Simone Weil is the Greatest Woman and the Greatest Christian Philosopher of the 20th Century! Everything in her is so deep, real, authentic - she is a little New Jesus Christ!
God bless Her! She is Divinely Pure and God-inspired in Everything!

I enjoyed the lecture. But at the 42:55 mark, it's inaccurate to say that for Weil the revelation is "not truth, not some ethical code, it's beauty." Weil was far too much of a Platonist to drive any wedge between the three transcendentals of the good, the beautiful, and the true. They each entail the other. In their absolute form, they are convertible terms (e.g., the good *is* beauty; beauty *is* truth, etc., where "is" denotes an ontological identity). She is, however, averse to any experience or knowledge of God that is derived from mere reasoning alone (as in some theistic proofs), so that's correct. Also, there is good testimony that Weil was baptized on her death bed. Eric Springsted, America's leading Weil specialist, writes about it in the first chapter of Spirit, Nature and Community (SUNY Press), an excellent book.
