- Left Thailand and moved onwards and upwards to Laos Luang Prabang! Laos the country just north of Thailand and formerly a part of Thailand, shares many similarities and some obvious differences from one another.
In this video, i show you my journey getting to Luang Prabang and how my first day went exploring like a complete noob. Beautiful, old and cultural city, up in the north of Laos.

Great vid BB (Apart from the last part) ... You certainly flew into the heart of Laos ... I went to Vientiane from Udon Thani Thailand for a visa. Can't say much was happening at Vientiane that I could find but took some interesting photos of Laos buildings etc nevertheless ... Much more was happening at Udon Thani and had a great bar scene (pre covid anyway) and ended up staying an entire wild Leo and Sangsom & coke week!

Nice first time Laos tourist vid, the drone shots were great. I'm glad you enjoyed the Beerlao, I did too when over there. Plenty of lunatics at the bowling ally and taxi trip home but you kept your nerve as always.

Laos is everything Thailand was 40 yrs ago. Best place to go is the north in my opinion. Up by the Chinese frontier.
Accommodations should run you about 7 to $15 USD. that's if you're not to picky
Laos is like Thailand keep your feet down in all situations my friend. Even feet up on a Tuk-tuk is frowned upon!
I been travelling Asia +10 years and I have seen foreigners get 🔪 for less than that.
p.s. If anybody goes to Asia, please don't be an idiot, don't make it more difficult for you and for us.
