I truly understand her Dad though. He sacrificed a lot in his life to make sure his kids had semi-decent lives, and because of their culture he probably got shit on a lot. So to be able to basically say "Everything I suffered for was worth it, and you all doubted me and THEM" is a HUGE point of pride.

Depends on where in the world you are. In EU it is a workers right to discuss salaries and cannot be suppressed by NDA’s. In the US it depends on state legislations, and if the NDA is specifically covering Salary or not. In some states a company could try to cover it with NDA, but if it would hold up in court is a different matter as NDA’s have been watered down in recent case law.
What you say to your family is up to you, but it’s always a good idea to check your contract and make sure salary is not covered under nda. It is not i. The employees best i terest to not be able to discuss salaries and compensations.

And everytime there's a family gathering she'd say something along the lines of "Oh god it's hot here. How do we sleep later?" And my mom would just say "Ouh it'll get colder by night" i could see how sad she was. But now we're better off on money and my parents could brag about my sister's job and recently she got married and her husband had a superbike(Which is rare for an asian to have) so they get to brag about that, and my aunty who used to look down on us, they had some financial problems these past few years, but they're getting better now. Had a feeling that's where it was going when she was covering by calling herself a 'manager.' When it came to light that she's doing well, the conclusion that will be reached by most laymen is that she's some sort of combination Talent Scout/Networking Guru/Upper Office Executive.
Her unwillingness and inability to give details about her position then magnifies the issue further; when you leave a gap open in information, most people will unconsciously fill it in themselves with whatever is most convenient to them.
Taking these all together, in their heads she basically becomes someone who's job it is to make people's dreams come true - and everyone has dreams. So what does that make her become when she inevitably can't actually do that for them? Someone who's pulled the ladder up behind themselves.
In reality, Michi can't magically do all of these things, of course. She can afford to cover some nice things for people she cares about, but she works very hard to be able to do that for them; it's no drop in the bucket for her. She's keenly aware how easily things could get spoiled for her by the wrong people knowing the right things... good luck convincing dreamers that you aren't a golden goose, though.
In the end, she's stuck between a rock and a hard place. She wants to help but can't for reasons she can't explain to them - and like mentioned before, people will fill in the missing information with whatever they want to think.

21:00 basically they want you to give a spot in the company like a garunteed position with '0' effort, props to you for shutting them down once you start helping them theyll ask more and more and to the point theyll be independent on you and once you stop all hell will break loose. I've been there and i will not ever do that again.

Sounds like a typical family, some proud, some interested and some not, one or two wanting free stuff.

If any of your family think being an influencer is easy, just tell them that you specialize in comedy, and that half the time, you're the punchline. It requires a very delicate relationship with your audience for that not to destroy your mental health.

This is extremely familiar to me. Growing up in the lower end of the working class, the minute you get money your own family and friends begin to resent you. It's just the way it is. I wish it wasn't the case, but that's just unfortunately the way people are.

Just hearing how supportive her parents are to her, even when back when she just joined fashion major, before she starts to get higher in her job(sorry idk how to explain it). It almost makes me cry seeing how hard her dad is trying to defend his daughter. Always love a loving parents!
