Maybe. I didn't like Tara at first but after I watched season 4 - 6 again, she was my favourite character. In season 5 - 6. But Dawn was just a complete brat in season 5 - 6, always thinking everything was about her. They should have made an episode where Buffy just had enough of Dawn and told her off, but I guess that would ruin the concept of Buffy and Dawn. Season 7 Dawn's character got better, though.
I'm convinced they made her an unbearable twerp to take the edge off her getting horribly maimed and cursed on a weekly basis, but then the FCC got in the way and they had to hastily write out everything but the kidnapping stuff. But hey, at least she's not boring and perfectly nice like Tara. They should have killed them off or dumped them on Angel in season 5. (Wow, I'm a jerk to fictional characters.)

Dawn is so annoying all she wants is to be the spotlight of every single problem she needs to get over herself ! I understand she wants to spend time with Buffy and all but REALLY ?!

kat543 there’s a line in ‘walk through the fire’ where Willow says ‘I think this line’s mostly filler!’ And she begged Joss Whedon to not have any lines in the show, so she doesn’t! It’s quite interesting and it’s cool that she has a line in the song that says that because it’s more of a real life thing.
