Whew👀😣 but it is a GORGEOUS tank...just change the lighting setting for filming etc. Go on YT and watch the vids here about s/w species names and the seriously fantastic YT content folks like Billy, Steve, and Marc for starters. There should be at least ONE s/w guru at your LFS as well. There was one in my two stores I ran years ago....know *her well..lol...*me. Good luck👍

Keep a very close eye on the tangs with the same body shape as each other. They are known for being aggressive towards other tangs that look like them.

If you do a guppy tank, make it the fanciest guppy tank ever. everyone has kept guppies at one point. show us what a guppy tank by the master himself can be 👑
Hey Joey, Im not reef expert however over the past 5 years ive learned this: (ill begin from the beginning of the livestock part of the video) Cylindrical Tanks, ive heard increase stress level for a fish... (not 100% on this) Now to what i know: -Cleaner shrimp do not live long at all as they feast on parasites, anything over 20ppm nitrates will kill them, Also when molting have a chance to get eaten at the fish will think it is a dead shrimp when molting. -Same family tang will fight, regardless being put in at the same time. - Achilles tang recommended tank is at least a 7 foot tank x 2 foot, even at a smaller size. main reason is the swim space, limiting space size will increase stress. -Im not sure if those fish were quarantined, but ich is very easy with the Acanthurus tangs. Zebrasoma, are a bit tougher but are also susceptible to ich. Also, feeding all natural, non pellet for these saltwater tangs, i feel enhanced my my tangs color's and size growth. Seaweed is a must, but not necessary everyday. Foods like mysis are fine but not more than 2-3 times a week.

MusoTV I agree completely, in principle. I’ve watched him for years, and when his ideals were solid, he was a great source to learn from. However. He’s not about educating anymore. He doesn’t want to be educated and I’ve never seen him take advice or do any of his own research before hand. I don’t hate Joey as a person, but I hate how he’s such a big influence and not doing the salt hobby any good by how he jumps in and screws it up.
It can be done all tanks are different, i had a friend with a load of tangs was fine i tried to have a few tangs and didn't work, but will be fun to see if they get along or if they bully only time will tell

Hey Joey, Just my two cents after keeping a reef tank for over 8 years, Tangs are very aggressive and territorial when kept in captivity especially mixed breads, my marine tank was already established and up and running, but wanted to upgrade my livestock (600 litre system with 250 litre sump), I purchased 4 yellow tangs from the same breeder as well as a hippo tang, but was advised to drop them all at the same time with the lights out as aggression with start, I followed the advice and was very lucky, over 4 years they all played ball, big tank, big system, good clean water, regular feedings, then all of a sudden the smaller of the yellow tang was being picked on by the other yellow tangs, then the little one would hide and not take on any food and eventually the inevitable happened, then 6 months later it happened again and I was down to two yellow tangs, the same thing happened again and then I was down to one!!!, the same happened with my Bangai Cardinals and my Blue Chromis, they all fight until there is only one left when kept in captivity despite the tank size... RIP my prize purple tang that just grew old, she had a great personality for the 4 years I had her and everyone that came to the house commented on her (a tank re-home from someone that already owned it for 7 years), beautiful saltwater fish but just don't get attached to them... 😢😢😢🤔🤔🤔
Achilles is already scraping himself off the substrate. T-minus 7 days for complete infestation of crypto. You gotta keep FO tanks medicated with non-chelated copper. Especially when grouping multiple tangs. That, or a long quarantine time in copper. I'm fearing the next update video for this tank.
Careful with that lighting Joey, running those reds can cause a quick algae problem. That spectrum tends to cause turf algae rather fast in salt water, especially without a clean up crew. Love the new fish ! Best of luck with those beauties ❤️

Yes! Guppies! I have been hoping you would do them at some point. That is what I keep personally. I know they are a "beginner" fish but there is so much you can do with them and they are so colorful.

Betta sororities are a bad idea. Proven time and time again that "submissive" females are in a constant state of high stress and they end up succumbing to disease. Whoever popularized this style of tank needs a smack in the face.
Kitty Kat needs a cat stand to sit next to the tank & watch! She'll learn she can't hunt them, but it would provide stimulus for all the animals! My Freja pets the shrimp through the glass (she sits and watches them DAILY), and several of the older ones come to her paw when she rests it on the glass & makes her purr, they don't fear her at all.
I like the tank and also the fish. But the light makes it so unnatural to me should be just white with a little bit blue. Nice video but for me the light makes ist ugly sorry. No hate just saying
Joey, do a saltwater guppy tank. Both guppies and mollies can be converted to saltwater, due to the fish being brackish water fish, and the conversion to salt would be something cool to show your fans.

I'm sorry but for someone that's running an 'educational chanel' and has had marine fish before I can't believe that you just put 4 TANGS in a cylinder tank.... There is such little floor space and swimming room because its a cylinder. They will be fighting constantly. And to be honest because of the shape I wouldn't say this tank is suitable for tangs. Really questionable choices.
the color of your light in the aquarium is bad because it distorts the colors of the fish. I recommend a light color of 6500k and a bit 20000k if you want more exotic ;)
Joey... If you're thinking of doing a begineer's cichlid tank and have done Parrot Cichlids in the past, then you understand how the hardiness of the Parrot Cichlid makes it a great starter fish. Plus look at how cute they are... they're like living charactures of Goldfish! And we all know what a draw Goldfish can be...! ;)
Ok I know from experience purple tangs are extremely aggressive along with the other tangs... be careful!! I have killed fish from trial and error this way☹️

Tangs will be way too miserable in that tank, surely to kill each other. The powder brown and the Achilles will probably end up with ich in the next week or so. But. We don’t have to worry about it. He’ll throw em in, not show the tank for a while, then “have a new idea and get rid of them all”.
@@flamzy150 It will with the bacteria as mine did and I used Carib Sea Life Rock which does not come live along with Turbo Start 900. My tank cycled in about 3 or 4 days and has been up for a year now.

The cylinder tank allows them to swim more easily in circles. Especially since the scape is only in the center of the tank.
I dont know why they let him buy 5 tangs at the lfs knowing what tank he has and that you dont mix that many tangs together

This tank is like Ralphie’s bunny suit in a Christmas story. A pink nightmare as the old man would say. Hopefully we can get some footage soon where we can see the fish. Happy Holidays!

I doubt the achilles is going to make it.
Tangs will be way too miserable in that tank, surely to kill each other. The powder brown and the Achilles will probably end up with ich in the next week or so.
But. We don’t have to worry about it. He’ll throw em in, not show the tank for a while, then “have a new idea and get rid of them all”.

@@flamzy150 It will with the bacteria as mine did and I used Carib Sea Life Rock which does not come live along with Turbo Start 900. My tank cycled in about 3 or 4 days and has been up for a year now.

YEEESS on the guppy tank! i'd love to see some nice gups, and putting em with medium size tetras (like black phantoms) really helps with the population!
