For an inflexible person the lateral knee ligaments will give before the hip ligaments. Standing stretches that involve one hip in stability will create tension in the other hip being stretched inhibiting relaxation.

Hey tappbrothers, i honestly been watching so many parkour videos and i tried some stuff and honestly, i found my true love but, i want to get a bit stronger and a bit skinnier since im decently fat so i started to do your workout witch is: 3 reps of 6 eccentric pushups, squats and incline pushup, ab row and pull ups, and then, i figured out it would be good to add your burpee to, but my question is: How many times do i do this a week and what days should i do them? anyone that is aware of this answer please

You can easily combine exercise 1 and 2 by doing it on a table instead of chair or floor. Easy lean forward and put your elbows, fore arms or fore head on the table top.

One personal experience on how to improve flexibility:
I started doing sport since I turned 14, in order to combat my bad posture.
A decade later, I could do 100 sit-ups, squats and push ups, but I could still not touch my F-ing toes!
My flexibility improved in many aspects, even when doing a stretch only once per week and I managed to get into the lotus-seat for example, but still even after doing stretches every day, I did not improve on getting to my toes, nor doing a true Slavic squat.
By chance I found the solution to my problem: don't sit as much, as you're supposed to in the West!!!!
    1) put the feet up and try to sit straight (a real struggle for me, but the computer screen motivated me ;-)
    2) try to get into the Slavic squat (leaning against a wall for stabilisation) and try to hold it for at least 10min. Repeat as often as you can.
I saw improvements within a few days!

Hi TappBrothers, if you don't mind answering my question. What's the technique for running to prepare yourself before doing a kong vault (or anything that's similar to that skill like dive kong) I've seen some of the parkour athletes put their hands at their back while running before they do a kong vault (like the people in Naruto anime run 😂) but others didn't. They said they did that so it won't take their time to prepare for a kong vault or dive kong. Also, you guys are awesome note that 😉 hope to meet you if I can someday :D

To counteract the effects of sitting...shouldn't you be lengthening your hip flexors? These stretches seem to be keeping the hips in flexion - same as sitting. Apologies if I've misunderstood something, and thanks for doing the vids.

Well I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but you know how some muscles stay stretched and tight all the day pull to one direction therefore not allowing the knee to do it’s business!
