If this were canon, it would show some form of character development for Ash with how desperate he is to find Serena and rectify what he now views as his biggest mistake, not realising Serena’s feelings towards him! You can see his emotions in his nightmares of Serena saying that he never understood her feelings for him and that they will never meet ever again. Those nightmares tears ash apart and makes him more desperate!!!!

Ash should quit for becoming a pokémon master he is a good fortune teller he guessed that Serena iisn't coming to sinnoh and she is coming to kanto and also ash guessed the exact date when Serena is coming to kanto
