfectly and this Sorghum season is one of the best so far. 👍🙏🇺🇸
Great video John, was great catching up with my favorite t shirt designer Yesterday. Hope the pain goes away and you get to feeling better. Look forward for more aweome Videos.

Love your videos and content , best wishes from south east Ireland ❤
Hoosier cabinets were made in Indiana, thus the name, first appeared in 1898 by a furniture company called Sellers, great pieces of furniture, back before built in cabinetry. My Mom bought one in the sixties and it had bins on each side on the top that held flour and cornmeal the flour side had a built in sifter. You have to be a real old fashioned cook and Baker to truly appreciate a Hoosier!👍
I've been to Muddy Pond. My grandpa made sorghum. My dad said that he would try to sell it for ten cents/gallon in the Great Depression, and couldn't sell any because people didn't have money in Bokchito, Oklahoma.
Thank you Holly for being our host and John filming, always enjoy these videos!
Mr. Gunther is well spoken and loved that he stood his ground with a not so nice inspector! He deserves far better treatment in my opinion.
Very interesting ! Quite the operation you have going .

They put little brushes where the bees enter the hives that knock the bee pollen off the bee's legs, then it falls into a compartment and collected.
I have friends in Frogeye, Alabama two hours south of Birmingham, that makes sugar cane, and Songahm Syrup, the way they did it 100 200 years ago.
I've been to Muddy Pond. My grandpa made sorghum. My dad said that he would try to sell it for ten cents/gallon in the Great Depression, and couldn't sell any because people didn't have money in Bokchito, Oklahoma.
It make me want to cry so bad that my heart is in the country and my body is stuck here in the city 😢😢😢😢😢😅😅😅😅😅
