    Love your style!
    At 1:44 there is "pesto faristo" written on the belt, which apperently means plaguemaker in esperanto.
    The people at 0:40 are just concerned citicens going for a little Spaziergang, nothing to worry about.

    Peryite really ought to be the next head for a Daedric expansion, could even set it in Thras if they want to confirm his link with the Sload or keep it in a territory in the likely High Rock/Hammerfell. Malacath or Boethia could also work depending on the storyline. Anyway, cool as ever, and keep on sneezing boys.

    • @watcher314159
      @watcher314159 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, not endemic! It's an autoimmune disease like AIDS. All the respiratory stuff is just a side effect of the body attacking itself. It can get past the blood brain barrier and even "mild" cases see significant long term cognitive damage. There's no point at which it mutates to be acceptably mild if endemic given how it fundamentally works.
      That said, this is a case study in why Peryite is up there with Mehrunes Dragon as one of the most overtly destructive Princes. Really outdid himself with this one.

    Peryite’s aspect as taskmaster is very fascinating. He brings disease, yet also brings natural order to the world, making sure that pestilence cometh. But I cannot help but wonder how wonderful this combination is. To avoid pestilence and the collapse of their conceptual world, mortals must labour to complete the daily tasks and more set before them, if they are to avoid the coming flood. Peryite brings disease when things are out of balance and out of order.
    I believe would be great to attribute him also the title of the lord of sacrifice for the future. We ought to complete the tasks we ought to do, if we wish to avoid imbalance and thereby conjure the bad times. Peryite gives motivation to complete tasks and take responsibility to work so as to avoid dying when the flood comes. By flood, I hereby mean to disease and disaster, that wipes away the weak and exposes flaws and vulnerabilities, both societal and individual. Peryite brings the concept of time, by a way of the future and the past. Learning from the past, sacrifice the present and fear for the future (thereby sacrificing to Peryite by completing tasks).
    He is the aspect of time Akatosh is not. As Yin to Yang, Peryite is the dark, but no less truthful nor powerful aspect of time. Akatosh's virtues are: Endurance, his lasting quality, Invincibility, his indomitable quality, and Everlasting Legitimacy, his lawful quality. He promotes the virtues of duty, service, and obedience. Through a sense of duty and a want of service do his followers complete their task and look upon the past, present, and future. The other side of the coin of time is Peryite.
    By fear of his coming, balancing of the natural order, mortals wish to complete their tasks and sacrifice the now for the future, in order to avoid decay. The rotting of weakness brings the opportunity for natural strength. It is not through a sense of duty or service that mortals who has or know of Peryites coming, labour. It is a figuring part of time, that we are motivated by a wish to survive and also to avoid the uncomfortable by reflecting on the past and sacrifice the now for the future. He is easily forgotten by those who have heard or experience little of what comes with his wings of blight. But each time he commands, all mortals remember why their tasks ought to be completed.
    He brings urgency, a quality sorely lacking in our modern day and age, but that is besides the point. Death and suffering have the capacity to bring forth urgency. The Lord of the Natural Order brings the reason for time itself, and is therefore greater than Akatosh. He is a daedric prince, yet has taken up an aedra task and thereby inherits part of the aedra control of time. Eternally he sacrifices the present for the future, for to keep ahead of the other daedric princes’ schemes to ruin the natural order of things, he must always labour.
    "Trying to keep ahead of it all keeps Peryite mighty busy, but nobody really feels sorry for him.” - Riparius, Fa-Nuit-Hen's tutor.
    Disease can also force respite from labour and reflection.
    Peryite, oh Peryite, how I thank thee for thy plight.

      Thank u so much for the comment. I really enjoyed reading that and really like how you connected his title of taskmaster to people doing their "tasks" to survive.

    • @taschenfilme1573
      @taschenfilme1573  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So Peryite with his order of things gifts mortals the experience of the now.. (?)
      Also I wanted to say that the modern world feels incredibly urgent to me but now that i think about it there is definitely alot of aspects where we are not urgent on at all

      @@taschenfilme1573 There may be different approaches to him. Some might react to the inevitability of death and the possibility of great suffering beforehand, with hedonism. They mostly live in the here and now and are therefore (at least in theory) more likely to be wiped out by Peryites diseases and other disasters when they come. The now becomes under Peryite, fear and motivation to strengthen and prepare for future unpleasantness.
      In my view, Akatosh is more about the now because he provides security through duty (therefore trust in others) and service. His virtues secures collective lifting of burdens such as, for example food supply, information and advancement in efficiency. Akatosh's virtues are the virtues of the now, while Peryite’s are the virtues of the past and the future.
      Now to the part about urgency. I understand and agree about the feeling of urgency in the modern world. I was too unspecific when using the term.
      What I meant was the latency by which young people (me included), at least in the west hemisphere, lack the feeling of urgency to become mature. Death and disease are lessened to such an extent that there is little need to mature.
      This I think leaves a lot of people with unwillingness to take responsibility and accept suffering, for others as well as for themselves. Without this deep-seated fear of unpreparedness for the future, there isn't any real urgency to take things seriously or get things going. There is a lack of meaning and motivation, I think, to complete task dedicated and thoroughly. And the rites of passage, if any, are lacklustre and does not seem to engrave that much meaning, motivation or responsibility.
      It was merely this I thought of when using the term urgency. But yeah, there is a lot of urgency on other fronts.

    My second year of college me and my friends tried to make brownies, and they turned out into more of a soupy mixture. We labeled it brownie soup! It was fun to all gather around eating it. The next morning I was cleaning the bowl, and had maybe a teaspoon of the brownie soup that had been left out. Within 30 minutes I felt incredibly ill, and laid down having lucid fever dreams. Peryite feels like the daedra lord who gets the shortest end of the stick in the games and by fans. I don’t buy for a second that he is the weakest of them. His sphere is too important for that to be true. He’s probably just too busy to bother flexing like all the others constantly feel the need to.
