This game is something else. It has everything: love and sorrow, hatred and fear, passion, mystery! It was a little life we all experienced. Masterpiece!
It makes me sad that many players refuse to play Witcher 1 because it´s "ugly", "too old" or because "Combat is garbage". But for me it´s still one of the best RPGs I´ve ever played.
Because it is! It's minor shortcomings are overshadowed by it's great strenghts - the atmosphere, storytelling, immersion and the music (best from all three). Definitely something magical about it.
No worries Mr. Goldfinch. I played Witcher 3 and absolutely loved it. Best game I have ever played. I then had to play Witcher 1 and 2 after that as well and loved them as well. Incredible stories sure each game has its own flaws but I was amazed by how far the game has come along and in each game that joy I get with playing these incredible games.
i love the whole Witcher universe like you wouldn't believe. But the first game holds a special place in my heart. The atmosphere, the cutscene art, the music, those "sex cards". Just running randomly in the rain and listening to the music was something special. I know the game is old, the fighting system is weird, and it has its flaws, but goddamn i feel like its perfect just the way it is. All you Witcher fans who came here and had read my cheesy comment take care of yourselves, you guys are awesome
Witcher 1 had that special something that no other game, not even Witcher 3 has. in part, it's also due to being an older, smaller game, and yet the atmosphere was god damn briliant, apart from the obvious lack of good voice acting and character models. But the passion was there, 100%. And somehow it felt way more rustic than witcher 3. As a romanian, east european, I loved the atmosphere in witcher 1, and played it after I played the other 2, and out of all the 3 games, it's Witcher 1 I yearn to replay the most. Yes, you adorable bad game, I want to replay you!
+Qwytzylkak Nostalgia too, but Witcher 1 has for sure the best and most climatic soundtrack. It has so many great tracks.. And exploring tracks are much longer than in W3... And this main theme, which they They copied in W3 anywhere they could...
I was only 7 when my father showed me this game. I was so in love with it, watching him play for hours and constantly reading the bestiary when he was away from his computer. Even though he's gone, I still feel at home hearing this soundtrack.
Damn! The same story here, but I got my computer shortly and finally played. I didn't finish it when I was a child, because it was too scary for me then.
Witcher 1 definitely had the best music and atmosphere and the closest feels to the books... What an amazing game, one of my favorite gaming experiences for sure.
Say what you want, but to me, the music of the first game is by very far the best of the whole saga. The Witcher 3 has a great soundtrack (even in the DLC Blood and Wine some songs are inspired in the first game), but the first game music has something magic, something that is not easily found in any other game soundtrack. Very touching at all moments, makes you feel inspired every second. A true masterpiece of music history, and the best to listen while you are reading the books saga as I am doing now. Perfect. Just pure magic.
its so cool. I didn't play this game for a long time, but i still recognize every place from the pictures. Great trilogy, which became standard for all future rpg games.
The amount of work that went into building Witcher 1's world was positively INSANE. Graphically outdated even by then's standard but the immersion stand on its own till today.

I don't know how to explain it Games always were like a safe place to me, and while i hear music from Witcher i feel like i am finally safe from this world, i feel calm and relaxed, teary in my eyes in a good way. People who never played this game because it's too "old", you guys should play. The atmosphere, it's just everything....
It brightens my day to recognice not being alone with the love for witcher 1. Although i really like part 2 and 3, Witcher 1 catches the atmosphere of the books in such a brilliant way. The whole game creates such an immersive world in the way it uses music, light effects and dialogues. This partially really dark and partially very peaceful atmosphere cannot be found in the further Witcher games.
It's an absolute crime that this isn't the first soundtrack that pops up when you search The Witcher. Such an absolute masterpiece of a soundtrack and game as a whole!
Oh man. River of Life is so peaceful. I left the game because I could never understand the mechanics but now I continue and got to Chapter IV and it's beautiful.
I say as a man who read all books about witcher and playing in all witcher games: Witcher 1 it s best game about geralt. I love she for atmosphere and book style. It s not for everyone, but this game can show you real witcher. i now about mistakes in this game however its my favorite one ( and these songs...)
I feel like it conveys the atmosphere present in the books the best of the whole trilogy, it's the least polished of the bunch but also one that made the strongest impression on me

Hi there, I'm glad you like it. Indeed, it's something I experience to, that the soundtrack supports the memories very strong in the Witcher series. The games will always maintain a high emotional value to me, which exposes itself whenever I hear the music. Kind regards,
Well witcher 1 gameplay wasn't the best. Once past the key binding, it is actually really easy fighting (just rhythm). W2 controls on keyboard and mouse are good (less visceral than on gamepad, but I coudln't use the gamepad due to my way of playing), and yes the fighting is ahrder but it is deeper and more interesting. In witcher 3 I am using a gamepad, the keyboard and mouse is too hard to handle there for me and it works perfect. The game is hard (I always play witcher in hard settings) but it is fun. Good luck in your path

When i bought this game. It was 8000 HUF... It was a miracle that I met with this piece of virtual environmental art. For me that is a form of valid art. Before this activities that made me allow to play computer games. I felt myself for a lot of times alone under my childhood. In my live I was very unpopular, had nobody as a friend or play-mates. I was driven away by others, only by hatred, misunderstanding or by jealousy. Just my older cats and dogs had, whom played with me. Also, when my brother are brought to me a computer, where i was driven down my daily dose of stress via different games, because of school bullying. Like with the Witcher 1 with Hungarian voice-acting and texts. Its mood was motivated me and made me stronger. I was started to doing exercise by my own decision for 2 years and 2 months. Also I discovered more themes about social dynamics, socio-environment, economics in detail and a lot of other stuff. Given to me a true education with its story. I had graduated in Highschool in 2012. I was unemployed through long years. Until 2017 I had a lot of difficulties to make myself funded via welfare, via part-time jobs, but all the times I had so little successes in real life. That driven me back to my computer and had some replicating successes under the times of sorrow. In 2017 i was worked as a doorman in my local village's elementary school. For 5 months, but my contract was expired. The hard times had returned and made me realize that I need to be specialized in field of expertise. In 2018 and 2019 I was earned my exams in security guard and office clerk craftsmanships. So since that time, many things was happened with me. Many of my times was worked as a security guard/doorman. In 2020 I work as a security guard again in a facility. It gives to me more viewpoint, where I can go, because still I don't know, what I can work as such person, who am I. I just moving with the flow as Geralt does in the games. I only learned from the Witcher games that live has its purity and relative stance towards situations and decisons. I understood that I am humane and be more benolevent than usual humans do. It is given to me the peace and abundant amounts of memories.
Watched the whole thing without doing something else in the meantime. Looked at all the pictures. Beautiful. Even the first game gives me chills. I love this franchise.
Music in Witcher 1 has the same energy that has TES music. Something simple yet so charming and mysterious. Maybe it's just me, but man how I love the first witcher.
If there is any game, any game at all, where I really care for the characters as if for real persons close to me, this is The Witcher. And it's second part. And especially its third installment. Fantasy genre, yet the game is so deep and immersive that I felt like Geralt is my best friend literally. CD Projekt created something extraordinary!
Been coming back to this marvellous playlist for 4 years now. Also, the footage matches the music so right! The game's ambience is simply on another level.
this is one of best music background and I can´t imagine the Witcher 1 game without it, this music made a transcendental experience throught an unrealistic but not so unreal world of fantasy.... great work !!!
I'm so glad I started the saga from game one. Every decision, every consequence... Its beautiful soundtrack echoes inside you even after shutting down PC. This game has changed me in some ways... I will not forget it. A tip for those who haven't played it yet: in case of doubt, side with nature.
I'm on Act 3 right now and in heaven. I played it once when it came out, but never saw the ending. Now that im older and have read all the books and played the other 2 games, I find myself completely immersed in Witcher 1. It's just so damn atmospheric. I love it do death. Cheers from Texas bro : )
I played to this game a very long time ago ! I barely remember the story, but your mix brings back the feelings I had when I was playing this game. Thanks to you I have to look into my old games, find The Witcher, install it, and play it again !
Peaceful moments is the best music of this game. So relaxing and give you a feeling of hope. A feeling that youre standing in city full of hustle and bustle.
Thank you for making this! I've been listening this and the other Witcher music compilations from your channel while reading the first book, the Last Wish.
Played this game out of the blue, without knowing anything about the Witcher. The gameplay was a bit odd at times, but the writing, from the main plot, to sidequests and little details was so good!
This game, albeit clunky and showing age, has a different feeling and vibe. The feeling of achieving the calm after weathering storms felt so satisfying and peaceful. Not to mention the fascinating story and lore. Deserves a remake.
I'm still in love with this game and every so often I feel the need to return to it, like to an old home. I know they're remaking it or something and I can only pray they try to recapture the magic of it, which was in the music in so many ways.
I started playing Witcher 1 since months ago, and It doesn't matter if it's old or the combat is point and click, the storyline is fabulous. Oh I can't describe it in words really... The whole game and the story it self is extremely well and it just gives me a lot of chills and Nostalgia feeling that I am not able to describe. In fact, the way it's made point and click makes me remember "Drakensang" I doubt anyone knows it or maybe some people know it, but It's been my first RPG game since my childhood, and Witcher 1 completely made me remmeber it, and it gave me a lot of joy while playing it every few days to continue my storyline. I am thinking about posting the gameplays for a great memories.
Reminds me of back when The Witcher just came out and I sometimes played it the whole day. Awesome soundtrack to awesome game, and thank you for this wonderful mix!
Exploring Kaer Morhen for the first time while that first track played in the background was something else, I have never felt such wonder and awe in a game, I was instantly captivated. I’m onto the Witcher 2 now and am loving it, and obviously cannot wait till I get to Witcher 3, I’m also going to read the books as soon as I have finished ASOIAF for the second time, but anyway, this game is beautiful and a real work of art.
Best soundtrack ever along with the third game soundtrack! And perfect to listen to while you are reading the books, that's what I am doing right now. The mystic vibe is absolutely overwhelming. Pure magic. I just love this soundtrack. It is beyond words. Pure magic indeed.
That soundtrack... I miss for that fill which i had when i played the Witcher for the first time. This piece of art give me so much emotions that i never felt before. So long time ago. And still makes me fill so peaceful and calm.
God how wonderful it is seeing so many people in love with this indescribably beautiful soundtrack. People who love it so much as I do. Love all of you guys, hope yall doing well.
Witcher 1 was always very important part of my life and I think it always will be. In fact Witcher 1 was my first game I mean complex game on CD u know before that as a kid I had been playing only online games on webside. When I bought Witcher i were 11 and now 7 years passed and I'm still replaying this game every year.
I absolutly love how you have paired the songs with the images @Prestigious_Gaming Your music selections are my favorite on TH-cam and something that I listen to almost daily. Thank you for uploading such great material
I loved the first game, also played the second, but until now, whenever I started playing the third, I quit pretty quickly and went back to replaying the first part. I just love the atmosphere so much. Well, currently I'm back at playing 3, maybe I'll stick with it this time :D
I was late to the Witcher party, finally played in 2018, I determined to play from part one to part three because I want to know the story and not missed a thing, glad I did.
I need to see more games like these. Beautiful art design, touching soundtrack, great storyline and memorable characters. Witcher Saga truly is one of the best games i ever played.
The music is so simple yet complex, it is the perfect set of songs to kickstart the story of Geralt as a Witcher in this fabled world. A glimpse into the world and its inhabitants would quickly tell you that there is much more than what meets the eye, a rich world with a great story. I urge people to try the Witcher 1 even though it is difficult to get into due to its age and its legendary successors, Witcher 2 and 3. I am quite fond of this game due to its parallels with old school artworks that were all drawn by hand; things such as anime, comics, and trading card games. A hurrah to a golden age of ideas all executed in its most primal form.
I'm playing this game, after play the Witcher 3, and I'm loving. The music, ambience, peace, wisdom and solitude of the game are fucking lessons to bring to real life.
So happy many of these tracks are still to be found in Witcher 3. The Witcher 3, being somewhat of a Renaissance of the series, not only feeling but also sounding like it's grandfather.
I don't know how to feel about the remake. This game deserves to be loved in wider circles, but I'm afraid that with the remake it will lose exactly what is its quintessence: its mystery and that elusive atmosphere that is its own.
I played that gamw with my friend when we were like 12. We played using the touchpad, as noobs we had no idea how fighting worked in that game so we were Just doing random thinfs to fight, game was hard and that much scarrier for us because of that. We didint know how to use map so in order to do the mission with chapels in the 1rst act we were just running randomly through the location, looking for them, scarried to death and then finding those little moments of cozinnes once back in that tovern in the middle. Relive that once again, what an utmost joy it would be.

13:00 The Gifth of Aerondight by the Lady of the Lake *-* . Thank you so much for bringing back such powerfull memories !
You're welcome, that scene was so epic supported with the song, as do a lot of memories in the Witcher series.
Kind regards,
Which is my favorite gothic dark love it
I come back here after a stressful day just to listen to this and relax. Magical.
This is why the first game is the best one
Yeah. Atmosphere and music from W1 are the best.
There are Several reasons actıally but yes W1’s soundtracks is the one of them
And this ominous fell.
It never ceases to amaze me how much better game music is over film music
Watched the whole thing without doing something else in the meantime. Looked at all the pictures. Beautiful. Even the first game gives me chills. I love this franchise.
17:07 two things come to my mind whenever I hear this music, me playing in a rainy afternoon and my grandma may she rest in peace I miss her everyday
yo
Music in Witcher 1 has the same energy that has TES music. Something simple yet so charming and mysterious. Maybe it's just me, but man how I love the first witcher.
TES, Witcher and Fable games are titans of RPG music. Masterpieces!
If there is any game, any game at all, where I really care for the characters as if for real persons close to me, this is The Witcher. And it's second part. And especially its third installment. Fantasy genre, yet the game is so deep and immersive that I felt like Geralt is my best friend literally. CD Projekt created something extraordinary!
do not forget about the witcher books
Did you saw the 10th anniversary trailer? I cried during every second because Geralt was breaking the 4th wall
Silver Sword is something else man, as beautiful and divine as Peace of Akatosh from Oblivion.
THE BEST GAME EVER. Just finished it today like 5th time after over 10 years, AMAZING experience..thank You CD PROJEKT!
I played to this game a very long time ago ! I barely remember the story, but your mix brings back the feelings I had when I was playing this game. Thanks to you I have to look into my old games, find The Witcher, install it, and play it again !
Ah, welcome witcher my old friend

Hey Zoltan . I need your help
Peaceful moments is the best music of this game. So relaxing and give you a feeling of hope. A feeling that youre standing in city full of hustle and bustle.
Βest games, Best music, best mixes...plus best profile pic!
Я слышу это, и хочу вновь погрузиться в мир ведьмака 1! Это волшебно!
Indeed it is friend
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for this video! I have listened to it at least a hundred times. Pure magic. I love Witcher 1`s atmosphere. It takes me to another world.
thank you so much for doing these !
Chen the new king With pleasure! ;)
Are you planning to do one for The Witcher 2?
Normally yes, but I will need some time. ;)
All the time you need ! Thank you much !
Looks like the song in itself narrating and old legend. Mystic and peaceful. Deep and soulful.
Composer Adam Skorupa did the job well. Awesome soundtrack, one of the best of mine.
2021? Witcher 1 is my favourit Witcher, hope they remasterd it...
Eddit the Music is absolutely stunning!
your spelling is absolutely stunning
oh dem memories... *wipes tear drop from eye*
Thank you for making this! I've been listening this and the other Witcher music compilations from your channel while reading the first book, the Last Wish.
UnlimitedTrapFinland Hey there, it's gladely done. I use them for reading the books too, it creates a good atmosphere while reading. :)
Kind regards,
Played this game out of the blue, without knowing anything about the Witcher. The gameplay was a bit odd at times, but the writing, from the main plot, to sidequests and little details was so good!
Truly mesmerizing! Witcher music from all three games is just sublime.
Amazing...its deeper than W2 and W3, dunno something mystical and antient +also also kinda sad and dark. I love the 12:24 part
that part is the happiest I strongly disagree
This is the perfect music to get me through the workday. Although now I think I need to go play The Witcher 1 again for the millionth time.
This game, albeit clunky and showing age, has a different feeling and vibe. The feeling of achieving the calm after weathering storms felt so satisfying and peaceful. Not to mention the fascinating story and lore. Deserves a remake.
I hope the remake cdr just announced will keep this mysterious vibe
I'm still in love with this game and every so often I feel the need to return to it, like to an old home. I know they're remaking it or something and I can only pray they try to recapture the magic of it, which was in the music in so many ways.
to jest takie piękne :(
wciąż i zawsze:)
I am thinking about posting the gameplays for a great memories.
yo. the moment when you get arrested after going into wyzima was such a plot twist :D
just finished part 1-and for me it still beats most of the games these days!epic masterpiece!!!
Reminds me of back when The Witcher just came out and I sometimes played it the whole day. Awesome soundtrack to awesome game, and thank you for this wonderful mix!
Artalus94 I'm glad you like it, You're welcome. ;)
13:00 ця мелодія настільки прекрасна, що хочеться плакати
Вміють поляки, коли хочуть.
Это шедевр,в котором словно хочется окунуться ещё раз
That soundtrack... I miss for that fill which i had when i played the Witcher for the first time. This piece of art give me so much emotions that i never felt before. So long time ago. And still makes me fill so peaceful and calm.
there something stronger in witcher 1 music than the other entry in the franchise
There something stronger in witcher 1 game than the other Entry in the franchise'''

12:59 In a world dominated by scorn and meanness, true love can still work wonders. Lost causes are worth the struggle. A fairy tale…
This music is the absolute bomb for school work or study sessions.
God how wonderful it is seeing so many people in love with this indescribably beautiful soundtrack. People who love it so much as I do. Love all of you guys, hope yall doing well.
I've listened to this so many times now, I can't even count.
One of the best games ever
Я играл все три части, но из из игры для себя в основном выделил саундтреки, люблю засыпать под них, спасибо композиторам, вы просто БОЖЕСТВЕННЫ
Loved your mix, reminded me of peacuful moments spent in The Witcher series! Great work!
Thank you, these peaceful moments in a dark world were so precious and memorable. One of the aspects which mades the games so great!
I listen to that everyday while writing my Ph.D. dissertation. Always a blast.
Passed my exam! Witcher 3 B&W I can finally play you while relaxing!
Witcher 1 was truly a unique game.
Shani is an absolute goddess. One of my favorite characters from the series.
Also yaevinn he is really underrated but definetly my fav
They should have stayed together. She's the only one that didn't treat Geralt like shit
I hope in the remake they keep the music but add to it
Великая игра,великий саундрек , рад что я играл в это
10 years of Witcher. Time flies by eh?

I absolutly love how you have paired the songs with the images @Prestigious_Gaming Your music selections are my favorite on TH-cam and something that I listen to almost daily. Thank you for uploading such great material
I loved the first game, also played the second, but until now, whenever I started playing the third, I quit pretty quickly and went back to replaying the first part. I just love the atmosphere so much. Well, currently I'm back at playing 3, maybe I'll stick with it this time :D
:) just like me
The atmosphere is *AMAZING!* 😃
My favourite game since 2007 one and only the best for all eternity!
Witcher 1 Enhanced Edition
4:32 just gives me chills
So happy many of these tracks are still to be found in Witcher 3. The Witcher 3, being somewhat of a Renaissance of the series, not only feeling but also sounding like it's grandfather.
With this game my passion for playing and programming of video games began ;_; the feels
This is by far your best mix. Wiedzmin 1 uber alles.
The Coast soundtrack!!! My fav one! Always felt something like a special connection to that location
Pure greatness thank you for this ❤
I don't know how to feel about the remake. This game deserves to be loved in wider circles, but I'm afraid that with the remake it will lose exactly what is its quintessence: its mystery and that elusive atmosphere that is its own.
It won’t be as good, especially on UE5 which runs like dog water despite all the features, if they keep this music it has a chance, we’ll see.
I love these artworks on loading screens
The first song is so good! Thanks for sharing this!
Hey there, indeed I like the mood the song sets, you're welcome!
Kind regards,
I played that gamw with my friend when we were like 12.
