But does it have dedicated mSATA SSD slot? Or did you remove WiFi module for it?

Hi dear, I have exactly the same laptop as you with the same i7 3940XM processor. I want to upgrade it to 32GB of RAM, but it only allows me to add up to 16GB. I have checked all the RAM modules and slots, and they are fine. I have 4 RAM modules, each one with 8GB, all of the same brand (Kingston) and model DDR3L at 1600 MHz (12800). How did you manage to make the 32GB work for you? Regards.

You completely skipped how to expose the DVD by removing the back plate.

I know I'm quite late but if someone is having this problem check your charger wattage. this laptop needs a 180 watt charger otherwise the system will under clock.

3:58 and 9:27 what parts is that ?

Good grief. Compared to the m4500, this looks like it's way more complicated to take apart. I have to repaste the heatsinks and I'm not looking forward to all of this... :(

So I finally did the deed the other week. Not bad at all. All of the screws and where they go are legible on the laptop itself, and once you get past the fact that yes, the palm rest assembly does have to come apart, it's not bad at all. Repasted the laptop and all is well.
