I applied to the CAF last month, awaiting my medical and aptitude in Sudbury. I'm 33, a bit older but I felt like I was going to regret it if I didn't apply. This gets me so pumped!
Fuck yeah, boysh. I'll be finishing upgrading my education and submitting my application to the army infantry at the end of June in a few weeks here. Can't wait to be part of the great big machine
I miss my time at 1 RCR. 19 good years dedicated to excellence in those halls. Now, as a CAF recruiter, I hold a special place for those who stick with the process, especially infanteers. Cheers and Pro Patria.
Wow, underrated channel fr. This needs more attention, love the CAF always wanted to join waiting for an application window at my local recruiting Centre, so you can record and document your deployments and training? always wanted to do that... love to see it more videos please!

Well put together video. As an member myself, it is sad to see what our military has become. As a side note, Drones have forever changed the life of mechanized infantry for the worse. I hope the CAF find a way to effectively improve battlefield survivability of our 'grunts' on the front lines.
Gotta say, seeing those footage motivate me even more to finish my necessary school credit to enter CAF. Handling a LMG's sounds so fun ! Can't wait to get into BMQ.
Awesome! I miss the Army sooooooo much, I remember being the 1st platoon to get cadpat at basic in st.jean in 2004, we thought we were hot shit HAHAHA!
As someone who has already applied to the military, and has been waiting to get in, these videos, have brought me a lot of happiness and satisfaction knowing The things I would want to do when joining the military would be what I would actually be doing. (I also have a question in the Canadian Armed Forces. Do we use night vision goggles? If so, could you tell me which type that we use? I’m just curious.)

I just have applied this month and now just waiting to do my CFAT and TSD. Still not 100% sure what occupation I would like to do I was thinking MP Officer but I did not see it while submitting my 3 preferred jobs. (I submitted Public Affairs, Infantry and Armored) Hope to see more videos from you because you and Parrie Sailor have played a big part in me trying out for CAF.
Hey Josh! I have 0 military experience but more recently have been considering joining the CAF. I always assumed for one to film stuff like this , you must have had some previous service or currently serving with them to get to film the fun stuff like this, right? If i joined the CAF , how would one go about requesting to record one of these Ops? I have tons of previous experiences with photo and video / editing and this lines up perfectly with what i think i can offer our country other than being a grunt with a rifle! Much love and respect from Ottawa, Ontario 🤙
As an Infantry Officer, all of this footage was grabbed from my cell phone or Go Pro. If you want to pursue a career dedicated to photo/video capture and editing, then you want to look at being an Image Tech. Also, look into becoming a Public Affairs Officer. These are actively serving military positions. For additional information, look into Combat Camera.
Assistant Range Safety Officers. Anytime we are doing live fire, we need guys who follow behind and ensure people aren't accidently point guns at each other or shooting each other. The stick is a tool of measurement for arcs of fire and, if necessary, a blunt object to correct someone.
After BMQ as a NCM infanteer - where do you go? I read online after bmq you go for a 17 week long course, Is this true? If you could outline exactly how everything goes that would be great!
If you only want to do three years, then that's fine! If you end up really liking it you can stay in. Otherwise it's great experience to have on a resume!
We should really digitize alot of the organizing electronics and whatnot you guys use. Every vehicle from countries like the US and Israel nowadays has its own system for that purpose. Im not sure why Canada doesnt.
Liberal government thinks it's more important to punish hate speech online and call everyone that dont agree with them racist misogynists, than modernize the military.
i must ask, would you acually commit to attacking the room after the staircase irl? it seems like a waste of lives to try to push that fatal funnel. would it not be better to frag the room or destroy the building?

They’re not removing it. The expedited application trial allows you to write your test after bmq. The E.A.T is only applicable to certain trades (infantry being one of them).
When I was applying for the infantry Iast year around this time, I mentioned to the officer that I want to fight for God as God’s soldier, but he said I have to fight for Canada. Yea he’s asking me to put the country first before God which is a great violation of God’s administrative decree that says I should put God first and last, nobody second or third. So I withdraw on my application. I don’t want to take part in that satanic motive. Now, God put the CAF in death spiral and more soldier quitting than applying. This is what he said: “ I need to clarify something. You will not be a soldier of god. You will be a Canadian Soldier. Part of the process you go through to get enrolled is to confirm that you will be able and willing to fight in any government sanctioned war or military operation, and as a military member you must do so regardless of your own personal, political, or religious beliefs. As you are phrasing your answer “A soldier of God” you seem to be trying to put your own beliefs ahead of the commitment to Serve Canada before Self.” Canada before God? Don’t think so warrant officer.
Great video...until 7:29. As a tradition that may seem innocuous, but an appeal to "god" has no place in today's Canadian Forces. The ideals it represents should be honoured and upheld, but there is no need for an appeal for some "god's" blessing...indeed that appeal weakens those values by implying they are imposed, instead of chosen and defended.
Whats with the ammo wasting? Dumping mags into paper targets 2 meters away and firing through a bush that cant been seen through. And why don't you wear winter uniforms in winter?
@@MrDougpeach In war you shoot someone until they stop moving, in training shooting a target twice at point blank will help as much as shooting it 20 times.

As a dragoon I have to say, I love to see the LAV’s go to work. Clean video tho, this will definitely pull in a lot of new infantry recruits 👊
