John mcarthur in 1975 started by believing Jesus Christ alone for salvation, unfortunately he got carried away by different kinds of teachings which is 100% crystal clear if you listen to his statements today he has muddied the water with falsehood. May God have mercy on his soul and John mcarthur returns to his first love JESUS CHRIST ALONE FOR SALVATION.

He took a sabbatical in about 1979. People in his church said he came back with a different message and attitude about salvation. Calvinism got ahold of him. Yes, the Puritans changed him .

Based upon what I’ve researched on MacArthur, I believe he feared a takeover of his church by the Jesus Freaks - led by Lonnie Frisbee in the late to mid 70’s, or various JF groups. Fearing that and based upon what he thought was nationwide carnality, he went on sabbatical and created a different gospel (Gal 1:6-12). Lordship built a revolving gate to heaven, letting in only those who were 100% obedient, sexually pure, conservative, moral. The gate closed on anyone who did not meet those guidelines. The issue wasn’t belief in Christ, but “are you obedient? Moral?” - Billy Graham’s theology on steroids. When his book TGATJ was published, it swept Protestantism like a free electron. Gone was Christ’s death on the Cross, the Cross itself, grace, freewill. Churches now turned inward: believers began judging each others works. Are you elect? Where’s your fruit? “Tom’s daughter is living with her bf, I guess she’s not elect. Her parents haven’t been to church in a week … I guess they are not elect.” Lordship became a blame game. Sold to the Christian mainline for $17.99 a copy, now extant throughout much of the Protestant world. Based upon what I’ve researched - I’m assuming MacArthur feared the hippies and insulated himself and his church from the movement not by preaching the free grace gospel but by creating a new one, a false theology. “Let’s help God.”

My hope is built on nothing less
    Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
    Refrain:
    On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness veils His lovely face,
    I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
His oath, His covenant, His blood
    Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
    Oh, may I then in Him be found;
    Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

Many "scholars" want to make it seem like the Bible is complex and most people need preachers or priests to explain everything to them regarding the Bible and salvation. But the Bible explains to us that even a child understands how salvation works. Maybe more scholars should start thinking like a child.

Jesus REJOICED over what the FATHER did~!
25 At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have HIDDEN these things from the WISE and INTELLIGENT and HAVE REVEALED THEM TO BABES. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless indeed you fail to meet the test!"
If a work of God does not continue than its not a work of God.
If you fall short of the test repent and believe.
Cry out to God for mercy until a work is done
To test yourself to see if you're a real Christian read 1John.
1John 3:3-10 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.
4Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.
      1 John 1:5-7
This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all 6If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
What does it mean to walk in darkness? A style of life.If we say we are a Christian and our lifestyle contradicts everything God has told us about Himself and His will we are a liar.
If our lifestyle contradicts God's character then claiming to be a Christian is a lie. Not talking about unscriptual sinless perfection. Even a very mature Christian is susceptible to sin. Someone that has truly been born again will be sensitive to sin and they will be led to repentance and confession to that sin.
      1 John 1:8-10
IF we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 IF we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 IF we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
When was the last time you were broken over a sin because you knew it was against Gods will?
If you are sensitive to sin it will lead you to confession.
      Galatians 5:24
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
      2 Corinthians 5:15,17
and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
These are the people Jesus is coming for.
      1 Corinthians 15:23
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
IF I sin I cry out to God for forgiveness.
Not only must we confess sin (1John1:9)
but we must forsake it. Run away from it. One old definition of repentance is to leave the sin I've done before, and show I've earnestly grieved by doing it no more.
Too many today are preaching a perverted gospel to make it as palatable as possible. They give them a shot of love and grace without any warning of a looming judgment of hell for any who think because of grace they can continue living no different than before.
Those that believe that a change of conduct [Repenting of sin] is works are making our Lord's death on the cross meaningless.
He didn't die for sins to give a green light to live like a demon.
      Galatians 6:7-8
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
A rebirth in Jesus means a new heart, a new mind, a new spirit, a new person.
      Isaiah 64:5
You come to the help of those who gladly do right,
      who remember your ways.
But when we continued to sin against them,
      you were angry.
How then can we be saved?
IF you love anyone or anything more than Jesus, it's an idol.
IF Jesus preached the way many do today, they wouldn't have crucified Him.

Jesus said clearly that we should examine ourselves in the light of Scripture and see if we are in the faith. Justification is a legal declaration of God that we have been declared just before God on Jesus' merits on the Cross. R.C.Sproul is right. A man who claims that Jesus' righteousness has been transferred to him, needs to live accordingly. He points to the fruits of their faith and that's exactly what Jesus will say to the so-called Christians: I never knew you those of you who lived (lifestyle) in lawlessness. You should preach the whole Gospel, not just a part of it.

Jesus didn't say that, the apostle Paul said that. But, he was being sarcastic because the believers were questioning his apostleship because of the false teachers. He was basically telling them that if they are questioning his salvation they should question their own because they believed the message of the Gospel when he preached it to them. So, if he wasn't saved, neither were they. Right after that he tells them to acknowledge that they have the Holy Spirit and if they don't, he doesn't. If they do, so does he. There is never a reason for a believer to question his salvation. Others might question you, but a believer should KNOW he has eternal life because he has the Holy Spirit.

      The Final Judgment
October 7, 2016 by GES Webmaster in Blog - Bob Wilkin, Final Judgment, Propitiation, Sin, Universal Atonement
      by Zane Hodges
In John’s well-known description of the Final Judgment in Revelation 20:11-14, we do not even find a reference to sins, much less a reference to unforgiven sins. Instead, we are told, “the dead were judged acording to theirworks, by the things which were written in the books” (Rev 20:12; italics added). To be sure, the works of unsaved people contain innumerable sins, but it is still significant that sin per se is not referred to, as we will point out in a moment.
Yet even though unsaved people are judged on the basis of their works, they are not condemned to hell on that basis! On the contrary we read, “Anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire” (Rev 20:15; italics added). People go to hell, therefore, because they do not have life!
This is precisely what we might have concluded from the theme statement of the Fourth Gospel: “but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20:31; italics added). It is also evident in John 5:24 where our Lord states that the believer “shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life” (italics added). We conclude, therefore, that the possession oflife is the critical issue between God and man in terms of eternal judgment. There is no Final Judgment to determine one’s eternal destiny if he already possesses life.
But sin is not the critical issue. Why not? John’s own writings tell us why. According to John, Jesus is “the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29); and “He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world” (1 John 2:2). The hymn writer was correct when he said that “Jesus paid it all”!
So marvelously complete and full is the sacrificial death of Christ for our sins that God’s justice is satisfied by that sacrifice and no man is condemned to hell on the grounds of his sins. But by the same token, the cross of Christ does not automatically regenerate men and women. They still need to obtainlife and this is available to them on one basis only: faith in Christ.
But then, one might ask, why do men’s works come up at all? The reason must surely be that at the Final Judgment mankind will get a full and fair hearing. Since multitudes have supposed that they can reach heaven by their works, these works will be examined on that day. But as Scripture already informs us, no man can be saved by his works (Eph 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Rom 3:20).
The outcome of the final examination of the works of the lost is a foregone conclusion. Any claim to God’s salvation that is based on the deeds a person has done will be swept away by the contents of the books that are opened at the judgment. Man’s one last hope will rest in the Book of Life, which will be duly consulted even though those being judged do not have their names written there. But the absence of their names from its pages is the basis on which the lost are cast into the lake of fire.
Thus one can see that the issue at the Final Judgment is not man’s sin, since Christ has atoned for that in its entirety. Instead, the issue is whether someone can make it into the kingdom of God on the basis of the works they did on earth, apart from the miracle of new birth that comes by faith alone. But as the Lord Jesus informed Nicodemus, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

      @AlvinFen 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Unless your simple Gospel has Jesus as the Christ the giver of eternal life you have no good news. Jesus promise of eternal life is completely OBJECTIVE therefore it brings CERTAINTY. If you add 1 Cor 15:1-4 you’re adding something that is conditioned on persevering “if” you hold fast. Which is written to already born again believers. Jesus promise of eternal life only comes by divine revelation.
See these verses John 6:44-45,65; 12:47-50 when they hear the command the Father gave the Son to speak there is a spiritual resurrection they pass out of death and into life John 5:24-25. Jesus said the hour “now is” that the spiritually dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and live~!
But if you’re not open you’re not going to hear His words the Father gave Him to speak: the command of eternal life.
One is only born again by a revelation from the Father, Jesus is speaking the Fathers words He gave Him to speak.
See Matthew 16:15-23 and John 10:16 Jesus builds His Church by a revelation of Jesus the Christ the giver of eternal life. Jesus told His disciples in Matt 16:20 tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.
They still did not believe that Jesus would die.
What did Paul believe to be saved see 1 Tim 1:15-16 he had received a revelation that Jesus was the Christ the giver of eternal life Gal 1:11-12. This proves that Jesus promise is true…Most assuredly, I say to you he who believes in Me has eternal life.
It’s Jesus promise NOT our promise, and that makes it completely OBJECTIVE so the one who believes has CERTAINTY~!
      Jesus cannot lie~!

We’re saved when we believe Jesus promise of eternal life. It’s His promise not our promise so we have CERTAINTY. Faith in the Gospel of John is seeing Jesus as the Christ the giver of eternal life. That is why John can say in 1 John 5:1a Whoever believes in Jesus as the Christ is born of God.
And this is the promise He promised us-eternal life. 1 John 2:25

If you're unable to be in line with a scripture then that's your fault. You must say the truth at least as Matthew 5:37 says.

Is Having Everlasting Life Different from Living Forever?
January 5, 2022 by Bob Wilkin in Blog - John 3:16, John 6:51, Revelation 20:11-15
I recently heard a new song for John 3:16. The line about everlasting life jumped out at me. In place of “whoever believes in Him has everlasting life,” the lyrics were, “whoever believes in Him will live forever.” Did you notice the difference there?
First, the Lord spoke of the present possession of everlasting life: “whoever believes in Him…has everlasting life.” Whatever it is, the believer has it. There is a future tense in John 3:16. The Lord said that whoever believes in Him will not perish. That is, the believer will not be eternally condemned at the future Great White Throne Judgment because his name is already in the book of life (Rev 20:15). But everlasting life starts the minute one believes, not when one dies or is glorified.
Second, everlasting life is not the same as living forever, at least not in the way most people understand living forever. If by live forever we mean will exist forever, then unbelievers will live forever as Rev 20:11-15 makes clear. They will spend eternity being tormented in the lake of fire. Of course, it is true that this is called “the second death” (Rev 20:14; 21:8). And Paul does say that before God made them alive (Eph 2:5-8), the Ephesians had been “dead in [their] trespasses and sins.” They were alive physically. But Paul calls that being dead. And so does the Lord, as we shall see.
The word death means separation, not cessation of existence. That is clear in both Rev 20:14 and Rev 21:8, both of which say that the second death is being cast into the lake of fire. The first death is physical death. The second death is eternal separation from God’s life and God’s kingdom. The unbeliever will be resurrected (Rev 20:12-13) and then forever will be tormented in the lake of fire.
Everlasting life is the life of Jesus (John 11:25; 14:6; 1 John 1:2; 5:20). He is everlasting life. Those who believe in Him have everlasting life. We will never be that life. But we have it now and we will have it forever. Nothing can reverse the new birth.
The unbeliever does not have that life. And if he dies in unbelief, he will never have that life. In the Biblical sense, unbelievers will not live forever.i
However, I bet you’ve had someone tell you that everyone will live forever and hence everyone has everlasting life. The problem with that argument is that the Bible does not call eternal existence living forever, and it clearly indicates that unbelievers do not have everlasting life.
Third, changing the present possession of everlasting life into a future reality could leave the door open to the idea that the believer will have everlasting life if he perseveres in faith and good works until death. Those who already believe in eternal security would not take “will live forever” that way. But those who do not believe in eternal security would.
Now to the places where the Lord promised that believers will live forever. In John 6:51 the Lord Jesus said, “I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world” (emphasis added). John 6:58 says the same thing. Eating the Bread of Life is a figure of speech for believing in Him for everlasting life.ii
When the Bible speaks of humans who will live forever, it is speaking of those who have everlasting life right now and who will have that life forever. Living forever, Biblically speaking, is not existing forever.iii
(BTW, the expression He who lives forever refers to God in Rev 4:9, 10; 5:14; 10:6; 15:7.)
In addition, the context of John 6 is such that it sheds an important light on what Jesus meant by “will live forever.” Jesus had just fed the 5,000 with bread. They wanted that bread to continue always (John 6:34). Jesus went on to point out that their fathers had eaten bread from heaven, manna, in the wilderness and yet they “are dead” (John 6:58). But, Jesus said, if you eat the Bread of Life, then you will not die, but you will live forever. In this context, living forever is a guarantee of eternal security and it promises the present possession of everlasting life too. Compare John 6:35 and the words will never hunger and will never thirst. See also John 4:10-14. And John 11:26. The Lord not only promises that the believer has everlasting life, but also that he will never die (John 11:26), will never hunger and thirst (John 4:10-14; 6:35), will never perish (John 3:16), will not come into judgment (John 5:24), and will not be cast out (John 6:37).
John 3:16 is a magnificent verse. The Lord guarantees that whoever believes in Him will not perish (= be eternally condemned, John 3:17), but has everlasting life right now as a present possession. Believers will live forever in the sense that they have everlasting life and always will. Unbelievers will have conscious existence forever, but they will only live forever if they come to faith in Christ for everlasting life before they die.
      __________
i Of course, the Bible does use the words live and life to refer to ongoing existence in this life, even of unbelievers. See, for example, life in Gen 1:30; 19:17; Exod 1:14; Lev 19:16; 2 Kings 8:5; Prov 1:19; 1 Cor 6:3-4; 1 Tim 4:8; 2:2. See also the verb live in Gen 11:11-26; Exod 1:16; 22:18; Ps 69:28; 89:48; John 4:50, 51, 53; 11:26a; 1 Cor 7:39. But it never refers to men in general living forever. In Scripture, only believers live forever since only believers have everlasting life.
ii See also the much-misunderstood statement by the Lord, “Do this [keep the Law, that is, love God and love your neighbor] and you will live” (Luke 10:28). That was Jesus’ answer to the question, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” Of course, no one can keep the Law perfectly other than the Lord Himself. The Lord taught that only by believing in Him could someone be born again. But notice that He said that if someone did keep the Law, then he would live. The Lord taught that physically alive people needed to be made alive. That is, they needed His life!
iii Unbelievers will be raised (Rev 20:12-14) and will forever have bodies as well as consciousness and feelings. But that is not being alive forever in the Biblical sense.

All the other books are written to already born again believers.
The born again believers in John 2:23 Jesus would not commit Himself to. That tells us that following Jesus in discipleship is not automatic. Eternal life is REALLY a free gift that MUST be taken freely.

Shift your paradigm. God sees our need. He sees our lives from beginning to end. He isn’t willing that any perish. His salvation is freely given when we believe the gospel.
Anyone who has passed from death into life belongs to Him forever.

So , you're OK with Calvin and the Westminster Confession clearly affirming that the author of all Evil is "God"?
That's an indefensible Theodicy , if one values Exegesis .
I really don't care what Spurgeon , Calvin , MacArthur , Sproul , Washer , James White et al affirm exhaustively , other than to point out that they're clearly Unified in a Monergism that presupposes Monovolitionism .
Monovolitionism is the tacit admission of utter Determinism . Thus , humans are devoid of the capacity to do or think otherwise than wholly determined to do so , with Zero ability otherwise .
Therefore , the Abortion Doctor who delights in hacking little babes to pieces was just as Determined to do so , as the Pro Lifer outside the Abortion Mill holding a Protest against the murder of the Innocents .
Does that make sense in a Universe where the Laws of Logic are Operational ?
The question ought to answer itself .
On Determinism , humans have no Ontological existence , being completely devoid of a sentience not found in Automatons or Robots .
So , on a Determinist view , why would my Rejection of Calvinistic Theological Determinism be any Less caused/authored by this Singular Will than your Monergism?
      Makes no sense .
Reduces to a Cosmic Puppet Show , in actual Fact . Turns humanity into Mear Mannequins .
      *** Here's what I'm unambiguously affirming , in unmistakable terms :
      1. Theological Determinism (Calvinism) is Monovolitionism .
Monovolitionism denotes that only One Will has Responsibility for "all things whatsoever that come to pass" (John Calvin) , including Raping , Torturing , and dismembering babies for Fun .
      2. The Systematic (T.U.L.I.P) wholly rests upon a Secret (thus Unknowable) Decree that determines "all things whatsoever that come to pass" (John Calvin) , as "god " is the Author of Evil itself : including the Fall of Lucifer/Adam and every conceivable Evil until the end of History .
      3. Total inability denotes that humans have no ability to do otherwise than Irresistibly and Unconditionally acted upon , Extrinsically .
Therefore , on Calvinism , regeneration Precedes faith , and only a "Gift of faith"/ repentance that perseveres till death" ( inevitably and inexorably) , only given to "some"... for No Known Reason Whatsoever ... eventuates in "eternal salvation" .
      4. "P"erseverance of the saints clearly affirms that one must Necessarily Hit the Finish Line in a Never Knowable nor Quantifiable level (%) of hopefully good enough behavioral performance (works) /Faithfulness
      Obedience/Fruit that will prove one's "Election" .
The insurmountable Rub remains however : one can Never have Doubtless Assurance of having irrevocable Everlasting Life as a present and endless possession UNTIL the end of one's life .
Therefore , all Subjective tests of one's Performance (Introspective Fruit Inspection) gives the "Best Guess" that one has been "Predestined" by this Singular Will that alone has meticulous Control over "all things whatsoever that come to pass" (Calvin") .
Tops Out at Doubt , rather than Objective certitude (faith/belief) .
Since Calvin taught Double Predestination , all those who Irresistibly , Unconditionally , Inevitably , and Inexorably end in the lake of fire , were also "Elected " to eternal condemnation, without the slightest shred of possibility otherwise .
They were ONLY and ALWAYS created to be damned forever , on Theological Determinism .
How one can have Doubtless Certitude that one was arbitrarily and fortuitously "Elected" via behavioral performance Metrics I simply cannot find articulated in the pages of Scripture .
*** Therefore , Theological Determinism (Calvinism) is the Worst of all possible News , properly understood .
      I remain a Zero Point Calvinist .
I'm an Atheist with respect to the Theological Determinist caricature of the Only True God of love .
Unhappily , it makes many very thoughtful people recoil from the Absolutely Righteous , Holy , Loving , Merciful Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world , that His Free and Never Deserving Gift of Endless Life can indeed be without Cost to all its recipients: John 4:10-14 .
The Biblical God (who cannot lie nor author Evil) loves the whole world so much "that He gave His only Begotten Son , that Whosoever that believes in Him shall not perish but has Everlasting Life" , as a Free and Never Deserving Gift .
Little children can easily understand and believe in Him for what He actually Certifies, instantly having irrevocable Life at that moment .
Because He cannot lie to the little ones , unfettered by years of self righteous hardening against Grace .
      No better News , ever (John 3:16 & Ephesians 2:8-9) .

Why do Christians differ in their religions?
Because , All the prophets and messengers, Abraham, Moses and Jesus,
peace be upon them, spoke Aramaic, not Hebrew. Aramaic is originally Arabic,
because Adam, peace be upon him, the first of the prophets, spoke Arabic, as did
the people who lived thousands of years after him, until the last of the prophets,
Noah, peace be upon him. The last of the prophets from the lineage of Ishmael,
the firstborn son of Abraham, from his wife Hagar, peace be upon them, spoke Arabic.
All the revelation that came down to the prophets was in the Arabic language, then the messengers translated it into the language of their people, and God sent a messenger
to every nation, and their number is approximately: The messengers are three hundred
and some, and the prophets are one hundred thousand and twenty-four thousand.

I would highly recommend you prayerfully study the Gospel of John. It’s the only book in the Bible that has a purpose statement for unbelievers that they may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have LIFE IN HIS NAME. (John 20:30-31)
All the other books are written to already born again believers.
The born again believers in John 2:23 Jesus would not commit Himself to. That tells us that following Jesus in discipleship is not automatic. Eternal life is REALLY a free gift that MUST be taken freely.
One must understand Jesus offer of eternal life in order to believe Him.
Jesus is the ONLY Lamb of God that took away the sin of the world, and made everyone savable (See John 1:29; 3:16-18).

The promise of eternal life, and that is why the Gospel of John never mentions justification one time, but eternal life and life 30 times. The words that will come back and condemn you on the last day is the command of eternal life the Father gave the Son (John 12:47-50). I tend to think, R.C. had in mind people who based their justification before God not on the atonement of Jesus but on other things as tradition, keeping of the law or good deeds. Trust in Christ or trust in the declaration of God that you are considered (it's a legal declaration of God) right before him, not on your merits but on Christ's.

Trusting and believing are not the same.
I believe Bob Wilkin is a real person but since I never had an intimate personal relationship with Bob I can't say I trust in Him.
This is what Jesus is speaking about in Matthew 7:21-23.
These people obviously believed in Jesus as unbelievers wouldn't do those works mentioned that He told us to do. However their belief was superficial,
they did not trust in Jesus making Him Lord and Savior, so He was not their Shepherd since they never had an intimate relationship with Him.
Only those who are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) as a result of repentance are Jesus's sheep and follow him.
Jesus uses the word "knows" as in an intimate way just like that word is used throughout scripture.
They believed repentance is not a requirement, or it's works and conduct was irrelevant to being saved.
Jesus wouldn't refer to what He commanded us to do as iniquity or lawlessness
God didn't know them because they hadn't been regenerated
Jesus say ye worker of iniquity.
    Iniquity is continuous unrepentant sin.
    Psalms 36:12
There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise
    Titus 1:16
They profess that they "know" God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good works reprobate.
    2 Timothy 2:19
Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription
The Lord "knows" those who are his, and, “EVERYONE WHO CONFESSED THE NAME OF THE LORD MUST TURN AWAY FROM WICKEDNESS.”
    Nahum 1:7
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he "knoweth" them that trust in him.
    John 17:3
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Are you a true repentant believer?
