  • In episode three of The Acolyte, we see a flashback to the planet Brendok, where four Jedi approach the local clan of witches to take the two children, Osha and Mae, to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. One child wants to stay, while another wants to go and become a Jedi Padawan. The practice of Jedi taking children from their families at a young age has always seemed problematic. But what if it’s actually a necessary evil? Star Wars as a franchise has never made a good case for why it must be this way. But over at Marvel, the X-Men comics and films have done something similar, in a way that makes sense, that could also explain why the Jedi adopted this practice as well.

Episode 4’s Ending Was So Scary, I’ve NEVER Seen A Sith Lord Levitate So Quietly And Fluently Like THAT, The Way He Just Levitates Down And Keeps Moving Forward Without Even Moving A Muscle Like That Like FUCKING SUPERMAN And The Fact He Literally Just *APPEARED* There, Just Blinked Into Existence Out Of Literally NOWHERE Like That Is Scary As Hell, I’d Be TERRIFIED To Face Something Like THAT

@@The_Geekdome Levitation Is The Most Basic Technique Every Force-Wielder Knows, But Levitating YOURSELF Or Others Is The Most Difficult Form, The Fact The Sith Lord Did It With Little Effort Is TERRIFYING! I mean, if you mean in Disney canon, that is true, they never explain why. But even in Empire Strikes back, we are shown that the Jedi do have an age limit, and Yoda lists off reason why. IN Pre-Disney canon, it is explored and explained and in Phantom menace it is also explained.
