- Kalashnikov USA KS-12T
Today we are unboxing and taking some first shots with the Kalashnikov USA 12 gage AK. I have high hopes for this shotgun and hope that after extensive testing the results are good. Look for an update video in a few months after I have put at least 500 rounds through it.

Nice work on this 👍
Thanks!
Awesome, Brother!! 💯👍
Thank you.
@@3DOutdoors You are welcome!!
The only Kalashnikov USA video I can even find!
Awesome. Thanks for watching. Plan to run a lot of rounds through it this weekend and in the near future. A follow up video will be in the works.
Superb video 👏🏻
Thank you
Love the platform, and happy to see this one performing so well out of the box!
It is really nice to have it work the way it should. Hopefully during the long term testing it continues that way.
Almost bought one (a KS12) BUT... it's major cons:
1. *_No chromed lined barrel_* - the Kalashnikov USA KS-12 shotgun does not have a chromed lined barrel like the Molot Vepr 12 shotgun & higher end AKs.
2. *_The magazines jam_* - tmalfunctions/jams.
3. *_The weak-ish stock_* - some of the the Kalashnikov USA KS-12 shotgun's stocks are not strong enough for more powerful buckshot loads like 3 inchers & break.
The Kalashnikov USA KS-12 shotgun is OK _BUT_ for the money I would and probably will buy the more costly but better *_Molot Vepr 12._*
Thank you.
enjoy your day sir shotgun amazing
That is an impressive 12 gauge. Thanks Dan
Thank you, it is a lot of fun to shoot.
NICE!!!!! I would not have guessed this was a 12 gauge at all. Love it!!
It is a really smooth shooter, it's lots of fun to shoot.
Stop by to do a rewatch to show some love & support!! 👍
Thank you.
@@3DOutdoors Welcome!!
Looks like a nice shotgun. Will be interesting to see it put through its paces long term.
That is for sure, hope it continues to work good.
ohh, I like that beast!
the case is sweet and WOW that 12 Gauge looks like years of fun!
It is sooooo much fun to shoot.
Another amazing video of yours well done my friend 👍🏼😎
Thank you
I’m cool with the vid I I don’t think all akms if not any have the last round bolt hold open mechanism
Agreed.
lots of fun to me! nice video
For sure. Thanks for watching.
Great video as always buddy 💯👍
Thank you
Hello, what type of ammo do you recommend when breaking in this beauty
I believe the owner's manual has some recommendations; I used a little heavier load.
That's a nice shotgun.
president excellent rifle AK 12 gauge shotgun fantastic great alot of fun shooting there great excited everyshoot perfict fantastic have nice day karon "
Thank you.
Great video!
What a gun that is-it's amazing!
Thank you
Impressive so far- scattergun fun zone.
For sure, it is so much fun.
I still want a vepr 12, but this is cool too. Wouldn't mind to own both, personally.
I wouldn't mind having a vepr myself.
Why does anyone want a vepr, i compared the wo at the lgs, this 12t is so much nicer
Nice gun...nice video👍👍👍
Nice looking scattergun
Thank you
Nice shotgun
I hear the top portion of the magazine breaks. Did they fix that problem?
Haven't had that issue yet.
Had no idea they remade the "saiga style" shotgun, good way around the stupid import ban.
It's still compatible with all other saiga magazines and drums? Can it still be converted into a SBR? I didn't watch the full video just the shooting, is there a gas adjustment switch like with the saiga?
Oh that is nice.
Thank you.
Wondering what types of ammo y'all run through this, I got one and I know mine doesn't like cheap Winchester Target loads.. #8 turkey ran flawless (I actually used 3inch) but kicked pretty hard.
I have shot a lot of different ammo through it and unfortunately almost all of the low brass ammo has some issues if you shoot enough of it. I will have a video in the future on this.
Well I don't think there is any set criteria, but I have never seen any low brass with more than 1 1/8 oz of shot in them. If you look at the base it is way lower than the hunting loads. These low brass are the rounds used tor sporting clay, trap, skeet. I think the higher recoil from the more shot in the load helps it operate better.
AK47 KUSSSHH what is a hot load? Higher powder and if so what amount? Where did you read that it has to be broken in like that? Thanks in advance dude
Still waiting for it to come back in stock. I am so anxious to get this. I spoke with a Kalashnikov rep, he says this is the king of the hill of ak shotguns. I own the vepr, catamount fury, saiga and ddi 12...Will this be the best? I can't wait to find out. Great vid!
TheRoadhammer379 any updates?
Gregory Tomeo, I am currently at 600+ rounds through the k12. Absolutely a beast, I got the Kalashnikov USA ks12T, it ran Wal-Mart bulk low brass out of the box. I cleaned it, lubed it and my first 100 rounds were low brass bird shot, had three FTE out of 100. Dumped the next 500 +/- rounds with no issues, all Wolf 9 pellet buckshot.
It runs SGM, AGP and the few steel Saiga 12 mags I have with excellent fitment. Promag needed a little filing on mag catch lug. No deformation on the bolt face or bolt lugs, I am very happy with it. I will be honest with you, I had to open up the gas port holes on my vepr12, they were misaligned on the gas block, my s12 hated low brass for awhile, my ddi-12 needed some polishing on the rails and about 50 rounds of high brass to break in. My cheap ass $300 catamount fury 1 was the only gun that ran flawlessly on low brass from the word go, until the k12T.
I say, you won't be disappointed.
that thing is cool
It is, and so much fun to shoot.
It looks like a lot of fun but why wouldn't they have a last round bolt hold open? Is this a lower/cheaper model?
That’s just how saigas are made for some reason.
Wish they would make something like vepr 12
Solid review. Have you ran any of the bulk pack bird shot shells? Wondering about reliability with lighter loads.
Yes I have, mixed results so far. It doesn't seem to like the Federal low brass at this point. After I put around 1000 rounds through it I will post a follow up review.
I really wish you would have specified the Shotgun ammo speed/specific types/dram eq. you were shooting. Like maybe holding up the box to the camera? telling us just the shot weight and brand is not very informative. For example there are a TON of Winchester 12 gauge shells with a shot weight of 1 1/8 oz..., Super speed, AA, target load white box, wal mart bulk pack....some are great, Others are pure junk. Otherwise nice review thanks for getting it out there and glad you got a good gun!
Thank you. Good points, I will make sure to do that in the future. Thanks for watching.
I would like to see it compared to the cheetah 12. Does Saiga mags work with it
The standard Saiga mags have worked but not some of the drums. I will see if we can come up with the funds to get a Cheetah to compare.
I wish all my guns came with a case like that!
For sure, then they wouldn't all be taking up room in my closet collecting dust, they would be getting used.
How are you liking this gun 9 months later? Are you still thinking about a follow-up review?
need video!!!
Nice semi auto 12 🔥 everything flawlessly looking forward to your next video I have 1 only been out with it once my favorite new toy
Im torn between this and the VEPR12 and the SKO 12.. The SKO 12 appears to be the best so far
Nothings better than the vepr but good look finding 1
Does anyone know if these guns only run proprietary mags or will it run Saiga 12 mags.
Some Saiga mags fit and some don't.
Thank you for the quick reply, I guess it will be trial and error but definitely good news. Going to order mine today, very excited.
I want one
It's a lot of fun.
I did buy one
very nice review bro, any news on how it has held up over the past few months? did you use a variety of ammo in it ranging from slugs down to 3 dram birdshot?
It has worked well but I want to put many more rounds through it and do a follow up video, hopefully before winter. Thanks for watching.
bad to the bone!! i like caa products too so that adds to it. seems like a great variant!
I am really enjoying it so far.
www.sdsimports.com
HAve you tried the SDS Cheetah 12 yet? About $400 less! Of course, it is also Chinese. But has AR style selector, long radius glo sights, left-side charging handle, bolt hold-open and takes AR-style buffer tube/stock combinations.
I haven't but they look really good. Thank you for the information.
I like the features of the cheetah but the lynx is better quality and will last longer
I wonder how good compared to DDI's version.
That is a good question.
Maybe a future idea for a show Maybe? Lol
Plz show the weapon
Thank you.
This is the first tabletop review. I'm 50/50 on this gun right now.
Lone Star Arms did a video and it wasn't cycling various ammo to well.
I will continue to test it. That has been the issue with other AK 12 gage models so I hope this one is better.
Atlanta Light , no ak pattern shotgun runs low brass loads well. Vepr, Saiga, DDI and Catamount all need work to run low brass. These guns are almost flawless as designed...running high powered military loads. Typical American logic...ask a product to do something it wasn't designed to do and we declare it a piece of junk. Smh.
+TheRoadhammer379 You said it best lol. They run 00 000 slug birdshot just fine lol but some person says hey let me run this super weak load through and declare it crap lol. I'm going to start tell folks this lol
I have some guys at my local range, who have declared the Vepr 12 as novelty junk because it stovepipes walmart bulk pack ammo, lol. I am like, "really, so if you buy a Toyota Prius for gas mileage but lose a drag race to a Corvette, the Toyota is junk?" I did the research before buying each gun and I made gas port massaging my first priority on each. They all run extremely well now, regardless of high or low brass. Have a good day.
Y no son copiones los eeuu
I need your helps
Thank you.
Over priced saiga clone
Thank you.
I got a lynx12. Similar but half the price. Built like a tank
@@guerom1367 That's awesome.
This review is wack
Thank you.
