I've already found some more Smokers just not blades...one has been on my paleo bucket list if it's what I think it is...I just got into this going on 3 yrs this Sept so identifying isn't my strongest suit yet lol. Problem I have is not all points fit the exact profiles of the ones in the Overstreet guide and online. Thanks for the support bro! Been subbd to you since your beginnings my dude 💯

    No, Stanfield blades range from late paleo through
    Archaic. Cobbs are beveled stanfields arent

      Ohh ok thank you...I just had someone tell me they were transitional I did not know they were around since late paleo but I assumed they stuck around long enough to become a cobbs! Thank you for the information as im always trying to gain knowledge on artifacts

    That creek of yours has definitely cut through an encampment. That first point resembles a Cataco creek. And that first big blade, if the artisan had been able to finish it, I'm 99.99% certain it would have been an Agate Basin. Definitely a paleo preform. Textbook Cobbs. Dude, what a year you have in-store

      Yup no problem....it took all of 30 mins of a Pic I posted to arrowheads.com on The "what did I find" thread and "show and tell" thread before people who certify artifacts and other very knowledgeable people told me what it was. It's a great site. Those stanfields are crazy! Got some good ones coming up on the next video too 👍

    Ive never seen so many big ones come out of a creek like that. There's got to be a mound somewhere around there. They all look like ceremonial artifats there so big

      They were all 3 in separate creeks...they are all near rivers and were highly inhabited areas so there's crazy stuff that pops up after the floods around here. But those were absolutely shocking to find.

    That paleo flaked one definitely looks like some kind of dalton preform. Ive seen a few others jus like that, same color and everything come from missouri, and thats what they ended up being. Stanfields are alot further east in Tennessee down into florida. Id say its 95% Dalton related

      You are the 2nd person to say that! We are gonna bring it to the Artifact Show In collinsville next weekend to get it positively identified. Not sure if you're around the STL area but if you have the time that show is worth it.

    Insanity! How long do you stand in one area in the river before giving up on that spot. I need to get some river finds but I believe i'm moving to quick.

      While in the water it depends I guess...maybe a few seconds to a minute just scanning as I walk...polarized shades are extremely helpful! If I'm in an area I know produces i slow my ass down to a snails pace and may take an hour to walk every 100yds

      It's part of the shock, kinda leaves me speechless and just say random things lol....all the freaking out usually happens off camera ... and in the case of that Stanfield my landowner has 6 Akitas that will go ballistic if they hear people on the property and I didn't want him getting annoyed by those loud ass dogs that early 😆 😂
