El poblado de Xpujil, ya en el corazón de la Reserva sobre la carretera, se encuentra preparado para recibir al turismo de manera cómoda, ya que ofrece todos los servicios. Sin embargo, como es el caso de muchos lugares más que ya hemos visitado, este sector cuanta con grandes limitaciones en cuanto al aumento en el número de turistas, principalmente a lo referente al manejo de los residuos sólidos así como contaminación de agua.
