I know what Millie's talking about, kind of. I forget what they're called, but it's one of those ways on how people will show their affection. Like there's people that will do it by giving gifts, doing nice gestures, or in this case by lovingly touching them. And by touching, they don't really mean it like just in a sexual way since you can show affection to loved ones that aren't your romantic partner. It's more like holding hands, hugging, kissing them on the cheek, etc. I wish I remembered the proper name for them because I remember there being like 6 different affection styles and stuff like that (maybe more).

People say a lot about their preferences and lifestyle as lovers but if you are in love with someone I think some of that preference would change either as soon as they get a partner or after some time. You don't have the person you love just yet and assuming that you would be a certain way against a person you didn't even know who yet is close to impossible to actually correctly imagine. By meeting a certain person your traits and way of thinking might change for better or for worse either consciously or unconciously. She may still dislike being hugged while sleeping or maybe not.
