honestly, there were some really good entries but your cover blew me out of the water when I heard it.
It’s so crazy how much difference the guitar makes to the player. Congratulations on winning the comp and the guitar, but you seem so comfortable playing on the guitar you originally recorded your cover/arrangement with, and on Tim’s guitar you very much seem to be adjusting to its feel.
Edit: which is not a bad thing at all! It’s just crazy to see how even a guitar bestowed upon you by a god like Tim doesn’t automatically mean it’s the cleanest or most comfortable to play guitar for you.
I'm a guitar player and i didn't even think of this. Here I was thinking, "is it just me or does the Fender sound better?" I even left a comment saying this lol. I'm gonna leave it up though

one is an electric classical, and the other is an acoustic guitar with steel strings
Yeah my first guitar was a shitty $40 acoustic guitar, it had high string action crappy tuning pegs crappy wood quality, it sounded like shit, I thought my playing was bad and I had that crap for 6 years until I finally got my first electric guitar for $1000(an Ibanez RG550). I felt like a god when I first played it, I sounded so clean, the action was low so the strings were easier to press, I could finally shred like how I wanted to. The finger strength I gained from playing a badly set up high action acoustic with thick string gauge paid off in the end but it doesn't mean I recommend getting a shit guitar as your starter always go for decent ones.
@@battleshipyamato8505 I just watched a Kenyan band playing with plastic cans and make shift string instruments and they grooved like no other. It's the musician .. whole genres of music were build on cheap instruments. Blues, early jazz, punk, garage ... So I won't say no to a Steinway piano; but let's leave anything that costs more than $500 to wealthy professional musicians, lawyers and other people with middle life crisis.

@DelcoDVD nono, the song is originally played hybrid picking and I thought it was impossible to play any other way but this guy has proved me wrong

C'mon, hybrid picking was invented to combine stronger bass attack and mellower high strings(In other words, to create a more jazzy tone), it's not exactly for shredding. Also, to the guy above, you can still shred with fingerpicking, in fact the first guitar shredders were fingerpickers and could shred comparatively as fast as electric guitar shredders, they were called classical guitarists and have been around for hundreds of years :) crazy thing huh? Bet you never learned that in school

Yes, Tim said in his video that the bossa nova section was made by a guitarist's guitar teacher taught to him a long time ago. And one day me and my band's vocal were jamming on a track and he realized that the chord progression was very similar to the bossa nova section. And I also covered it. Congrats Paolo, the Tod10 really matches your playstyle, it sounds amazing compared to usual accoustic guitars, the matt black color on the body is so smooth and pattern on the neck really makes the finish. All around a guitar i might buy myself😄

His plucking style is not really that good with nylon strings, unlike tims uses pick, Paolo can create better sounds with steel strings
