See I love movies like this that shows you what life is like in this messed up world we live in. Like Denzel said make a choice, my eyes watered up cus I felt how deep this scene was.

My sensei taught me Ninjitsu... I was a black kid in Asia, not the best demographic to be in... He didn't just teach me martial arts but he taught me philosophy, calligraphy, sword repair, carpentry, electronics, coding... I was finishing up my drills and calls me in for lunch. I just asked him.... WHY TEACH ME... He said WHY NOT... He now lives stateside... He moved from Japan he now lives two blocks from me. It just hit me when said "Why me"....

If you don't understand what he means when he refer to "Yummy". He is referring to Yummy Sandifer. Look him up and you will understand.

I've seen the movie a million times. Watched a ton of reaction videos. Honestly, my favorite part was the reaction. You two just let it run, you weren't interrupting it every five goddamned seconds to avoid copyright claims and ruining the clip like most people do.

Denzel saw the good in the kid, and didn't want him to go down the same path he did (a killer).
Not a life he probably chose, or (if he did) not one he's probably proud of, which is why he's using his skills to help give people a chance to do the right thing.

I can watch Denzel all day....Clint Eastwood was my favorite actor but all the WOKE, Far Left Hatred pouring out of Hollywood I don't respect any of them anymore EXCEPT FOR MR.WASHINGTON...We are probably about the same age...or actually, I am 5-7 years younger but close enough... ANY OTHER ACTOR OR HIGH PROFILE PERSON TALK FACT...OBLITERATING EVERY REPORTER that does their best to back him into a corner to get just a 1 sentence sound bite they can take out of context about Race, about accountability, responsibility and where the answers have to start from...He is too smooth...Most of these actors had professional training, college educated in acting...many have famous parents and NONE OF THEM CAN RELATE TO THE REAL WORLD...BLACK...WHITE....YELLOW.... RED....all they know is money living in their protective bubble with their entourage and security detail anytime they go out.... most live in a real life fantasy land that 99.5% of Americans can not relate to at all.... Denzel is one of the few people to ever become an A-List actor without any "professional" acting guidance or teaching...He didn't study all the different specialities and the nuances of acting...he took a chance and went to a few casting calls interviews and was a natural....1st time I ever heard of him was on a primetime network drama show called St Elmo's or something like that where he played a doctor....his big coming out on the big screen as the front man was one of another self made man, Antoine Fuqua (spelling???)... in the movie, TRAINING DAY... He is probably the only actor and high profile person besides maybe Charles Barkley that can not be CANCELLED.... He's been married to the same lady for decades...never has had any drama or issues on a level that most have and most interject themselves into nowadays....BESIDES ALL OF THAT...WATCH HIS MOVIES AND YOU WILL SEE & HEAR THE FOLLOWING IN EVERYONE...or almost every film...the following:
    - His characters always have the same smooth gait or walk...how he carry's himself...every character it is unmistable when Denzel is that character...
    - His catch phrase he ad libs and throws in almost every movie is at least one of these..., "My man"....always saying it to someone trying to talk him down or berate or threaten him...he just smiles and responds with, "...my man..."
    - He always has says so much with his eyes and facial expressions albeit subtle.... watcch American Gangster, Training Day or any of the other movies he has starred in....
He is to acting what Bo Jackson was to sports...Most people don't know Bo was a world class track star and could have been on the US Olympic team in at least 3 events and won Gold....and he NEVER lifted weights or stayed in the gym like a lot of guys had to do and during his era he never touched steroids...no need...God gave him the gifts....and he harnessed those and set himself up for life...Denzel is like that as an actor... NATURAL... I know Bo personally and he is a great guy.... a great father and family man and now a great businessman... From all accounts, so is Denzel... Although age catches up with all of us who are allowed to live into our older years there is no escaping it.... Denzel will continue to be an A-List Actor when he is in his 80s...Similar to how Morgan Freeman is....Last thing, since I brought up Morgan Freeman...another down to earth, really gracious and nice man...he often will show up at his little dive blues bar in rural Mississippi and just hang out...have a few drinks with the locals....he attends Ole Miss basketball and football games....and sort of like Bo and Chuck when they are in Auburn, Alabama (Auburn University)....or when Morgan Freeman is in MS or on campus....local people so use to seeing these guys they do get attention but they aren't mobbed.... people give them their space, a wave or a hello but there aren't lines of people disrupting them bothering them for autographs or pitcures....may be 1-2 but at those times the people are always respectful...it's because those guys are inspirations and great Americans (Chuck aka Sir Charles has his moments but for the most part he's a really good guy too).... Sorry to ramble... but this scene is IMO the most powerful one in his career... because those weren't just words from a script... he was speaking to every person watching and listening...
