@3:10 "so please stay for the whole show, it's gonna be worth it definitely" alisha you sneak, so many breadcrumbs leading to that johnwilliams reveal :p
My heart and my head are feeling things I don’t know how to comprehend. Like when you attend your favorite band’s concert, and you’re high off the love and tears, and then it’s over and you go back to real life and your stomach hurts.
But I forgot to add the part where there’s a moment where the lead vocalist/your truest cosmic supersonic friend makes eye contact with you and for a split moment, while everyone is scream/cry/singing the lyrics during the good middle of “intrepid”, you accidentally share a soul. (That’s how this makes me feel, even 7 months later) 😂😂😂🙃 I want to be a pet of this next time it happens.
Goodness gracious, jumpin' jellyfish... Evan, if you ever read this, I just want you to know that Cyclone reeeally fucks me up somethin' fierce. On an emotional level, that is. It's honestly prrretty, pretty hard for me to not cry when I'm listening to it. And I, of course, sincerely mean all of that in the highest sense of praise. Thank you so much.
Just to add to Evan's explanation about vinyl manufacturing, there are a very limited number of large scale record manufacturers in the world. A lot of them closed when the music industry moved away from vinyls and into CD's in the late 80s-early 90s. Now along with having only a few manufacturers left, a lot of them are still using machinery that is old and replacement parts are basically impossible to find. Any delays in manufacturing are typically lengthy because of this. P.S. clean your records before you play them as they typically come with a lot of static and have a lot of particles on them from the factory.
hey daniel! i recommend joining the fb group (i'm gonna sublimate away & listen to pinegrove). we're actually doing a way more informal open mic this sunday (& maybe/hopefully more in the future) - we'd love to have you if you're interested!
@@alishagmawji thank you Alisha 🙂 I have put in a request to join the group. I may not be available on Sunday. Not 100% sure yet. It will also depend on what time it is running as I am in the UK so that will have an impact. Anyway I can check it out once I’m in the group 🙂
there is! but it's part of a much longer version of the recording which i haven't posted publicly (just shared with the performers). i can ask paul if he'd feel comfortable posting that cover somewhere though!
