Father Chapin, you are so right! I think they call it 'fake it to make it' :) I started venerating the crucifix at my front door each morning and night, kneeling down and praying the "Our Father", "Hail Mary", and "Glory Be". Initially, I felt like a fraud, not considering myself devout and 'old school' reverent like that. With time, and God's grace, it is now the most natural move of my day, and my prayers of thanksgiving and adoration go on and on. I have callouses on my knees which I consider my most attractive physical feature :) Thank you, Father Chapin, and happy, blessed New Year to you and your family from me and mine!
