My brother lived on old holley road. I got a universal prybar. That looks like a rock pic at harbor freight tools. Its so cool

Fee digs have there own place in the rockhounding world, its nice to go somewhere and have a pretty much guarantee find. Sometimes tailings are amazing! I'm always surprised when I hear someone say "discard piles are there for a reason".

There is a place in Southern Oregon where you can dig for Carnelian but there is also tons and tons of jasper type material that it just scattered everywhere and I was told there used to be piles of it but someone must've come back and took all the discarded jasper that everyone else didn't want.

That ranch is easily one of the coolest places in Oregon. I dug for the first time there back in the late 2009. Maybe this year I'll finally make it back.

I have to check this place out. I have heard a buddy tell me about it when showing me a piece of petrified wood in his collection. I just never asked more about it. I always assumed people were talking about a "spot" where you can find it so I never over asked, thinking it was a honey hole type spot on some back road or something? This is so cool.

My family hasn't been to Holleywood Ranch in many years. From your description, it sounds like Brad or his father don't run the dig site anymore. We found many awesome pieces out there. Thank you Kyle, for another great video. 💚

It's run by a new family and will be having a name change soon. I'm just waiting for the official word before I help them get the word out!
And you're welcome! Thank you for watching!

Agatized petrified wood is one of the coolest things to find and look at. Some can be so intricate and diverse. I did not know there was a designated spot in sweet home. Im from Corvallis so this is great news.

      I'm also in Corvallis! haha
I will need to make sure that the family still has that open to the public by appointment as I would like to go back out there before too long! Just need to wait for the group to dry up a little more.
