Please keep these up, they're insightful and inspiring. Getting a career in Maths is a tricky and intricate path (it seems so), yet these videos make the path seem flexible and accessible.

I love this series “Path to Math”, and thank you for making such inspiring videos.
But I was wondering, is it just a coincidence or uploading a video about a Ukraine mathematician in the midst of the ongoing war in Ukraine displays a kind of hypocrisy? 🧐🧐
I suppose, there won’t be a video about a Russian mathematicians “path to math”….

Actually, it is a complete coincidence (that I am slightly ashamed of - it is a happy video in such horrible times). But I assure you that if it were not a coincidence, you would also witness the rage of the aforementioned Ukrainian mathematician about the current events.

Glad to hear you love the series, Vova! I’m Jordan, the show producer, and I can tell you we profiled a brilliant Russian mathematician, Sergey Cherkis, 6-months ago. You can watch Sergey’s episode here: th-cam.com/video/ipXKvMuqiu8/w-d-xo.html
FYI, we filmed Svitlana’s episode in November 2021, along with a scholar from Uruguay (Agustin Moreno) and the US (John Urschel). Previous episodes included a scholar from Guyana (Terrence Blackman) and South Korea (Jinyoung Park). Episode premieres are not based on world events, but rather editing schedules.
