Skid Row has been around since the 1930s and doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon.

In Angola there are hardly any homeless people. The streets are completely clean.
I find it hard to believe this is the United States.

They are mostly drug addicts and dual diagnosed with other medical issues often to do with the psychiatric field.
Califronias problem as nothing to do with the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. It has everything to do with the closure of state hospitals and our lack of laws that protect those who cannot help themselves and laws that are actually enforced.
Fix all that and then you can come back and actually engage in a conversation on your topic.

I live in California for 26 years i moved to Neveda last years 2023. California used to have 6k homeless when i move to california in 1997. Now homeless people almost 200k. California homeless people keep rising everyday it getting worst not getting better.

actually there were alot more homeless people out there when obama was president , skid row and other parts of LA had 5 times the amount of homeless people out there compared to now . I live 20 minutes from skid row and i have been living her all my life .

I was just out in LA for work a couple of months ago... the homeless situation there is mind boggling. Almost every single side street has RVs or tents, or people living in a makeshift cardboard/plywood hovel. Needles and human waste and garbage... They're going to get cholera outbreaks and that kind of thing. Totally failed state/local government and high taxes that'll keep going up until it's a 100% homeless busted state.
Just another example of the diabolically/destructive cess pool democratic😈 party ideology syndrome policies. 😉.

That's simply not true. Obviously skid row is a no-go, but I literally took the AV metrolink line to union then the A line to little tokyo and walked to the arts district. Never once did I feel unsafe. It was clean, lots of people out. I was pleasantly shocked. DTLA is improving, and it deserves credit for doing so. Comments like this thwart social progress for the area.

Your country has around 5 million people and 40 million livestock? Among the 50 states that make up the United States, California alone has 40 million, so on the most basic level it's a question of how many can limited resources support? Definitely, not 40 million as it stands now.

When I lived in LA in 1989/90 people were eating out of trash cans too, esp in Venice and Downtown. But it wasn`t too hard to get a job making 8-12/hr. A small apartment was 300-400/m. Everybody was working his ass off because everyone was scared ending up on the streets. Seems like hard work isn`t really paying off anymore.

Been in California/ Los Angeles for 27 years and when I was younger didn't no anything or how bad the homeless population was til I became 18 that's when I became homeless and I ended up on skid row from 18-22 and I was Also a volunteer at the union rescue mission even while I was on drugs but I got my first place at 22 started a family and ain't never looked back so fast forward to now I sit here in my home thankful for everything I have

it's bonkers people choose to live there. I just visited for work a couple months ago. In a nice suburb of LA, still homeless camped out all over. There'd be nice residential streets a block away from burnt out RVs. Offices and high tech companies with the whole street packed with homeless camps. If it was ever working in the past, it's not now.

I don't understand how we can send 100s of billions to other countries while this is going on in our backyard. I don't understand either how u can have billonaires while u have people here sleeping on concrete on the streets. Cost of living, especially housing, is extremely high even for the average person in CA. There are a lot of these folks that seem to have mental health issues as well as drug & we lack mental facilities in this country as well as rehabilitation for drugs.
Its not just in US it happening as here,other countries too, are falling,not too far behind. Hear London become as this,like see video,someone do,show there now cant be as bad as this,or can it.
