Thanks so much was nice to get back out there for sure! ah nice bet you were happy as well. Hey your right always worth it. All the best and have a great season out on the water Cheers!
Ah thank you so much Rick! yes hope to have some nice videos for you this year!. For sure we have to make that happen. After the first weekend in june I am free for rides so let me know when you are free and we will go from there! Cheers!
Hi Mark, Saw your presentation at the Toronto Boat Show. You were great and have inspired me to want to start going for longer rides this summer. I'd love to get out for a ride. Just upgraded to a 24 GTI SE over the winter, so I am anxiously awaiting its arrival. Cheers from Trenton.
Ah that is great thank you so much for checking it out. Oh wow that is amazing trust me you will have an amazing time getting out for those longer adventures. That is a great unit you will have a great time with it for sure. I hope to be out that way a bit more this summer so hope to maybe see you out on the water. Cheers!
Ah thank you so much! I will for sure and hope that you enjoy the adventures this year. So cool there must be so many cool places to see from the water in Malta! Would love to visit there looks amazing. Cheers!
Nice! Got out myself a few weeks ago on the Rideau near Ottawa (Manotick to Burritt's Rapids section). There was ton of wood like you experienced as well. Floating pieces of docks too. It was a bit of an obstacle course. I was very alert. Sadly discovered in the process a faulty right-hand D-pad on my 2023 GTX. Just got it replaced under warranty by the dealer. Apparently it was that tech's third one he's seen. Found two more reports of this online too. At least for myself and for one other person, it just became defective over winter sitting in a home garage. Very odd. But the dealer addressed it right away since they had the part in stock. But this is exactly why I like to get out early to work out these gremlins before doing big trips. Especially after adding a bunch of accessories over winter. lol Depth finder, X/ski module, angled foot rests, speed ties 2.0, tow valve, and McGyvered saddle bags too! Welcome back and enjoy the upcoming season!
Oh wow that is great. I am hoping to get up that way this year and check that part of the river out so might pick your brain for places to stay and launch from and hey maybe have you show me around. Right spring is like riding in a mine field of wood lol Wow docks ya that would end your day for sure. Of wow really that is strange it would stop working over the winter. Crazy 3rd one just that tech has seen, will have to see if my tech has seen it as well. Hey but you got it fixed and are ready to go! Nice pick ups on the accessories make the seadoo just that much better to get out there with. Where are you looking for trips this year? I am just trying to sort mine out now. Thanks for checking out the video and do keep in touch Cheers!
Good to see you back out on the water, Mark. And, THRILLED to hear there will be a camera/technology video upcoming. I've been pestering you for that for two off-seasons now. I'm really looking forward to that! And, you retired the Oakley hat for a Bluejays hat, too. All the best!
Thanks so much good to be back for sure! Yes it will be coming out this week on Friday so look out for that. LOL oh I know so here it comes. I still have the Oakley one but thought that it would play better for the video with the blue jay hat lol Well good to hear from you all the best Cheers!
You beat me, I haven't been out yet. Too much wind. I can't wait, this is the longest time between snowmobiling and boating, back to back crappy seasons. I am starting the season with 640hrs and 17,588kms on my 2018 fx ho and it runs like new. The 4 strokes are a game changer.
LOL got you! yes the weather has not been good so far this spring but hoping it will turn around soon. Nice they sure don't build them like that any more. I am sitting at just over 500 hrs on mine from 2019 with no issues. Well hope you are able to get out soon and lets see about meeting up again for a ride. Cheers!
I was thinking of doing that run this year with the Switch as I have heard a lot of great things about that run. For sure will let you know for sure. Cheers!
I just have on some leggings then my Columbia PFG pants and then I have my Columbia waterproof pants. For top I have a long sleeve shirt then a hoodie and then my Columbia Waterproof jacket. The jacket and pants also really cut the wind so you don't feel it. That is for a nice day in the spring or fall. If it was colder and chance of rain then I would have my wetsuit and or my neoprene jacket.
Nice, btw it did feel like a long off season, and for us still not quite there yet. Anyway, curious, does the city or harbour in TO clean that area and look for debris, you made it sound like someone checks or cleans the launch and inner dock marina area.
Cheers! yes it sure did and has not been great since then but hope it will be full on soon. So from what I have seen is during the season I have seen city crews clean the ramps but not sure how often how much they do it. As for the harbour I believe they do go through and try to remove the lager logs that are in there but I don't think they do it till mid may. So that is why I say you have to be careful going out before the May long weekend.
I have and I use it when I am fishing mostly. Or on shore exploring to give that POV like you are there walking it as well. When moving on the Sea Doo the handle bars get in the way but I do use that shot now and then.
Great video, Mark. Curious to know which map pack you’re running. I have the same gps but mine doesn’t have the same amount of detail as yours. Perhaps I’m running a basic version or something. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you so much! Most likely you are using the built in maps that comes with the Garmin. You need to download the map pack called LakeVU north America from the Garmin website. Check out my video from episode 104 I go over what is needed to get it all set up. if that does not help reach out to me and I can give you a break down off line. All the best Cheers!
Yes I do hope to get back up there again this year. Oh yes that was an amazing ride so do hope to get back out on that lake for sure. Are there any lakes that you would recommend up there to check out. Cheers!
It was not that bad that night. Was 17C on the water with no wind so that really helps. Near the end it did start to get a bit of a chill on the hands but so worth it to get out there.
Oh ya was to nice of a day not to get out on the water. Sadly the weather has not been nice since then but hopping to get back out soon. You ready for another season and cool places your going to be checking out?
hey mark have you ever been up to peterbrough aeria on little lake or lakefield aswell it amazing place and maybe ylou should consider doing a vedio there this summer
I have done the locks from rice lake all the way back to Lake Simcoe so have been through there but was all the way back in episode 38 crazy. I do ride the Otonabee River and on to rice lake at least one a season but should get back up to see the lift lock again. Do you know if it is fully working this season?
@@MarkForrestAdventures nice i actually live in peterbrough my self right on the otonabee river theres also the boat launch on the river down the street from me i also went to rice lake last year for my first time and i went that resort there
@@MarkForrestAdventures yes its a great strech of river awesome sound good let mi know when you head out that way and theres also really good fishing in that river to
Oh yes my grand parents had a cottage right down my the mouth of the river to Rice Lake so spent many years when I was younger on that river. I will for sure.
Oh ya it is strange to see and you can't even get in there by water anymore so can not get close to the amphitheatre. Hope they get it all fixed up soon!
@@MarkForrestAdventures mark i guess your not going out on the water anytime soon this week and look at this misabole weather were having and are you going back out on the may24 long weekend
